I’ve been cutting two years on the side. I’ve learned a lot by cutting my own hair and friends. I now make $25 a cut and want to leave my federal job to go to school soon 🤞
I've been wanting to go to barber school for over ten years now and with covid right now i lost my previous profession of seven years so I'm seeing the opportunity to transition into barbering as a blessing in disguise. Anyway i visited a barbershop in my area and got to know four super cool barbers that all went to the same school and they all said the same thing you said to be careful who we befriend at school because some students skip school or they'll waste their time in the break room a lot of young students don't really take it seriously especially if their parents are paying or it's costing them very little out of pocket. I just started barber school but it was mostly reading books and practicing on mannequins so I was a little bummed but this video showed me I need to be patient
I like the video very informative lot of stuff I wanted to know…May I ask when finished with the schooling part how do you get ur license like what testing is there? Also I can imagine there is a few things you have to accomplish like number of things you have to do before u can graduate what are those things? An official d primary things your are taught as well ? Like is it just cuts or like us there color or modules you can talk bout? Please let me know if you can I would greatly appreciate it!!!
At 8:11 maybe they weren’t being negative but maybe they were just gun shy about cutting a real persons hair knowing they don’t really know how to cut that well yet. I might be a little hesitant too in that situation but not because of negativity but I don’t want to mess up some body’s head
At my school I’ve been there for 3months and i still don’t know how to cut 90 percent of the time I’m just sitting down 10% of the time we’re doing something

I have to pay a 50$ deposit on the first
Day and the school cost $18,850. I have government assistance Aswell so it helped so much, do your research

Practice and study while your sitting doing nothing
Just do it! You can't learn by sitting there. You have to cut hair to learn.
