haha i just saw the 7 segment display a day ago, love it also, i love crossbeam, i always wanted to build one, not because i need it but because its cool and different, just like that printer that fits in a filament box.
Incredibly cool machine I've got into cross gantry machines a while ago and I'm still perplexed by the fact that not many high end machines are cross gantry, which seems to be a superior mechanism to even coreXY. Is this machine your design? I could not find anything about it elsewhere
@@ValeriOS_3d_printing That would have been my next question :D in everyone's name: thanks in advance By the way those belts look beefy, are they 12/15mm belts?
No, I don’t think so. I prefer rails on top of the aluminium extrusions, not on the side. In this way the weight is distributed across both the two lines of ball bearings inside the slider instead of only one (with rails on the side of the extrusion)

Ultimaker 6 should use linear rails like this. ❤
Do you plan going 8 motors for half belt free lenght?
Incredibly cool machine

Yes it’s my own design. I’m going to publish the cad when I feel satisfied with it

@@krobzzzz they are 9mm gates clones, but they work great
Where is that cooling fan duct from?? That's fantastic!
It’s from hevort 3d printer.
You can print it or buy the nylon sls printed version on AliExpress, it’s called Tentacool
would it be better if the rails were stood up like a knife edge rather than sitting flat? the rails would be much stiffer and more rigid on that axis

Also there are much higher forces laterally than vertically due to acceleration while printing.
Weight of toolhead is something but that thing can increase its g force when it move in x and y axis so this config is more stable
What is your print volume? The machine looks pretty compact for a cross gantry.
250x250x200
Waiting your design .

Adding 4 motors would require a complete redesign of the gantry and I don’t think it is worth
@@ValeriOS_3d_printing i understand, btw i check on your channel daily 😊
@@lorenzobruschetta9919 thanks, I try to upload as much as I can but I’m quite busy with my degree 😅
