About to get a lesson from gun Jesus
Amen!
Gun Jesus. That will stick. Love it.
He will cleanse us of our sins.
The high explosive dual purpose low velocity 40mm leaves a highly satisfying white flash upon impact on a steel truck silhouette
Imagine a speedloader for that behemoth. It'd be impractical but awesome.
It would still be terrific fun to shoot chalk grenades. Mainly because I can see the projectile in flight and the low velocity makes it more challenging.
"A little more difficult for me as a lefty than for normal right handed person."
So sad to see Ian suffering from internalised dexterity.
Southpaws unite!
*p r o b l e m a t i c* ;)
Yeah, at school they tried to get my left-handed little girl to write right handed, not sure why. And this wasn't very long a go.
@@MongooseTacticool because is right
Eighty One my mom was taught to write with her right hand, and the only two things it accomplished is that it took her far longer to learn and that her handwriting was atrocious for quite a long time
@@bosknight7837 Which hand does she uses now?
Reeducation was common in the past like you'd would use special boots to fix straight feet (not the same thing of course).
JonatasAdoM writes with her right, does everything else with her left
The anticipation on that last shot nearly killed me.
"What makes me a good Demoman? If I were a bad Demoman, I wouldn't be sittin' here discussin' it with ya, now would I!?"
My lecturer at uni helped with the barrel of that thing:
Dr. Danie Els:
1983 - 1986: Armscor, Small Arms Division
Research and Development Engineer
Member of a team that did the design, development and qualification of a multi shot 40mm
grenade launcher for the SADF Infantry.
Is this the firearm of choice for Desert Brutality 2020?
Desert Brutality 2020:
-Karl: "Hey, full auto might work"
-Ian: "Nah, I have a better idea"
Explore Seafaring if you cannot find any of the targets, does it count as a single hit?
And at that particular moment when I noticed them blue tips - I just knew something was going to be missed in this video.. bummer...
But still, a pretty cool video.
"Shooting the Milkor M32 40mm Grenade Launcher"
YOU WHAT!?!
Training rounds.
Yes, I was about to give it a like BEFORE watching the video... but was a bit disappointed. Just imagine Ian's insane smile if shooting HE grenades :D
fourth round in the second volley chalked right out the barrel-you can see what's left strike the ground before the targets in a cloud of white dust.
7:16 I see what you mean with „inconsistent“. :D
I've been thinking about one of those X-Products under-barrel 37mm launchers for a while, figuring 1 shot at a time won't burn through those expensive chalk and smoke rounds so fast. This M32 is the (pipe) dream though. Thanks for the video Ian! And Milkor, you guys rock!
7:18 looks like a premature split in the chalk round, good thing it wasn't live...
The legit stuff is made to a significantly higher standard
The HE has an arming system. You can spin them around and make them arm a lot closer, but they do have it.
Good eyes man...
Brendan - the chalk rounds are crappy in the quality department and it is not uncommon for them to pop immediately upon leaving the muzzle of one's M203, koff koff, orange everything and Privates speculating about the implications of that happening with an HE round, "Duuuude - like if that was a live round ?!? Duuuuuuude!", etc.
Never heard of OEG sights. Had to look 'em up. Fascinating idea, and one I definitely want to try.
"Patterson fire a warning shot!" P: "Sir, this is an M32 rotary-" "Ah, potato potato, FIRE A WARNING SHOT!" * THUMP *
Hi Ian I enjoy your revues on the fire arms. Here is some interesting facts regarding the Milkor weapons. The designer of the M32 ( Milkor MGL Y2 ), Stopper (37-38mm), MGL Super 6 (40mm), Under Slung (40mm) and BXP 9mm was Andries C Piek. He also use to be the owner of Milkor.
I had wondered why the training round was nicknamed "cheetos". That ultra slo-mo at the end was awesome. Like waiting for a bus waiting for the round to hit the target.
Just getting ahead start on future forgotten weapons. This will be a forgotten in 25 years. The low numbers purchased and the small number of users seem to be a very popular trend with forgotten weapons.
"Normal, err, right handed people"
Armchair psychologists would call that an unconscious consideration of oneself as abnormal.
**Adjusts armchair**
Armchair politician here would assume it's to try and not offend but-hurt lefties.

Got to mess with one of these in our armory while I was in, let me tell you its true "Military Grade" machining. Holding one and getting to mess around with the cylinder and trigger mechanisms gives you a sense that you could drop one off a skyscraper and it would survive.
“Ugh, got the War Machine from the box AGAIN!”
That looked like soooo much fun. Definitely right up there with shooting LMGS.
My kid saw me watching this and asked, "Is that Gun Jesus playing Splatoon?"
Awww, was hoping to see Ian deliver some "instant sunshine" but chalk training rounds are cool too.
On an even better note I'm watching the video with my freshly minted new Gun Jesus (Chassepot to FAMAS) poster; which arrived today, on the wall looking down upon me! Truly it is a case of " Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition". (Though the fact I was gouged £12 in import tax for it did add a little tarnish to the shine of its beauty.)
The poster is awesome Ian, congratulations to HK for making it, sorry I couldn't afford the book at the moment, but hopefully I'll pick up a copy when and if you do a second run.
During the slow motion part at the end in my head I hear Lionel Richie Hello playing.
This thing needs a speed loader is that when you wind it and twist as you load it. Great video. This weapon is ideal to blow stuff up. Modern day bloop gun with extra cylinders.
And by "chalk training rounds", you mean you are launching sticks of roll-on deodorant. I mean, just look at them!
Andre Goran shooting cans of ax.
The targets will smell good.
I've actually used deodorant caps when reloading for my 37mm launcher just because they look cool.😁
I think this and the Flamethrower episode are the only times I have ever seen Ian undeniably enjoying himself.
"Hey guys, thanks for tuning in to another video of Forgotten Weapons dot com.
I'm Ian McCollum and today I'm out here in Hong Kong where I'm going to demonstrate the riot control capabilities of this Milkor M32 40mm grenade launcher with tear gas and smoke grenades".
love that chunky sound it makes when it fires
That was the fastest click in the West for me
We all know the wider the barrel the more awesome comes out of the end. This is very awesome.
