Thank you so much for leaving in your "Happy Accidents" it makes me feel that I am not the only one that makes them. Then to show us how to correct them is a fabulous idea. Loved the purple heart, but purple is my favourite.
I do like the blue angled card best. To be honest, I really didn't think I would, mainly because I couldn't figure out what you were doing! I thought your "oops" was that you cut the blue mat instead of the print. I thought you were going to leave an angled bit of the print on the top, pointing down. Silly me! You always do something unexpected, Wendy!
@@villagecardandcrafts Great news! We are fine here in OR, TY, enjoying early Fall weather without the wildfire smoke of the last two years. A welcome gift!!
Great cards! You are very sweet. :) Leaving your mistakes in , is a great idea because I make them all the time. lol Thank you for the great video. ❤️❤️❤️from Alberta , 🇨🇦
I love the way your mind works ☺️ I almost never respond to which is my favourite, but this time, I must say that it is the shaped heard and that stinkin' cute skunk!
You popping the top off your wilted violet ink is up there in my list of top techniques with throwing dies to get out the die cuts, as performed by Gina and Jennifer!! LOL!!! Plus, of course, great tip to take of the cover of your glue bottle - I am so with you. I have a certain glue with a turn-tip - can't tell you how many times it was closed and I pressed hard, harder ... Or the times I thought it was closed and gave it a good shake. Don't want to go into details on that last one. Having a good stash of original backgrounds makes creating personal cards so much easier. Thx for another great video!
😂😂. Yup I got purple ink under my nails with that graceful dismount! I drop the dies that are stubborn. Doesn’t always work but hey it makes me feel better!
I’m enjoying your videos and ideas. One thing you may want to try, for the shaped card, cut another full shape from white cardstock (or whatever color you want) and glue it onto the card base so you don’t see the fold.
You use a lot of that distress oxide, is that different than regular ink? I’d love to see a video of you talking about your favorite/most used supplies!
Yes, Distress Oxides are different. “Most” inks are dye inks. Those would include Catherine Pooler, Altenew, and Simon Says Stamp. They dye the paper, are translucent, and are great for stamping. Pigment inks sit on top of the paper, are opaque, and are slower drying (needs to be heat set). Dye inks won’t show up on dark card stock, but pigment inks do. Distress Oxides is a hybrid ink. It is a dye ink with pigment in it. It is creamy in texture and shows up on chard stock. They are water reactive so they are great for lots of techniques and they are opaque. Love them for ink blending too!
Which finished card was your favorite?
Too hard to choose, but I love skunks!
The Purple Heart and skunk is my fav. I love seeing makers showing the mistake and fixing it. Keeping it real! 😊
Thank you! 😊
Great idea! Must give it a try!
Wonderful! Have fun. 😊

Purple is one of my favs, too! Trust me when I say you are not alone. I make plenty of mistakes along the way. 😊

Glad it was helpful!🩵

Great idea and like all the cards. Hope you didn’t have much damage with the hurricane. We dodged a bullet. I was so scared. TFS

What was different about older embossing folders?
They weren’t 3D so they didn’t have the levels of dimension that are found in. Folders purchased today.
Wendy, this is so cool!
Thank you for sharing your creativity! Love them both! I really love the Happy Birthday, butterfly 🦋 ❤🫶🏽❤️🫶🏽…
