    They need to invite Bill to a special episode of Hot One's but the 10 lineup will be chosen by Bill instead of the regular 10 on the show. Give Sean a run for his money, and introduce people out there to amazing sauces. Win-Win.

    I love that you name drop other sauces that are spicier than the sauce you’re reviewing. Keep that up, it’s super helpful!
    Also, you should do videos like bang per buck based on heat. I burn through a $10 bottle of hot sauce within 3 days and I gotta figure out how to make my buck stretch lol

    I just tried a couple of dabs of The Last Dab on my pizza, and it didn't really phase me. It's definitely got a nice kick on the tongue, but I didn't freak out or anything. Maybe I have a high threshold for spicy foods, but it wasn't extremely painful...it does have a pleasant flavor.
    That said, I didn't eat NEARLY as much as Bill did. This guy is a champ!

    Yeah, I tried some and knew it wasn't as hot as it claimed to be. The Tropical Pepper Co Scorpion Pepper Mash I have is much hotter.
    At least Hot Ones is having "Exhorresco" as their number 9 this upcoming season. So seems like they will still have a super hot on the list.

    JESUS THAT IS A HUGE SPOONFUL!!! Holy spoonful is right. When I pour onto a spoon I only do like a nickel sized pour otherwise the day is ruined.

  • @RonG40
    @RonG40 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I just got my bottle two days ago (and the original as well.) I'm rather happy that it isn't some burn your face off hot sauce that I can't ever enjoy. (beyond the novelty of watching friends lose their minds...and stomachs).
    Is it hot? Hell yeah...but for lack of a better term, it's a "good" heat...and with a pretty interesting flavor. I've used it on wings, and in a bowl of chili. It's not just your typical hot sauce. At the very least, it aspires to be something different.
    I enjoyed your take on things....and hottest or not, the spoonful you took was an absolute savage move.
    Will I spend another 20 bucks on it? Nah....unless the price comes down I won't reorder it again....but I am not unhappy with my purchase in the least. Nice review!

  • @v5red
    @v5red 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Great review. I was waiting for you to address that 2.4M SHU claim. I didnt think there was any way the guests on Hot Ones could so easily eat wings coated in a sauce as hot as they claimed this was. Plus it would just be irresponsible to jump from mega death to this if this was really almost 2M SHU hotter than mega death.

  • @michaelgoodridge462
    @michaelgoodridge462 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great way of explaining it... A nice even pleasant burn. That's exactly what I got from it. Have you tried Ed Curries' Reaper Squeezins'? I'm curious how that would contend with those other hotter sauces you mentioned in this video.

    • @wmoore862
      @wmoore862  6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yeah, the people trying just a drop have it wrong. It's called The Last Dab, not the ONLY dab. I really like it. Killed 1/2 a bottle by myself in 3 days. It's hotter than some videos claim, but, at least for me, not brutal. It's an everyday sauce for me.

  • @churnobley

    Excellent review Bill! For 35 years, Marie Sharp's (mariesharpishot.com/home) has produced habanero pepper sauces that harmoniously balance flavor and heat. It is not an easy process to make a sauce - as you know - and it is great that Noah & Sean have made a sauce that tastes good and is on the milder side of the scale. We look forward to trying it soon!
    Bill Moore, you are a vitally important asset to our community and many pepper heads live vicariously through your voice. Keep up the great work!

      @wmoore862  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wow....Marie it is such an honor to have you comment here! I recently made good friends with Mike Touby and he reminded me of just how well your sauces are made....and how much I love them. Nobody does carrots, onions, and habaneros like Marie Sharp!!!! Please keep making your wonderful products.

      Marie Sharp's is the best line of hot sauces, bar none. Just had Marie's Naga Jolokia tonight with my dinner.

    • @mariesharp6524
      @mariesharp6524 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello TJO, thank you so much for the compliment, we love our fans! However, we do not currently make a Naga sauce, we are 100% habanero-based at this time, as the pepper is indigenous to the Mayan region in the Yucatan. Stay tuned, we are researching other varieties and may have some news in the near future!

    I'm sure this has been asked many times before and I apologize beforehand for repetition, but are you just really good at dealing with pain or are you just so tolerant to capsaicin that the heat is not too overwhelming? Maybe a combination of both?

    • @wmoore862
      @wmoore862  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for watching. I guess you could say my tolerance is pretty high....I've been doing this for over 4 years now. But trust me....I can be a big baby at times....more so off camera than on. It was hot!! If you want to watch someone that really looks like they are immune to capsaicin...then watch Johnny Scoville's channel "Chase the Heat!"

    • @Bradshaw2727
      @Bradshaw2727 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the quick reply and the channel suggestion. I love hot peppers and hot sauce, but am nowhere near your level. I'm definitely better than when I started, but there's definitely a long way to go!

    • @Bradshaw2727
      @Bradshaw2727 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I followed up on your suggestion. You weren't lying! Having said that, if you look at his earliest videos (and yours too) vs. the newer ones, I've definitely noticed a significant progression in heat tolerance for both of you. Kudos... I'm still working on being able to eat half of an orange habanero without feeling extremely sorry for myself....

    If you have to have a whole spoonful to tell it's hot then it's not anywhere near what they claim. The tip of your stirring rod would be enough if it were really 2.4 million SHU.

    • @wmoore862
      @wmoore862  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Totally agree! Thanks for watching!

    • @WR3ND
      @WR3ND 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      From what I've seen, he generally tastes a spoon full anyway, so what you're saying is a moot point in that regard. But yeah, he said it wasn't that hot, so I see no reason to not take what he said at face value. Could be a case where something is hotter in the lab and on paper than to taste. Not sure if that's a thing or not though. Will be interesting to see how this and Pepper X are received over time and where they weigh in being peer reviewed.

    • @spicefreak4726
      @spicefreak4726 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I know how bill operates but he specifically stated that "you gotta do a good amount to really tell how hot this stuff is", which definitely wouldn't be the case if it lived up to the claims.
      I'm pretty sure he said it was hot, just not as crazily so as it could/should have been.
      Which, after trying it for my own video, most certainly rings true.

    • @WR3ND
      @WR3ND 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, that's what I meant by "that hot." I think he gave it an 8 out of 10 in this video for heat, if I remember correctly, which coming from him is pretty well up there.
      I think for that he was just talking about consistency in taste testing and getting a good mouth coating. I'll always take a teaspoon full when taste testing sauces for the same reason. Just makes sense to me. Some can be a bit too hot for me doing that, but up to ghost pepper levels is generally alright. This way though you get a good taste of the flavor profiles too before the heat sets in.
      I haven't tried the sauce myself, and it may be that there are some inconsistency issue with it as well based on some of the other comments on this video. It'll be interesting to see how this sauce and Pepper X do over time.
      Cheers.

    • @TheJackAssReJects
      @TheJackAssReJects 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Scoville scale isn't actually a perfect representation of heat. It's a test of how many parts of sugar water it takes to dilute the sauce. So a hot sauce that is really hot but dillutes fast will have a lower scoville rating than say something with not as much heat but hard to dillute giving it a higher scoville rating. Only real way to figure out how hot something is, is to taste it yourself. I have a buddy of mine that makes this homemade hot sauce from jalopenos and haberneros and it is hotter than most of these hot sauces with huge scoville rating.

    • @spicefreak4726
      @spicefreak4726 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's a sauce made with Squeezin's. Even if the Pepper's hotter, I doubt the overall heat will be as high as Squeezin's alone.

      @wmoore862  7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Well if this isn’t the hottest, then I don’t want to think about trying any of those other sauces. I like Last Dab, but just a dab’s amount lights my ass on fire. I guess I’m just not made for really hot sauces, even tho I like the consumption aspect of them. Selling second bottle of my order on eBay while the hype is strong, and try to get my money back

    About what I thought...glad it tastes good but the "heat hype" is out of control. I'd be willing to bet this doesn't even hit 1mil let alone 2mil. As far as I'm concerned, nothing touches Ex Horresco for all natural heat.

      I actually do hot sauce reviews on instagram, and I recently did a review of the last dab, and a person commented the exact same thing as you. Burns and Mccoy commented back saying "Now let it be known, I am good friends with all of puckerbutt pepper company. The collab between smokin ed, and heatonist is such a great sauce. I think it is hotter than Exhorresco personally and am not just saying that". I thought that was a rather interesting comment reply. At the same time, we also have to realize that heat can be subjective and vary person to person.

    • @NateInferisDerps
      @NateInferisDerps 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I review sauces as well - though I am more of a Pod Review guy overall...but I doubt I'll be reviewing this sauce because I'd much rather be spending $20 on something like whatever Andrew Jacobson from Drew's Chilli Co is doing next. If someone were to send me a bottle, I wouldn't turn down the chance to review it but it's not something I'm going to shell out my money for at this time. Heat can definitely be a subjective thing but 2+ million SHU is stretching it for this - Bill would be hurting a lot more if that were the case.

    Maybe they just cant keep up with demand so the SHU levels have dropped with all these bottles they need to ship out not allowing for a proper harvest? Who knows, kind of disappointing.

    I think this pepper is still too inconsistent to claim each bottle is 2.3 million scovilles.

    Have you had Da Bomb, the final answer?? More extract, but a nice fruity taste. Very hot

    Bill I’ve tried all the sauces that you say are hotter than The Last Dab and from my experience, The Last Dab was significantly hotter than all of them. The Exhorresco is the least hot of all of them imo.... not sure how you got sick from it.
    To give you an idea of how truly hot The Last Dab is, my brother in-law, who is a local salsa maker, did exactly what you did; took a full teaspoon of it and then we had it on some boneless wings. He ended up having to go to urgent care. The roof of his mouth and throat was severely inflamed and he started getting severe stomach cramps while he was there. This stuff is no joke.
    This really comes down to simple arithmetic: If a sauce is made from the hottest pepper on the planet, then it’s most likely the hottest SAUCE on the planet. I’ve tried virtually everything out there and The Last Dab is the hottest sauce I’ve ever experienced. One last thing, unlike the majority of reviewers that like the taste/flavor, I couldn’t disagree more. Too overbearing for me to even slightly enjoy.

      William Brown- Ok so I received my bottle of TLD a few days ago and for whatever inexplicable reason, it’s not nearly as hot as the bottle that my brother in-law has. It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. We even tried to call Heatonist, but they couldn’t give us a clear answer. They did say that other people had similar experiences and that later batches would be more consistent. Anyhow, that kinda sucks. It’s still hot, but not even close to what we experienced the first time.
      Perhaps Bill also received a ‘dud’ bottle.... ?

      Totally disagree, everyone's different and handles heat for better or worse, the last Dab wasn't all that hot for me and tasted great.

      They apparently say it’ll get hotter as they increase the hottest of pepper x over time, they say that “the last dab” will evolve but how is that a good thing, there would be a discrepancy between the hotness of the bottle

      Bill Moore's Hot & Spicy Reviews. No problem! I know you're legit from your other videos but that looked tricky especially to someone just finding your page.
