- We had so much fun with this last week, I put it back up for debate again. This time with MAFEX. Which five figures would you recommend a collector get in order to spark their interest in MAFEX's line?
Also, discussing the first glimpse of the GI Joe Classified Series Raptor figure, the latest DC Multiverse pre-orders from McFarlane Toys, the Mezco One: 12 Captain America and more.

Got a couple McFarlane figures, not a fan (scale wise) ...so, I get Mafex for my DC characters. Batman (Hush) Catwoman, Nightwing, Huntress etc. All look great!
Totally get it. The MAFEX are basically my definitive takes on the various DC characters in my collection.
I wasn’t able to comment during the livestream but Shadowcat does not need to be a POV character - she certainly grew into a confident, competent & admirable adult female hero well by the time she returned to the X-Men post Excalibur run. I feel like she is already there by the time we meet Jubilee in the comics so there is no reason for them both to have to be the baby of the team. Kitty is my favorite character, she grew into so much more than a POV character & she is my first choice as team lead after Cyclops & Storm. I desperately want Mafex to give us their take on Kitty Pryde/Shadowcat with hyper articulation & beautiful head/hair sculpts. My top 5 Mafex are Hush Batman Blue, Hush Superman, Magneto, Storm & Psylocke.
I liked ninja blue Shadowcat the most so I wouldn't be upset with her just being a team member at all.
Good choices on MAFEX. Definitely sounds like I need to check out Magneto!
Kitty’s Excalibur costume is the best for her too, I agree. Aside from Marc Silvestri (who by the way I think draws Psylocke better than Jim Lee), we need more action figure representations of the work of Alan Davis, Walt Simonson & the aforementioned Paul Smith.
Ugh! Can't believe I missed the livestream! Crazy day! For me, no figures could entice me to Mafex. They're expensive and far too delicate for my tastes. I got their Thor release and it looks perfect (vintage comic accurate) and has lots of accessories, but my god is he delicate! Hand pop off easily, the center pin shows in his torso when you lean him backwards, and he's a tad too small. I'm very seriously considering selling him off. The only other Mafex I have is Spiderman from a few years back and he's likewise far more delicate than the Hasbro figures. For all their faults, I'll stick with Hasbro for now. I DO like the Neca Defenders of the Earth figures. Lots of accessories and nice sculpts, very sturdy. I am really hoping they release the Shadow and Green Hornet (and Kato) though!
NECA doing those figures would be very sweet!
@@LylesFigureFiles I keep writing them begging, so hopefully they release those figures, if only to shut me up! LOL!
