    This game doesn't get the credit it deserves for its graphics. The ice level in the caves with the dripping waterfalls looks amazing, go into the darker areas and see the great lighting effects on the Vectorman sprite. Also the later level with the lightning in the backgrounds, really impressive. Vectorman is a great game all round and better than it's rushed sequel.

    Always loved the Treasure style "this character is a bunch of balls or cubes" style graphics in this game.

    Not sure if it's true, but I heared each ball was it's own sprite, if it's true then it's extremely impresive

    i was a big fan of vectorman in the 90's !
    in the early 2000's i believe i heard rumors of a 3D new version around the PS2 era but might have just been an internet rumor

    This was definitely the most exciting time in gaming, from Vectorman and Donkey Kong Country pushing the limits of the Sega Genesis and Super NES, to all of the innovation from evolving emerging consoles. There will never be another time like it.

    I’m such a huge fan of Vectorman. I just have to much fixation with the main character in almost every aspect. I really love his overall look & how he stands out to me.

    I got this game for Christmas in 95. While I was able to defeat it in under a week, it had enough hidden secrets to keep me exploring for several play throughs after.

    vectorman (and vectorman 2) are both great games, but i would argue that the donkey kong country series (including just the first game) were massively more impressive and did far more to push that graphical style and the future of graphics than vectorman did. vectorman was definitely sega attempting to play catch-up with nintendo and rare, and while i love the game, it absolutely can't even hold a candle to donkey kong country. the latter is just way more impressive, deep, and does a lot more with that 3d computer modeled art style. calling vectorman "ahead of its time" is just flat-out wrong. the super nintendo had done far more with this graphical rendering style in the DKC games, and far more with this gameplay style in super metroid. both came out well before vectorman did.

    Hacer los personajes con sprites redondos hacia que tuvieran poca personalidad. Una versión para 32x con personajes con un rediseño hubiese quedado muy bien

      He didn't say it was the first of its kind, just that it was a revolutionary technique. The games that used it -did- stand out among their pixel art peers. I prefer the pixel stuff myslf, but Vectorman was pretty fun

  • @vio2112
    @vio2112 20 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    The game is pretty good, but you're really overhyping it. It was essentially just Sega copying Rare and Nintendo's pioneering of pre-rendered 3D graphics. Donkey Kong Country is far superior to Vectorman. Vectorman is cold, gloomy and overly difficult. You're constantly fighting the timer and when you run out of lives, that's a wrap. No continues. As much as I like Sega, they really were always a couple steps behind Nintendo. Simply not on the same level. Looking back now it really is no surprise that their stint as a hardware company came to an abrupt end. Also, why did you show the N64 when talking about the SNES? 🙄
