Timely information. My other thinking on this was that my pinky should take the low note and my middle and ring take the two upper notes, while holding the pick and not using it, this other recommendation is a strategy with merit. My reason for doing this is because of my great interest in learning a song by Fairport Convention, the, the the Great! The Awesome. And yes I will say it. The Divinely Mandated.
I use hybrid all the time for maximum flexibility of accompaniments But dont forget you still have R H little pinky for 3 note chord against plectrum bass as well as single 3 finger trills
@@ConradHeiney Is there a better guitarist unplugged? RT is more famous for electric, but I wonder. If Jansch was called the best unplugged, where then is RT :) Feels strange to see him like this, like Dylan peacefully promoting strings...
@@ConradHeiney Hi Conrad, so great to meet a friend like you here. RT has been a house god of mine since the late 60s, in fact I've got two lp copies of the Small TR ha ha. You stay healthy in these days!
I love this dude.

It is, he is.
Richard, you might consider trying out a Strum-n-Comfort pick. Seems to me it
would match your playing style quite well.
Thanks, but r and l phase error makes it hard to listen
I play exactly the same.
