It's not only false advertising, it's dangerous. They've got people thinking they can handle 2.4M SHU, that they can take on superhots easily. Let's say that person gets ahold of some reapers expecting 1.6M will be easy, almost 1M less than the xperience sauce.. but its literally over 1.5M SHU hotter. It honestly blows my mind, so disappointing. But its all about the money, isn't it? Support your small time sauce makers, the ones with passion and integrity! ❤️🔥
Yes, I kinda worded it a little differently and didn't say the exact number but that's what I meant by "literally over 1.5M SHU hotter", comparing a 1.6M reaper to the sauce they thought was 2.4M
We only bought that sauce because of the false claims. Thanks for getting the message out that a lot of us are upset that we got deceived and never had a voice to say anything!
And yeah, I got the experience sauce because we were told we would never get access to the actual pepper X pepper but if we wanted to experience pepper X, to buy the sauce instead claiming it was 91% pepper X after all and all it ended up being was just another typical last dab sauce, nothing extraordinary about it. Nothing but a freaking tease.
Too bad Ed’s already made a mint off a lie. Rest assured I won’t be wasting my money on it. Thank you so much for informing me and everyone else that hasn’t gotten around to buying it yet. $30 is a lot of money for me to spend on hot sauce. Also, thank you for being a voice for all of us!!
The minute i heard that Pepper X would not be released - i didn’t believe it was the hottest. Now with these reports it makes Guinness, Hot Ones & Puckerbutt no fun to watch anymore. Can’t believe them or trust anything they say. It’s unfortunate but thank you for all you’re doing. BTW, I’m not a Chili Head but I’ve tried the Pepper X and then Primo’s Swampadelic Sauce - Swampadelic was hotter by a lot!!
I never heard that pepper X wasn’t being released? I’ve been saying for so long now that, the peppers been in existence for 10 or 20 years, but Ed‘s never released it. No one‘s ever eaten it, seen it or grown it. And as a result of that, I don’t believe it’s the hottest pepper in the world for a second! I think it’s all bullsh*t!
It should have been 2.4 million in the original Last Dab from 2017, that only used 50 percent pepper and had turmeric and other stuff, this new one should be way hotter, it uses 40 percent more pepper, and Also multiple forms of that pepper And Also the triple x sauce was Made with ripe peppers, so that excuse doesnt work to why it tested 40k
I wish Ed would offer to fly you out to sit with him and let you eat a raw Pepper X on camera just so we could get your take on the actual pepper. I understand he wants to keep it from the world but there have been one or two people that got to eat a pepper X and I wish he would do that for you.
Puckerbutt can’t have pepper X judged because they are fearful it would not be judged the way they want. If they can’t control the script, they don’t want to be involved. Same reason they were not on the Hulu series. They could have been. Unless I’m proven otherwise, I will remain skeptical of the validity of pepper x.
Hey Johnny. I just bought the tube of terror. I'm trying to get my tolerance up to see how high it gets. I started chasing the heat 3 weeks ago, and I'm already eating 3 to 4 of the peanuts at a time. I eat a couple peanuts with each meal. I've already done the BWW blazing challenge. Didn't phase me, and I asked for more wings. I'm hooked and keep chasing the heat.
@@Jeff-cr9ho haha. Yeah, the tube of terror isn't for the weak. I don't know if I'm a strange case or if it's normal, but I seem to tolerate all kinds of heat fairly well, but I CAN NOT do actual peppers. I have done the Blazin challenge more than once. I did the death nut 3.0, I did the One chip challenge. Etc. They were all very hot, but manageable. Then one time, I ate a single habanero pepper and it ruined my evening. It's very strange. I can't eat actual peppers, but I can eat everything made by peppers.
I've been waiting for the results of this second test. Pretty consistent with the first test, can't say I'm surprised. Thanks for posting it Johnny, keep turning up the heat brother!
Funny, I opened my bottle of Last Dab Xperience for my teenage son and his friends on Superbowl Sunday. We did a hot wing eating contest, they were all scared of the Xperience sauce from all the hype. It turned out to be one of the mildest we used, I believe hellfire original doom was the hottest of the sauces we tried. The teens were laughing at how hot they though Xperience was going to be. Honestly, though, hot sauces are about flavor as well, and Puckerbutt probably has good tasting sauces, Xperience wasn't bad tasting, just disappointing in heat, especially after all the claims.
It's funny you mention hellfire original doom(I assume you meant doomed) under this vid. Got a bottle in the fridge myself. Label says made with 6.66M shu extract, "tested at 2.79 million shu". I also have a bottle of Karma's "ashes 2 ashes", no ratings on the bottle, just "7-pot primo edition, 63% pepper"; No extract in the ingredients. It is literally impossible for the Karma sauce to be 2.7M+. I tried them back to back whit a friend(experienced, but no/little tolerance at the time) and my little brother(total virgin) first ashes, then doomed. I myself was not getting much heat from either (tolerance), dissapointed I took a teaspoon of the doomed and got insta cramped, still not much heat. However, both my friend and lil bro were convinced "the previous one(ashes) was hotter". My friend, crazy bastard he is, went back to the ashes which convinced him even more. I pussy'd out due to already facing cramps. Since I have them in the fridge I have used both multiple times since then and I have to agree with them, ashes is hotter than doomed. And not by a little bit either. The other day I over-poured the doomed and just ate it without thinking too much about it, while I'd be terrified if that had been the ashes; As in, to me, these aren't even in the same ballpark. If the primo's are 1.5-2.2M (range I've seen floating around) then ashes should "only" be about 1-1.5M. Unless these are some 5M shu primo's, doomed is NOT 2.79M. Not even close. ----edit I wanted to say "so doomed is probably more in the 800K-1.2M range. But that seemed ridiculous since hellfire's kranked is supposed to be around 700K-800K. I have a bottle of that too though, so I grabbed my teaspoon. I didn't take full teaspoons since I'm no Johnny Scoville, but made sure to take comparable amounts, kranked and doomed are actually pretty comparable and If you forced me to pick the hotter one I might actually say kranked is the hotter of the 2. Sounds ridiculous, I know, maybe I am literally insane, but that's what it feels like to me.
I was recently in a hot sauce store where I heard multiple customers ask “what’s the hottest sauce you have?” to which the employee answered “the last dab experience.” This store also carries Dave’s Insanity, Da Bomb Beyond Insanity, and many other products which are made from extremely high concentrations of superhots, some of which also contain extracts or other high potency capsaicin containing products. I’m in Canada, and the last dab experience is currently priced at $38CAD, when other (hotter) sauces are priced at $20-$25CAD at most.
@@richyoung4051 there are countless sauces that are in the ballpark of da bomb now. Many of which have amazing flavour, and are without a fraction of a doubt WAY hotter than the last dab.
Those numbers on the XXX are somewhat consistent with the reactions of the people on the show. They don't seem to react as much to the #10 sauce as they do to the #8 Da Bomb, Beyond Insanity, which is supposedly 135,000 Scovilles.
Exactly. I know a guy that can handle all of The Last Dab sauces and decided to try a 1m scoville extract that got him good. He now knows the scoville rating on that show is BS and all hype. Just like how the Los Calientes Barbacoa is rated at 33,000 but is no hotter than Tabasco Chipotle that's 1,500-2,500shu.
i think the biggest thing to come out of that is that the XXX is 3 different versions of pepper x and not much else too it. that and the only testing they have is what Guinness says which is basically secret safe with them since its a glorified marketing scheme. He does not want the seed/pepper to get out bc he does not want anyone to test them. I can hardly consider Guinness as reputable for this title / test
My guess is that this is still a widely unstable pepper. Some plants yield flaming hot peppers, which is probably what was submitted for testing. Makes sense to me that the variation from plant to plant is possibly great, like Shishito peppers. Probably even more variation given the ultra hot levels this pepper seems to have. But even this does not explain 60,000 vs 2,690,000.
I have tried Da Bomb and also dried reapers and I can say without a doubt that Da Bomb is hotter than an equal weight of dried reaper. I have no idea where the 135,000 scoville rating came from but I suspect it's much hotter than that, probably closer to 1.35 million. The only other theory I could suggest is that Da Bomb contains pepper distillate and this makes it stronger in some way, perhaps by making it more available to your taste buds to sense.
Here’s my opinion, Ed is no dummy. He retired from Wall Street in finance. I think he built the hype by linking up with two big money companies. Guinness Book of World Records is a marketing company that’s I believe is pay to play and he found exposure and financial gain in Hot Ones. Just like in Wall Street. Money tested Ed’s peppers. Not laboratories. Keep seeking the truth Johnny and keep us informed along the way so I don’t waste another 30 bucks 😂💦
By now it should be pretty obvious to most chili heads that the vast majority of hot sauce company are straight up lying about SHU. They just make that shit up on the fly, putting high numbers just to sell their product. In my opinion this should be regulated, and anyone announcing a heat level using the scoville scale should have their product lab tested by at least two different labs, like you did here. By any chance, do you know if there is, somewhere on the web maybe, a compiled list of such test results for a wide range of sauces ? That would be pretty interesting and useful for sure.
Truth hurts sometimes. Good job standing up for the everyday people. Love your co-anchor trying to voice her opinion and chasing Tommy around, keeping an eye on him!
Catching up with this, late to the party. But honestly, anyone that questions Johnny’s honesty must have a screw loose. Johnny is the most honest, down to earth guy on TH-cam. He’s never had any agenda other than finding that burn, and bringing new people onto the chilli head bus. This is the only channel to come to if you want an honest and accurate review and rating for a spicy product.
Well done Johnny! I've agreed with you from day one on this! As you know I'm an Aussie living in NZ and I'm a chilli head and the amount of people that say on my video's " but pepper x is the hottest" I'm over it! Bunsters Black Lable is 99,000 shu so it's 40,000 more then that sauce! Cheers bro for keeping it real!
speaking the truth, for whatever reason, is unpopular with way too many people. I've watched you for years. I appreciate you for your honesty, bud. Integrity is a virtue that doesn't seem to be all too popular these days. You have it in spades. Cheers, brother.
@@ChaseTheHeat Yeah, I can see that especially with what you do. I'm a general foreman for a large construction company, so I deal with stupid, but not generally straight up vitriol. Which, considering all your trying to do is hand people the TRUTH. Free of charge. Some people don't have the fortitude to stomach being wrong, and even less to just accept facts when presented to them if it goes against what they ---WANT---- to believe. But there is a quote my father taught me long ago that I carry with me. "Speak the truth, even if your voice shakes"
Yup, I need to try your cth4. It's been sold out since I've learned of it. I'm sticking by what I said previously, Primo Army tastes hotter to me than any of the 🌶 x sauces.
You think anyone will want to take this to court for false advertising? I'm wondering how hot you can push a natural sauce in regards to shu. It'd be nice to know what the hottest natural sauce is without adding powders, tinctures, or concentrates of any kind. That's what I'm trying to find.
The hottest natural sauce I've had is Gator, but I've not tried nearly as many sauces as Johnny or others. Gator is also the tastiest natural super hot sauce I've had, but again, take it with a grain of salt.
Its interesting cause in 2017 that was the whole explanation of why they Made the sauce, they wanted to make the hottest natural sauce on the planet, which adds irony to the fact that Last Dab Xperience uses "pepper distillate" (Extract)
You are right! That is false advertisement by companies stating a heat unit and it’s not even close! I don’t need to spend money going to false advertisement!
Ed doesn’t trust anyone in the pepper community apparently. If I grew the world’s hottest pepper, I’d buy some first class tickets for the world’s most well known chili heads to come and try it out. Them saying it’s the hottest pepper in the world would be all the publicity I would need. He isn’t going to do that. He relies on “trust me bro” and the lab evidence generated from his longtime friend who lives just up the road from Puckerbutt. Conflicts of interest abound. Won’t be buying anything from him or anything he’s connected to.
I appreciate the honesty on display here, and it's unfortunate that you're gonna catch a ton of nonsense for that honesty. I don't understand why anyone would get angry about this, but they're gonna!
People hate if what they believe in comes crashing down. So naturally, some fans of Hot Ones naturally would go to many lengths to defend their believe in what they advertise. That’s how I see it. I mean if you get hate for saying the truth, what can you do about it? Not much. But should you. Please don’t. That being said: good Videos, both of them! Love your channel!
I have been watching your channel for years and I like to watch first we feast and other channels of folks eating hot sauce but… I’ve always come back to your channel for one main reason and that’s because you always speak your mind and there’s no BS. Not saying other channels do but your channel is just more attractive to me. So to me if you test a sauce, and I’d say you’re a sauce connoisseur, what better person to ask for an opinion on a sauce than you. Peace and GOD bless.
That’s a big range…. 20k in three bottles. If it was a very small company, I’d understand. But when you are producing at Ed’s level… you need more consistency.
One of the bottles was CTH-4 from my company. 51K the 2nd bottle was the predecessor to the current one that we are testing. We decided to test it just to see what it was 41K. The current one, The Last Dab Xperience was 60,300K.
Keep on telling the truth Johnny 👍 because the trhut hurts when is the real truth and is hurting the ones that still believe that the sauce is 2.4 million from a pepper that is mustard and the sauce is red 😅
Johnny, I hope you enjoy the vindication good old fashion science has given you. You deserve it! Haters gonna hate. You just keep on keep'n on brother! But seriously 😄, the funniest part about this entire video was the cat constantly following behind Tom wherever he went.
My daughter gave me a bottle of last dab for Christmas. Watched and purchased Double Doomed from Hellfire after the video you posted…. Crazy heat and great flavors…. Lit me up. Have since purchased 6 other Hellfire sauces and most pleased so far. Trying to space. Them out and use most of the sauces before opening the next one. Sad only got cool Swag decal ( super nice) didn’t include anything else on my purchase of 5 bottles. Bit bummed. Chase The Heat and keep up the great content !
You keep telling the truth Johnny and f*ck the liars. I understand people are attacking you for this. What BS... F*ck them too. People these days seem to have a low tolerance for truth. Not me, I am behind you, and I am sure your fans are too!!
I'm loving These vids and the testing from the UK, i would love you to do a top 10 leaderboard of the 10 current hottest chilli sauces but tested.... JOHNNY PLEASE thumb this up to have a leaderboard 2024 🎉
Wow, I’ve learned a ton about hot sauce and how much it’s diluted from this video. Not saying these sauces aren’t hot, but eating the pods 🤯. Appreciate your honesty and comparison with your own sauce, you’re not out to get anyone. Just keeping it factual 🤙🏻
I've had Da bomb 💣, and it's seriously hot . It tastes horrible, though. Good to see, I am not just imagining that these last dabs are weak. Well done for putting that work in johnny 👏.
Thanks man. I appreciate you having the sauce tested twice. I am a capsaicinist and I wanted to experience what a face-melting sauce (like that the xperience claimed to be) was like... and was disappointed in its heat level. If a maker and all of the marketing plays to the idea that a product is 2.6m SHU, it needs to be pretty damn close. It is the heat that you are selling... so sell the heat, or don't make false claims for the sake of cheating your customers out of their hard-earned money.
I fell for this as well. This sauce is one of my least hot sauces. $25, and it’s mediocre at best. Any Dave’s Insanity, Mad Dog, Blair’s, etc are WAY hotter. I bought the Gator one that was Pepper X like 3 years ago, and the Last Dab that was made with Pepper X like two years ago and neither were that hot. Then they launched this 91% one and I was like, Oh! They didn’t put that much Pepper X in! Now I get it. I guess I’ll buy this one now. I’m three Pepper X hot sauces in, falling for this “hottest hot sauce” marketing, and they are all BS! Thank you Johnny for outing this scam!! We all LOVE you!
Thanks for doing another test, Johnny! I’m shocked CTH-4 was lower than the new Last Dab. Didn’t expect it to be way hotter but it definitely lights me up more than The Last Dab Xperience. Speaking of… will the CTH sauces be in stock anytime soon? There really isn’t a good replacement for CTH-4.
I make hot sauces using some very hot peppers, and I find the heat goes way down after fermenting and sometimes cooking. Could the sauce have possibly decreased SHU by fermenting or cooking? Also, maybe the caps oils become soluble in the vinegars and acid in the sauce, decreasing the perceived hotness? I cook for a living and I know that acids are often used to balance oils and spicy things. I would very much love to know the reason behind all of this. Please keep going down this rabbit hole Johnny!!! From Braden in Niagara Falls.
Rather than add commentary I'll just share this video and let the truth stand on its own. I appreciate you getting the tests done and putting truth out there. We love ya bro. Michelle says "Hi"
I have a feeling the results of this video will be spicier than the Last Dabs themselves. And even though XXX has great flavor and is more piquant than the original, that result sounds about right. Interestingly, I recently swallowed a tablespoon of the Apollo sauce, and while I wouldn't put it much hotter than 60k, it did leave a lingering throat burn that felt piercing. Or perhaps it combined with two 1M sauces I had beforehand. Either way, not a bad sauce but not crazy hot.
What percentage of CTH4 is Scorpion and Reaper peppers ? I picked you because its your channel and your sauce. Scorpion and Reaper mash being ingredients 2 and 3 they should make up a fairly high percentage of the sauce I would think. Those peppers usually being in the million+ shu range you would think CTH4 would rate WAY hotter than it does in testing unless its a very small percentage of mash on the order of 10% or less. The ingredient list suggests the opposite is true. The same holds true for both last Dab sauces you had tested. I'm not trying to single a sauce out but I'm curious about the testing methods now which I know nothing about. Direct testing of a pepper versus a sauce gives markedly different results from what you would expect. All three sauces tested are made with super hots and one would expect all three to be a couple hundred thousand SHU minimum. Something is getting lost in the mix somewhere in my opinion. Does the capsaicin break down from the heat of cooking ? Do they dilute the sauce with a liquid to perform the test and not compensate for that ? I'm going hmmmmmmm because there seems to be a fairly large disconnect between the SHU of peppers and every sauce you tested made with those same peppers. Throw the 2 point whatever million out the window for X. Call all the pepppers a million SHU to make it simple, the results still don't add up. Curious to hear your thoughts.
Worth keeping in mind that peppers are tested dry. So pepper x is 2,6 million - dried. So a fresh one will be less, since they're 85-90% water. I imagine a fresh one would be around 300'000 heat units. So they're clearly diluting the sauce to get only 60'000 units.
The sauce was less than 3% as hot as they said it was, in a video. That video is still up. Even testing dry could not account for a sauce that is supposed to be 2.4 M SHU to only be 61K.
I like the Jaguar F-TYPE R75 COUPE. A bit expensive, but we don't live forever. As far as this sauce goes, it's either not 91% pepper X, or Pepper X isn't that hot. I'm guessing the latter since they won't release it. Zero chance 4.5 ounces of a 5 ounce bottle is pepper X at 2.7 million including distillate, and it be a 3 tops to me. My tolerance is down. This should be on the level of Dave's insanity sauce. It's not even close.
I thought about buying this hot sauce im very glad i didnt thanks so much for letting us know Johnny. This would have been dissapointing because i expect superhot hot sauce to be superhot, not mild.
It's 2.7% as hot as it is purported to be. They should refund 97.3% of the money people spent. That turns out to be about $27.25 per bottle. This makes the chili world look sleezy.
This is like when you chase pretty girls, only to realize they have no personality. Advertising, image, and what it looks like, doesn’t lead to fulfilment. A good appearance is important, but not without Substance. Substance is the most important thing. Thanks for your honnesty Johnny! I'm looking forward to my own journey of sauce discovery, and I’ll know who to trust on my way. Much love!
Can the other ingredients in the sauce decrease the scoville rating? Johnny you should make a sauce of 91% reaper and get it tested to see if it tests for 91% of 1.6 mil
Other ingredients will definitely decrease the heat, in this case by 9% since that’s how much it’s diluted according to the label. Water and other ingredients are all part of that 9%. If they add anything else, even a little more water beyond the 9% total other ingredients, they legally can’t call it 91% peppers. My opinion is they made up the 91% number on the spot and it was never actually measured. My only critique would be to have the sauce tested as a dehydrated sample. Thats the only way to get numbers people recognize. It would still test low though. (I estimate around 850,000 SHU,) regardless it’s still significantly lower than advertised.
Speaking of fire hose, when I got up this morning I had forgotten that I chugged a bunch of last dab XXX sauce and did 15 drops of my homemade Reaper extract last night, and boy did I get a painful reminder when I took my first trip to the bathroom this morning LOL
That’s the thing that always got me. I’ve watched the hot ones. They’ve got celebrities on there who state over and over again that they don’t typically enjoy hot sauce. And yet they get to that last dab and are not really hurting as bad as they would be if it actually were 2 million plus SHU. 😂
My favorite sauce from Ed was always Gator and it used pepper x and I definitely think it was hotter than the last dab. That being said, I have definitely had hotter sauces than either of those. I figure as much it's mostly a gimmick nowadays. Still love his sauces even if they're not as hot. But I'll get my super hots elsewhere lol. I think yours are pretty good
Now that the results are out, will the label or sauce be amended? I guess we'll find out. Thanks for sharing it with us. The t-shirts are hilarious. 😂 I will get one. How about a fire lily one or ring of fire? 💜
Its not just that its marketing bs, its that someone might actually think that 61000 shu is actually 2.4 million and therefore not buy any other hot sauce because they think they'll not experience that heat level from any other product. There are novices out there that could fall in to that trap. I got disappointed recently by a sauce that i thought might top Daves Insanity but fell short. Anyway, i know where to get some 6.1 million shu tinc I'm going to have to try ❤
Absolutely, I'm a complete novice (as in I rarely order anything hotter than a Madras), but I was tempted to buy it, as it is supposedly so hot, 2.4mshu. Which I thought would be worthy as a challenge for me and some mates when we're drunk or on the rare occasion we all see each other and never have to buy another sauce to even come close to that heat (at least not until one hotter came out). But I'm glad I watch Johnny and have done for a few years and I'm glad I waited till these tests came back. I'd have still possibly bought it if the sauce was anywhere above 1mshu, but 60k, that's a complete let down.
It's a shame I didn't see this video earlier, would have saved me some confusion and disappointment. I'm at least glad I got to try a Pepper X sauce but yeah, expecting much much more heat. Leaves me without a "hot" sauce for this buying cycle. My "low" was Wicked Tickle Bhut Kisser and my "medium" was Elijah's Xtreme Regret Reserve if that helps put things in perspective.
First 45 seconds were deep… never thought of it like that. Howdy all new comers!! You won’t be disappointed! Turn on the bell so you don’t miss a video
I bought wicked 🔥 hot sauces because the bottle looks cool and it's ridiculously hot even though I was curious as to how hot but am too nervous to try. I now have 5 unopened bottles of food grade windowsill decoration. 🤷♂️
"I don't have a dog in the fight" - look at my lab results compared to my sold out hot sauce #4. As much as this content is informative and I believe true. You can't say you don't have a "dog in the fight".
I dig truth. I have a problem with deception within my industry, insofar as that is concerned, I guess I have a dog in the fight. On our sauces, we make NO claims of how hot they will be, with respect to SHU or POP. It was merely used to show a comparison and honesty in advertising vs. dishonesty.
I can eat the hottest sauces and extracts but super hot peppers wreck me lol.
Death nut 2.0 , was a whole different ball game , glad I did it though 😂. Johnny's never done me wrong .

It means it’s a sham I’m glad the truth is out about it I was disappointed with it
I've been waiting for the results of this second test. Pretty consistent with the first test, can't say I'm surprised. Thanks for posting it Johnny, keep turning up the heat brother!
This video is all about the backing evidence 👍 👍 👍 including the fact that Squirrel does indeed follow Tommy everywhere he goes 😁
----edit
I wanted to say "so doomed is probably more in the 800K-1.2M range.
@@JT-xu1qd wow u took time to write some lies
@@JT-xu1qdI have an explanation. The 2.79 million 😂is the dried ingredients tested. The actual sauce is around 650,000 heat units give or take.
I was recently in a hot sauce store where I heard multiple customers ask “what’s the hottest sauce you have?” to which the employee answered “the last dab experience.”
This store also carries Dave’s Insanity, Da Bomb Beyond Insanity, and many other products which are made from extremely high concentrations of superhots, some of which also contain extracts or other high potency capsaicin containing products. I’m in Canada, and the last dab experience is currently priced at $38CAD, when other (hotter) sauces are priced at $20-$25CAD at most.
da bomb is way hotter then last dab
tastes like total dogshit though unfortunatly. nastiest sauce ive ever had but boy it realy is a scorcher@@weartoasty
@@richyoung4051 there are countless sauces that are in the ballpark of da bomb now. Many of which have amazing flavour, and are without a fraction of a doubt WAY hotter than the last dab.
@@richyoung4051 totally agree. Disgusting taste, but PAINFULLY HOT
Man thank you Johnny for bringing honesty. Love your channel been watching for years!
Those numbers on the XXX are somewhat consistent with the reactions of the people on the show. They don't seem to react as much to the #10 sauce as they do to the #8 Da Bomb, Beyond Insanity, which is supposedly 135,000 Scovilles.
Ever notice they never have reacted bad after Da Bomb?
Ed Curry is also an addict, aka liar
By now it should be pretty obvious to most chili heads that the vast majority of hot sauce company are straight up lying about SHU. They just make that shit up on the fly, putting high numbers just to sell their product. In my opinion this should be regulated, and anyone announcing a heat level using the scoville scale should have their product lab tested by at least two different labs, like you did here. By any chance, do you know if there is, somewhere on the web maybe, a compiled list of such test results for a wide range of sauces ? That would be pretty interesting and useful for sure.
So they committed false advertisement.
I think it's criminal
Truth hurts sometimes. Good job standing up for the everyday people. Love your co-anchor trying to voice her opinion and chasing Tommy around, keeping an eye on him!
Thanks so much for doing what you do, Johnny!!! ❤️

🤔
The hottest natural sauce I've had is Gator, but I've not tried nearly as many sauces as Johnny or others.
Gator is also the tastiest natural super hot sauce I've had, but again, take it with a grain of salt.
Its interesting cause in 2017 that was the whole explanation of why they Made the sauce, they wanted to make the hottest natural sauce on the planet, which adds irony to the fact that Last Dab Xperience uses "pepper distillate" (Extract)
Gator is not even as hot as swapadelic I promise you that

Well, you couldn't possibly be more fair than that. ❤
It’s not that Ed doesn’t trust anybody, it’s that Ed is lying!

That’s a big range…. 20k in three bottles. If it was a very small company, I’d understand. But when you are producing at Ed’s level… you need more consistency.
It is 2.7% as hot as it is supposed to be. Or, 97.3% weaker than it should be. Either one sounds bad
One of the bottles was CTH-4 from my company. 51K
the 2nd bottle was the predecessor to the current one that we are testing.

Love your channel!! Chase the heat brother!!
Just a dud of sauce sadly. I will not be trying it for the price and the heat. The price is basically because you're buying the advertising.
So the sauce I buy in my store is about the same heat, it's marketed around 75K SHU (the strongest I can buy locally)
I actually made a similar comparison in a comment weeks ago. Honestly, it is the best way to compare this situation to another.
I have been following this guy for a long time and I believe his opinion on spicy.
"This pepper is a travesty. It's a travesty of a mockery of a sham of a mockery of two mockeries of a sham"
I would have loved to see Troy's Swamp and Army sauces tested as well!

Preach Johnny-all FACTS🔥🔥🔥🌶️🌶️🌶️🔥🔥🔥
I make hot sauces using some very hot peppers, and I find the heat goes way down after fermenting and sometimes cooking. Could the sauce have possibly decreased SHU by fermenting or cooking? Also, maybe the caps oils become soluble in the vinegars and acid in the sauce, decreasing the perceived hotness? I cook for a living and I know that acids are often used to balance oils and spicy things. I would very much love to know the reason behind all of this. Please keep going down this rabbit hole Johnny!!! From Braden in Niagara Falls.
Now send in Da Bomb: Beyond Insanity and Da Bomb: Ground Zero because those have to be WAY HOTTER than what is advertised.
Rather than add commentary I'll just share this video and let the truth stand on its own. I appreciate you getting the tests done and putting truth out there. We love ya bro. Michelle says "Hi"
My 8 year old spreads this sauce over his cheese on toast to cut the oily/creaminess of the cheese haha. Seriously.
Compared to these, what would you rank the primo army sauce? I dont really got a scoville rating and I want to know for comparison
My mind is blown and I’m speechless. How can it be off by over 2 million. Wow!
Thanks 🙏.
I got that sauce expecting 2.6 million and I got 60k I was kind of sad but it's still a decent sauce if you can afford the price.
It's 2.7% as hot as it is purported to be. They should refund 97.3% of the money people spent. That turns out to be about $27.25 per bottle. This makes the chili world look sleezy.
@@ChaseTheHeat I've had bottles of hot sauce that costed me 10 bucks from small batch makers that were 3x as hot

One possibility I conjured up myself is that they only use the bottom tips of the peppers 🤣
Mad Dog 357 is the hottest I’ve had yet

I used to use 1.5M Nuke hot sauce and it was tolerable. But to eat a raw pepper with seeds is a whole different experience and a lot more heat.
I love your vids you sent me on my extreme spice journey I started a channel and my first vid was the deathnut 3.0
What was the sauce that recently disappointed you compared to Dave's Insanity?
