being a blind player, playing with the mineCraft-access mod. I struggle to keep track of when its getting dark outside. So having one of these timers to teleport me back to my base near my bed when its time to sleep will be great

How does playing blind work? I’m genuinely curious about this, it’s not a perspective I’ve encountered before. How does it alter how you play? Do you do redstone and farms? Or do you mostly avoid building? Again yours is a unique perspective I’ve never encountered so I’m curious to hear more about it

@@Spectervamp1 using the MineCraft-access mod, it allows a screan reader to read out what block you are looking at, navigate GUIS, and give status on hunger/health etc. it also uses camera controls through hot keys so we can control the camera movement. Is it to the level of a sighted player, no, but its giving blind players a opertunity to try and play. For myself, I do building, mining, (basic branch mining) and red stone farms (mostly learned through Pixlriffs). I go to the nether some times, and haven't really eexplored the end. combat is still difficult

I had been following along with the MSG Season 3 but with experimental bundles on. The changes for official bundles harmlessly carried over all my items with no problems. And the changed behavior took a bit to get used to but are really a good workflow for frequent items, workstations, ender chests and misc stuff like this.

My one suggestion would be to try having the raw item in inventory, and bundle the storage block forms to begin with when mining.
You lessen the amount of clicking to get items to consolidate (no need to pull stuff out the bundle just to put some of it back), and you avoid having your inventory clutter up as quickly as you are picking up the raw items, they'll stack with the existing ones, where as with storage blocks in the inventory, the newly mined raw iron becomes another stack/slot used.

What's even more interesting is that you can now dot ender pearls in water columns around your farms that need to be chunk-loaded instead of creating a complex contraption to cycle items into and out of a set of nether portals. And, this should work in the end as well.

I usually find it easier to keep a slot for the resource (especially common ones like iron or redstone) so I dont have to stop to consolidate them as often. Resource blocks I dont have many of, or precious resources like diamonds can go in the bundle.

This is so exciting, because you could even make a 'vacation' or exploration or any other spot that you want to go to regularly (you could use external tools to find interesting locations, for example with a lot of different biomes, or triple witch huts).
Now it's much easier to make use of the sheer amount of area available in Minecraft. Just use two (maybe even more?) of these contraptions on timers to regularly teleport to and from tens of thousands of blocks.
While I believe these teleporters were possible earlier, they seem much easier now. And they're definitely more practical than ice roads or whatever for such large distances.

I think this is super useful on a multiplayer server too! You could for example have a friend teleport you back once you've gotten an item so you didn't have to rely on a timer and accurate guess on the duration. Or it could be a great way to summon people for meetings or games (like in hermitcraft during the mycelium war). Several times I've heard mention of using it to limit game duration, such as ABBA caving, but could be good for scavenger hunts, PvP, or mazes too. Wish bedrock had this

I'm fairly certain the reason the teleporter still works over a chunk boarder is because of lazy chunks. Long story short, lazy chunks are the chunks right outside the loaded ones, where blocks can still do things, but entities can't. The ender pearl does only load one chunk, so if you try to load something like an sheep farm with it, you will need the sheep to be in the same chunk as the ender pearl, but the Redstone can be in the neighboring chunks.

      @unmeclambda5837 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

I'm not familiar with the crofters mechanics but if you can't just pull out items from it with a hopper unless it crafted something, you could probably set up a loop with items like raw materials that can be crafted into a block, which can also break down into its components. That way when the crafter gets the item, it send the redstone signals, which then ends up feeding back into the crafter to craft an item that gets picked up by a hopper feeding into another crafter, which crafts it into raw components that end up feeding back into the dropper.
There's probably a much easier way to do this but that's a start I'd say

This is amazing! I have a few questions, please. 1) Does this work on Bedrock? 2) Does the ender pearl that you throw in the water still despawn after 5 minutes if the chunk is loaded? 3) Does it only teleport the person that throws it? If so, can more than one person throw one in the water for the same effect? Thank you
Edit: 4) On Java, if you build one at spawn where the chunk is always loaded, will the ender pearl despawn after 5 minutes?

    • @unmeclambda5837

Since a minecraft day is 20 minutes, you can see that the ender Pearl doesn't despawn in 5 minutes or else this contraption wouldn't work. That's because it's not a dropped item but an entity kept in motion

@@unmeclambda5837 Thank you. I can see that it didn’t despawn but I wasn’t sure if it was because he left the area and the chunk unloaded. @@samuelzmommy He explained that ender pearls now keep the chunk loaded (but only when thrown, if you drop an ender pearl on the ground it won't keep the chunk loaded). Sorry if my initial comment came off wrong.
This mechanic applies to any item that can be thrown in a bubble column yes,you can try to drop arrows or tridents in a bubble column and you'll take damage once you get in (or anything that you throw in there). It doesn't apply to dropped items though, these will despawn after 5 minutes of the chunk being loaded

I guess your opinion on the bundle really depends on how you like to play the game.
For me personally, I like to play in a well developed world. Other than your village POI bag (which is an excellent idea) I don't see many other uses for a bundle beyond that. I honestly can't see a situation in which I would rather keep less than a stack of random items as opposed to throwing it out.

Better for places you have mini bases rather than exploration like tearing apart a mesa but you could literally collect resource until your inventory is full and just be sure to sleep on time. Or even building far away from your storage system. Just build build build and oops, out of material, let me just not sleep and be teleported back to grab more stuff. Furnaces would work, crops wouldn't. Crop growth relies on random ticks, which only happen when a player is nearby. Same goes for stuff like amethyst buds growing, copper aging, cauldrons filling with lava.

    • @Pixlriffs

With this design, you manually reset the counter every time you want to use it. It'll only affect the player if there's an ender pearl thrown into the bubble column, so it's harmless to let it count items in the meantime - and most nights it won't even count an item because I sleep as soon as it gets dark, and the daylight detector doesn't hit 0 signal output until a minute or two after night falls.
