I like HD Fat Boy a lot. So, I went to visit a local HD dealership and they wanted to charge me a lot over MSRP. So, I eventually bought a 1/12 scale model and I have become a happy owner now ever since.
Sounds Great !! I just came across your channel in my feed actually. I'm happy to support your efforts and those of other fellow moto content creators. I look forward to seeing and hearing more from you in the future ; keep up the great work and ride safe out there.
Great video, thanks you for share. I have the Fatboy 2022 and I wonder what V&H eliminator 300 model you installed. I’m not so sure which model should I buy. Thanks you
Better than the cobra twin slash is the V&H Trin Slash or Cobra Neighbor Haters but i prefer V&H Eliminator 300's with baffle packing removed, V&H Twin Slash, Rhinehart has some nice ones as well.
Honestly, the stock pipes don't sound like a Harley AT-ALL (zero). I wonder if that was intentional ... if you know what I mean. When I got my fatty, on the very same day of signing papers, I ordered louder pipes, which made the WHOLE LOT MORE SENCE and sound. (so the dealer got much more business from the deal ... if you know what I mean).
Yeh, that's what they call the Harley tax! 😫 Everyone buys the bike and then spends a fortune making it sound like a Harley and customising to own preference. Hope you're enjoying your Fat Boy!
Nice video, well done! I have the same bike, in Blackjack Metallic. What did you do with the two O2 sensors on the pipes? I am very keen to replace my stock pipes with Eliminator 300s, but cant seem to figure out what to do with the two O2 sensors.
@@barackblows1942 Hai... the bikes sold in USA have 2 O2 sensors in head pipes. And the bikes sold outside USA have 2 O2 sensors in head pipes and an additional 2 O2 sensors in mufflers.
That was the issue, Vance & Hines are not making slip ons with the o2 sensor which is necessary for the 2021 European bikes. The solution is a remap direct at the ECU, avoiding a FP3 tuner and meaning the existing Eliminator 300s can be fitted. Still a Stage 1.
That's my dream bike, do either of you have any concerns with leaving your bikes out in bad weather. I don't mean overnight but rather if you took it to work and had to leave it outside for several hours. Really nice job on both your bikes
Thanks Dan. To be honest, I take bike out in decent weather and avoid poor weather. I keep it indoors so can't comment on how it would be in bad weather. I'm sure it would be fine if you keep it clean. You could also use a cover. I did see an Iron 883 looking poor, rust and peeling paint, it was just 2 years old. You also see bikes 10+ years old looking great. I would definitely use one of the treatments such as ACF50 to protect your bike. Hope that helps.
@@1scottishiron I am the same, I only ride in good weather, I had an 8hr spinal fusion op a few yrs ago, which didn't work & my back would be in bits if I had to detail a reall dirty machine. I have a 2017 Fatboy lo Special, it was the lowest ever production Harley, mine was a superceded model, so they threw in V & H Big Radius pipes, Screaming Eagle Air Cleaner & an FP3 tuner, as well as a sissy bar & rack. I love the Fatboy, always puts a smile on my face, have a great weekend 👍

You need to speak to your dealer. I did a deal when I bought the bike which included the stage 1. I’d suggest checking with a couple of dealers if you can.
Those Speedster Slashdown look DOPE on the Fat Boy, thinkin about a set of them for my Fat Boy 114, but in Chrome. Those look better than Shortshots and they have a crossoverport on them for the mufflers too. Awesome pipe choice.

Did you get the new pipes too?
The pipes sound great on both bikes. Nice to hear that thundering Harley roar! Great choice, thanks for sharing.
I think so John. Transformed the bike! 👍

Hi ray. Nice meeting you today. Impressive view count on this video!

Good seeing you too Dom! Great seeing you enjoying test drive on the Fat Boy. You got your own bike sorted now?
@@1scottishiron yep. Regular videos going up on my channel
Those V&H Eliminator 300 sound great, and not stupid loud. Nice.
Have you fit the FP4? Or no need to have it with this slip ones?

I’ve got a 2020 FatBoy with the V&H Twin Slash… just curious what you guys think about those vs the eliminator series?
Great Stuff!!

I just bought a 2023 Heritage Classic and the dealer told me if I changed the pipes it would affect my warranty.
Hi i have the same bike in cyprus.i hope they can do the ecu here.is that ok with the warranty?

The O2 sensors are in the head pipes.

@@1scottishiron thanks Man! It helps! How does the remap at ECU? Can the HD (Abu Dhabi) guys do it for me?

Thanks for sharing video helped lot.
Good to hear! Thanks.
Those are very tame. Definitely not as loud as the V&H Big Radius on my Fat Boy but sound good. Better than stock!
They are fairly tame, definitely not as loud as my 3" V&H slip ons on the Sportster. Massive improvement to stock which sounds poor.

Thanks for sharing.
Driving in the wrong side of the road. All those cars had to move over. Very reckless!
Haha!
Problem . Once the packing burns out , They sound like s#it !!!
Really? I hadn't heard that.
@@1scottishiron they do need repacking quite often but no big deal... sound great by the way!👍
Why would the packing burn out? I've had no problems of that sort with the Eliminators on my Sport Glide, 3 years fitted.
