What I hate about these updates is that they make my use of PC so sluggish that I literally have to stop what I am doing and let that bastard update what it wants. I cannot keep working otherwise. Whether I have a meeting scheduled or not, I have to give in or risk being behind.
The Windows 10 new updates slow my computer. I remember when Microsoft did something like this with Windows 7 close to its end of support as well. I guess its Microsoft's way of pushing its users to the latest and not so greatest Windows 11.

Hiding the update only works until the next version is released. Then it installs the latest version. I don't get any popups, so I just leave it.

yes the firewall is good for that.
