The chaotic traffic is actually one of the things I find surprisingly calming. You will never see road rage and you will find that you are more at peace within the chaos as you ride amongst everyone. I'm often annoyed by others while commuting in Canada and sometimes it can be stressful.
As a Vietnamese person currently living in Canada, thank you so much for this!! Planning to bring my girlfriend there in 2024 for her to see the country. Saving this video to plan out my trip.
I’m visiting Vietnam in early March (Saigon) for the first time , and I have watched a TON of peoples travel videos, and this was by far the best one. Thank you for actually narrating and giving information! I’ve come across so many videos, where people just walk around the city with no narration, a waste of time in my opinion Your video incredibly informative and put together so well. Thank you very much and I look forward to watching more of your videos.

Note to self: Mui Ne - sunrise sand dune tour Hoi An - Japanese bridge, lantern Festival (14th each month, Eco Lux Boutique - potential room upgrade) Da Nang - Mountains, Helio Night market) Hanoi (train street) Ha Long Bay (luxury cruise + hike) Sapa (cat cat village, fansipan cable car)
You did a great job recapping your trip last year, Mandy. Next time, you should visit Da Lat, Ninh Binh, Phu Quoc (the waterpark "Chase and Shelbs" showed looked so cool!) and do the Ha Giang Loop (although technically you and guys would be doing it illegally as the US, Canada, and Australia didn't sign the 1968 Vienna Convention...but that's not stopped people from riding the loop and many have said it's the best thing they did in Vietnam or even in their life.)
Another great video guys. You are really getting to be a valuable channel for us. We are planning two visits to Vietnam in the coming years, this Summer and again on our RTW drive. You did a great time doing such a broad subject in a short time. That has been difficult for us to pull off. If you are interested in seeing what a father-son team of anthropologists turned park rangers turned travel vloggers does when we are on the road, we would love your support and opinions on how we can improve our efforts to promote eco-tourism, cultural heritage and the amazing people of the World. Cheers, my friends! - Turtle and Bear
Excellent presentation guys, four of us head off on Thursday for 23 days and like yourself we are starting our journey in the south. We decided to start at Phu Quoc island for an initial bit of R&R staying for four nights staying at the Poplar resort costing a whopping £142 for two decent rooms😊 then onto Ho Chi Mihn city, after that overnight train to NRA Trang, then overnight train to Da Nang both 4 berth sleepers, from there to Phong Na for the caves, finally to Hanoi to take in luxury Halong Bay cruise and a few days in Hanoi before flying home. It was comforting as well as informative watching your well put together piece, and as a beer drinker I cannot wait. Keep up the good work and I will look forward to you guys for other inspiration and recommendations in the future. Good Luck Frank xx
How did you book train ticket there in Vietnam. And also are you taking any domestic flights there or traveling through buses and trains around. Please do share me your travel itinerary and travel action plans if possible. Thanks in advance
Hi, We took internal flight from Hanoi, pretty much directly from landing in Hanoi, so effectively getting the flying done early. We decided to go to Phú Quoc first to recover from long flights from London. The flew to Ho Chi Minh, we booked both these internal flights online via Vietnam Jet website. We decided that enough flying was completed until our return to London, so have looked at overnight trains with cabin for sleeping, so this made good use of our daytime adventures, both our trains were booked again online prior to arriving in Vietnam, but these can just be arranged online anytime, there are plenty of options and at this time of year being post new year celebrations there should be enough availability. Buses are another option and slightly cheaper, but people we have spoken to since arriving have validated our option for night trains. Good luck with your planning.
Just done with all the Vietnam Vlogs and this recap! It’s amazing how your videos get better with each Vlog! On to the Philippines vlogs! Thanks again for all the both of you do here. 🙏🙏🙏
Hi Mandy and Lloyd, thank you for your very clear, informative and helpful post. I’ll be visiting Vietnam soon. Your video was excellent. Geoff, from Fremantle, Western Australia 🇦🇺
Hi, so informative, I will be using your vlog to plan my trip. Did you mention where you'll stayed in Hanoi or did miss that. Please let me know. Thanks.
This was a great video and very helpful. We are leaving in two days and I usually have every detail planned and researched months in advance and this time have nothing planned but now have some great ideas on what to do and try. Did you get bored bring on the train that long and have issues sleeping? I’ve always wanted to try it but worried I wouldn’t be able to sleep as I’m a light sleeper with a bad back. Thank you from Sydney Australia ❤🙏
Thanks to both of you for all you work in showing others what a great world we have to explore. I truly love your drone shots and was wondering what drone you use and if you have any recommendations for beginner video editing. Thank you!
Love this! Thank you Lloyd and Mandy, used your tips to plan my fiancés engagement moon. Unfortunately we didn’t get to experience Sappa so will have to come back next year! Would definitely recommend following this channel. Oh and if you can a few nights at vinpearl luxury will definitely be worth it especially in Autumn 🍂
Hi Mandy and Lloyd, thanks for the amazing video. Did you also happen to visit or have any views on Phu Quoc Island and Ninh Binh, we're planning to visit both these places instead of Mui Ni and Da Nang Thanks in advance 😊
I would like to travel to Vietnam and stay for 2 and 1/2 months. I feel unsure as to how the visa extension works, or if it really exists, as I can't seem to find any solid information on it. You said that you could extend your visa once you have arrived in Vietnam for up to three months. Is that something both of you did? If not did you know people that extended their visa after their 30 days were up? I can't book my flights until I know how long I can stay in the country. Any help would be much appreciated.

You have not riding motorbike from North-South or vice versa. If you manage overcome all the problems along the way and take up the challenge the people, the police, the traffic, the weather, the road throw at you and survive then your marriage will last forever. Whether you like the country or not, Vietnam is a real deal in Asia. beleive me, there are thousand of couple going separate way after Vietnam trip. why ? the lady saw the golden star , very warm, kind, caring, loving and gentle . the man she though was Mr Right turn out to be Mr Rip off deal.
I am Vietnamese and to me the thumbnail and title is white-splaining. I’ve never been offended even by racist jokes but the title rubbed me the wrong way. Not writing this to hate; just some feedback; I have nothing against you Mandy and am sure you are a sweet person with good intentions, but I am just standing up for Asians, especially Asian Americans. To me it felt tacky to portray that you are an expert in traveling to Vietnam, to me it should be left to Vietnamese people to explain. I never was offended by “cultural appropriation” and didn’t stand for the weird “stop Asian hate movement”, but the title and thumbnail did make me feel weird. Also I am not saying I want you to change bc clearly a lot of people liked your video which is great that it has a positive impact on some people

I like Lloyd's personality counter-part to Mandy's. He is dryly witted, seems to me. I will stand corrected.

Hey, great information and advice. Wondering if you still have the accommodation site you spoke about in this video?
Well detailed thankyou
Most in Vietnam is only 1/15 cheaper than in the US
Nice video - maybe you should clarify that not everyone needs a VISA (e.g. UK citizens)

How long in advance did you have to book your Ha Long Bay cruise?

great video, have you got one for thailand?
What time of year did you guys travel to Vietnam?
I am planning to travel over there ! This summer . Hopefully btw I never travel ever
Bon voyage ❤️🙂👍🥇 thanks for sharing
Thank you! 😃
Great video! How to get the permit to fly drone in Vietnam? Thanks!
Can I ask you some questions
Hi guy's were planing going soon . I see you haven't mentioned where you stayed in Hanoi any tip please
What month did you go?
I will be going for a month in February. I was going to travel mostly in the south and into Cambodia. Got any info on Tay Ninh?
So you can apply for a 3 month visa when your in the country or you need to do it before you go?
Did you use cash for all purchases? Do hotels, Taxi, bus, restaurant, gyms, etc all accept cash as US$
Not US dollars no. You need exchange currency
@@LloydandMandy Thank you for the update. What are some of the better places there to exchange US$?
@@mr.g1683 Honestly we use a travel acrd so we withdraw money from the ATM in local currency, but there are plenty of places to exchange
Great tips! Are you allow to bring a drone into Vietnam? We are thinking about it, but don't know if they will take it away.
Ours is a mini, so it’s allowed in most countries. You can bring a larger one just have to register it
Why have you decided to skip Hue in Central Vietnam?
Wheb did you all go there? I hope Bear has totally recovered
we were in Vietnam in June
Is HMC like Bangkok?
So you mean If I just submit Hotel reservation that will be alright? No need Air tickets reservation documents?
Is it possible to apply for multiple entry visa? i.e go to Hanoi then Chiang Mai then Ho Chi Minh?
How was it with the language ?
Super
Vietnam gv website dont work for the e-visa
Did you miss out on Ninh Bình?
yes, but we just went back there so stay tuned for a video

Hmmmm advising people to stay in the worst places in Saigon is not the best start to a "best guide to Vietnam"
Do you need to be fully vax to go to Vietnam? Can the unvax go there?
You do not need to be anymore
Ho Chi Minh committed a landlord slaughter in the 1950s. Ken Burns himself showed that of Ho in a book.
That’s not good
