Really looking forward to see this game in its entirety. Lol A1U should take note on how to reveal a product....good communication, right up front with stuff.
I actually think the machine looks fantastic. Maybe for Godzilla the cartoonish style is OK, but for a franchise like Jaws you need to have a more realistic look. I also like the more open playfield and personally think that Godzilla is overcrowded. Looking forward to playing that game.
I agree, I really like the look. It reminds me of a shore town in the 80s. I think it's good that they're trying something new. It is a lot more muted than Godzilla; maybe that makes it stand out more?
I personally like thay you're diving into pinball content. I started with Arcade1up which was the gateway to real arcades then real pinball machines. Been watching you for the last 3 years or so and dig what you're doing. Cheers from North Carolina!
Playfield is a little underwhelming but I love the IP and in Elwin we trust so I placed an LE order this morning. IMHO Elwin has never made a bad shooting game and I’m betting on this one also being a good shooter.
I like the art on the LE tbh and yes I own GZ Premium. But I never get LE's I don't see the value there, will get a premium if the rest of this weeks information goes well.
Michael B. I agree with you, Jaws does look a bit bland, especially vs a Godzilla. And of course, Godzilla had many more enemy types. What's Jaws' only enemy? A bigger boat. Yeah, the theming isn't great for me. But I have the solution. Stern should retool this machine as a Jaws vs Meg... Now hear me out. A Jaws vs Meg vs Sharknado vs Santa Jaws! Now we're cookin'! The artwork would be insane, not to mention more elaborate toys! Stern has been a snooze fest for me since Rush. Everything after, theme-wise, has been a letdown and Jaws is just another in that string for me. At least we have other companies picking up Stern's slack now, Labyrinth and Elton John just to name a couple. I do hope Stern can get back on it, maybe get with one of the greatest Rock Bands in the world, The Darkness, and make a Sci-Fi bonanza of a Pinball Machine! I wish Stern would call me. I got to be honest, the playfield looks a bit disappointing in that video. We'll see what more we get this week. Additionally, my premium Stranger Things got to my distributor just before Christmas and it was so damaged they had to refuse delivery. So not having a good few pinball weeks here.
I have two Elwin titles (JP and JB 60th) and the playfield is in line with the simplicity he seems to employ. Not sure I'm down for a deposit on this one.
Hey Mike, I have the opposite opinion on the playfield, I think the trend towards very busy playfields actually hurt game play as they cut off angles making shots very specific. I think shot values and variety, how well the playfield communicates game progression and artwork make a great playfield. I actually don’t like the Godzilla playfield as I find it too busy but have only played it a few times so maybe I would appreciate the shot making aspects of it better with more play. Love the content and love that the shillanati have gotten into real pinball.
I don't get the point of why so many of you are focusing on these Stern tables. PB is cool but how many of us are really going to dump $10,000 on a machine? Many can barely make food payments. We all can't shill and get free machines from Stern for posting reviews. But the amount of "content" produced targeting that 0.1% of us that can even afford one is kinda lame.
Sorry you feel that way, you could always just watch something else. I like pinball and I am interested in it so i wanted to make a video. I also think it's pretty cool that Stern reached out to Retro Ralph and Kongs R Us to send them loaner machines to make videos. Sorry if that isn't your jam
Don't forget that some of us live in areas where pinball machines and arcades are still around. I have probably spent about $300 in quarters last year and got to play all these new stern tables, Godzillas are everywhere. Not everyone is buying these tables.
You should be watching this for the entertainment value. I enjoy watching these guys, I look forward to their shows on the weekend. if they receive things from them, then so be it. They take the time to make these shows. You don't need to be a downer. Go watch something else that makes you happy.
Hey knucklehead. You realize these machines are out on location. There are tons of places within 30 min where I can play all these games and I’m sure the new jaws will be one of them.
Can't compare godzilla and jaws art work...... that's not a fair comparison. It's in line with the theme..... bright colors on jaws is not really jaws.....i mean it's about water and a shark..... what colors they make those in? Let's just look at things for what they are.
