Bought mine on release day. Just received mine. Installing today!! I see in the comments the commander is the same install as the buttons commander but they should say that and even link the commander install video to this one so people don’t get confused.
I just installed mine. It is cool to have and how it looks. I hope there are more functions added later. The screen and location of the KNOB make it easy for something to fall onto the screen. I just use one of my Android round smartwatch screen protectors on it. Fits perfectly.

You can use those 2 features as well straight form the S3XY app. Yes, we will work on the current dashboard and make new styles as well in the future :)

I would love to see someone create a replacement slide-in lid cover that is a touchscreen, as apposed to these snap-in panels. I did order one however, as it’s the nicest so far. If it cannot replace the slide-in cover, then maybe something that hinges up for access under.
I received the Sexy Knob!! Very superior quality and sturdy. However, it does not support all functions like the buttons? For example, tilt the mirror, turn on rear heated seats, etc. Available on button but not the knob, why?

Great question. At the moment, there are no benefits except aesthetics. However, the front installation gives us more control over certain features , which we will be slowly rolling out in 2024 😊
I just received mine and installed it today! Question the climate controls don’t seem to sync with the Tesla display at all. Is there a way to fix this?
The video you linked for the installation only shows the s3xy buttons install. The wire harnesses you show are not used, they look like pass throughs. Anyway is this is a stand alone control or are the s3xy buttons needed? I like the controller idea as a stand alone but if the buttons are needed not so much.

Is it possible to make any of these smart actions tilting the side mirrors a configurable amount when going into the reverse gear. The original Tesla tilting of side mirrors are tilting way to much, so it would be cool with a macro / smart action where you could specify how many degrees it should tilt mirrors, and of course bring them back to original position when going forward again
How will it be for the Highland? Do you have a video? As they removed one USB, and as apparently the second port does not work well on the knob, does it mean that we won't have any front USB available after the install? Thanks
Ive just ordered one, i have a uk 2024 model y performance. But after ordering i have now read there is no rear obd port anymore in shanghai made vehicles. Is this true? Im hoping ill still be anle to install it, otherwise i will probably have to return it. I dont currently have a pry tool to check myself

Looking at used Teslas right now and I'm hoping you guys make one for old Model 3's. There's a good chance I'm going to pick up a 2019 because it has FSD and it's in great shape but I'll be pretty bummed if you don't end up making a version for it. (Maybe I'll make due with S3XY Buttons.) I saw you might next year if interest is high enough so I'm leaving this comment for you as my two cents. If I get a newer Model 3 you bet I'm getting this.
Currently the slide door will leave the light on if the door doesn't close all the way in. Since the knob is in place therefore the slide door doesn't close all the way in. Does it mean the light is on all the time?

For now, you can assign a button to enter the gear shifting many, and by rotating the knob you will change from P to D to R. Later you will be able to customize it the way you like using it 😊
Wait, wasn't the production and shipping halted to *fix* the second USB issue? This sounds like it was never fixed, just patched up via software to prevent damage?
If we had to fix it, we would need new motherboards , which usually take 3 months to make. So we had to “patch it” so you can still use it, but not for fast charging.
I'd been using the buttons for two years and my Knob will be delivered tomorrow 😄 It's been so long that I forgot if I should turn off the car before replacing the Commander or I can leave the car on? Your video doesn't mention it and googling doesn't give me an absolute answer. Cheers
We are happy having you as a part of our family! Please install the Commander and its firmware version first, then install the Commander. No need to power off the car

Great questions. There energy consumption is close to nothing. For most people that drive 1-2 hours per day, the consumption will be insignificant. We tried keeping it on powered inside the car overnight, but we lost the same % that we will looks if it was without it. About the warranty, Tesla is not giving issues to people that use this type of third party accessories. Thousands of people have been to the Tesla service Center with our S3XY buttons , and non of them had issues. But we still recommend removing the Commander before going there, since you never know in what mood the person across will be that day 😊

Please add a mute or remove chime if the commander is reengaging AP. The chime wakes up my baby and annoys the wife.

Great question. For the highland, we will use the 12v socket at the front. So you will have your usb port free to use 😊

The Knob comes with gen2 Commander. So you will have to switch yours and use your buttons and Knob with the new one

Yes. However, when your car falls asleep. So it might take a few minutes.
