Chat GPT gives a very detailed plan. I gave it my location and grass type, then asked it to give me a lawn care plan this year. The plan it gives me is quite in depth. If you need it to go more in depth just ask it. Edit: I just used the same prompt in Bing chat that I did with Chat GPT. It gave a very vague plan and actually included some incorrect information.
might be that humans learn from mistakes, so they know why they do things in certain ways because we are aware of undesired outcomes; but IA could dismiss any incorrect info as false and unneeded, programmed not to use that - so never being truly aware of why something works, cause not 'caring' what non-working is .... like when a person learns to walk, they stick a foot forward and fall backwards that first time, and again, staggering around a bit as they find ways to stop a complete fall in motion; then by chance lean forward falling initially a bit in the direction they want to go(now using that falling info) but then catch themselves with a step not wanting to fall all they way down again - until they trust themselves that they can move the way they want to go by making the 'mistake' to *risk* falling slightly in the right direction and knowing they can catch themselves with a step that way(Laurie Anderson "Walking & Falling" if you remember that one, haha that was some 'risky' music, but someone had to do it, to "fall forward slightly...") where a robot first is directed to balance somehow at a standstill, and keep that balance as it moves; not taught that it is okay to fall a bit, and then catch itself - only that mistakes are wrong and to be avoided(at all costs?), however thus more mistakes are made(and disregarded) with only the slightest ability to generally commit to anything and not really "knowing" why; 'concerned' just with making the safest choice, even if less capable with lawns, someone(and I have) could follow the AI's "step 1" and get some random grass seed to toss out, but it not grow even tho we did the other steps - so should we disregard all the information as flawed? or learn that that type of grass seed didn't work in our personal conditions, and make sure to try a different type?(I did, till I found a seed that worked) .... today with so much info out there, people might expect that they could be told what is right(and that should be the first answer page one on Google, or repeated on their news feed, with just some AI is able to sort it out for them, or the TH-cam guy in Norway said it works great) without ever having to 'test it out' and see if it actually works in their own reality; but really there just never is one right answer that we all can be sure of, unless we have exhausted all other seemingly 'good answers' as false to find the last remaining that works here and now(as I bet there are other grass seeds out there I still haven't tried, and some could be even better) but *AI isn't going to take those chances for you* , in fact I bet it's whole goal is to eliminate risks ...I think some people error in this same way, by only limiting themselves as much as possible in order to feel more sure of themselves and their answers - but as the saying goes: _we are still figuring out how to make bad lightbulbs, and not ruin the whole bunch_
I believe with AI you can continue to ask questions and include more information. The more inputs the better your output. So not only can you continue to ask the AI more questions but you can also give it more info. For example if I asked, can you give me a lawn plan for Denver. The AI will know it's a cool season grass and provide better details.
Bing had follow up buttons at the bottom of the screen. And yes you could go a bit further. I think that as more people use the system and more inputs are selected, they will end up being a much more definitive and instructional output the first time someone asks.
My backyard grass is already kicking azz in Denver. It's newer seed, I planted it about 3 years ago. My front lawn is still dormant, it's old-school genetics. I already laid down RGS and Humic 12. It was 17 degrees this morning, but it is supposed to be 67 Thursday. I'm taking my kids to Loveland for some pow pow tomorrow. Best of both seasons right now. JP would be proud of how far GCF has pushed my game. All my neighbors want to know how I do it. I tell many of them what to do and they think I'm crazy. haha
The thing you are missing about this is when you ask it a generic question you get a generic answer. If you were to go in and ask it to explain each of those topics in more detail it will do it. It answered just as you answer a generic question but as a human you ask follow up questions in this case it is on the askee to ask additional questions. Its a matter of understanding how to use the tool you are using. This tool is not in your expertise so it is understandable that you do not know how to use it to its full potential.
@@Lawncology It doesn't lack detail it has all the information that is on the internet. Like i stated previously above it is a tool and you have to know how to use it to get the best results. Most do not understand this. I for one know to use it fairly well and have gotten far more detailed results. You really need to have a conversation with it and not expect a full detailed answer from one generic question. Think of it like this. If someone just off the streets asked you to answer that question you have no idea anything about them and you are not allowed to ask additional questions you would answer in this exact same way. While i love your video's you missed it on this one as it is out of your area of expertise. You are trying to show how to use a tool that you clearly do not understand how to use.
Not sure JP but I grew up on a farm and I’m in my mid 50’s so when I think of AI, I think of artificial insemination that we did with cattle? When it comes to grass like crops it’s putting in the work and some years the work is different from one year to the other?! I’m pretty sure that was your point in this video, but you’ve once again proven that you can never take the human common sense element out of growing grass!!
Yes, you pretty much nailed it. Common sense has become on common sense. If people are using AI bots to write papers and emails and do advertising and descriptions and things, it’s only going to become second nature, but it’s used for things like learning how to make your grass more beautiful. Hopefully, we will see the rise of common sense again!
I'm an awesome AI artist. I have 1.4M views of my images a month on Pinterest. AI is going to ROCK the world. Old-school architects (I call them talk-a-tects) are crapping their pants right now. haha
It seems like you have to be very specific with Bard to get better answers, and it tries to be as Switzerland as possible with it's answers.
I noticed that with bing too
I just planted new st aug sod should i put down rgs or milo? I have all the next products or should i just water it
If it’s new, wait about 4 weeks to fertilize. Hit it with 6 ounces per thousand on RGS and get the roots going!
@@Lawncology i planted 2 days ago still hit it with rgs?
@@bradygaming5034 it will only help it tack down faster.

Yes sir, I do it all soup to nuts
This is a great video!!! AI will need massive amount of data to bring you the correct advise..
It won’t take long
Although I embrace ai and technology there’s lots of good books written with lots of detailed and dumbed down step by step lawncare plans.
Lots and lots
Injection system’s 🧐. Can’t wait to see that puppy in action
So many options
