Hello from Wyoming! Great lesson man. I got it right off. Been trying to figure it out for a long time. I've got you saved and marked now. Thanks again. Don
I am learning all the time, and my previous comment didn't make sense as you played it exactly the same as I learned it, except for the e on the 7th fret, also I used 3 fingers for the power chords. I just didn't understand when you were naming all the notes. So a really good lesson man.
How about a guitar lesson for the other major Robert Palmer song, Simply Irresistible?! 30 years! BTW. Andy Taylor, ex-guitarist for Duran Duran, played lead guitar for Addicted to Love!
PROBABLY G -AAAAA TWO TIMES ---THEN F TO G...thats by doing it in my head ;)...CRAZY THING JUST HAPPENED.I WAS JUST GIVING SOMEONE A CVT PRICE FOR A BACKSTAGE VERSION OF THIS SONG BY VAN HALEN W SAMMY HAGAR...TOO CRAZY EH?
I'm going to use this tune to do a parody "Addicted to Quail" for a USQuail Cooperative ad. I have 4 dancing quail chick's as backup singers and going to dress like Palmer but wear an Elmer Fudd hat. Also going to do a Gimme Back My Bullets ("You can keep your Chickens"), and a few others. Who knows.. I may do an entire Coturnix Quail album! Cheers. Stay Free. Grow your own protein @USQuailCoop
Hey Mike! big fan of your videos. Had to make a channel just to post a comment lol anyways I don't know how you take song request but I see everyone post them here. I was wondering if you could do Ozzy Osbourne - not going away sometime in the future, can't seem to find any lessons on it and everyone seems to play the song in different ways. I'm new to playing so it's hard to follow and pick up on what their doing. Your videos are awesome and I've learned a lot from them, Thank You!
Too good for me Mike, I just couldn't get the beginning chords, I know you say A - D, but I couldn't see what positions your fingers were in, the rest was good
@@rockingguitarlessons Eddie Martinez, the studio ace who recorded it, is himself on TH-cam explaining the song. I guess he's "wrong," huh? If you want to teach it wrong, then go for it -- it's only your credibility. The clean Strat with chorus upstrokes F#min then D9 and then the second time around it goes F#min, D9 and THEN your DMaj power chord which puts you into position for the for the twiddly little double stop fill. I'm really surprised you aren't capable of hearing this. I suggest you give it another listen. th-cam.com/video/XcATvu5f9vE/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=RobertPalmerVEVO.
