I mean a little but they are trying to bring in new players for their big year 2. If they can sell their old game for $1 and get at least 10% of those people to buy Motorfest than it's a win.

Triple A vs indie congratulations on beating 90 Devs when you have over 300 Devs with way more money and I wouldn’t play the crew 2 even if it was free such a trash game that had great potential the crew Motorfest clears it easy

I tried to install it, all I got was errors when trying to run it. Exactly the same errors when I tried to play AC - black flag. Tried everything to fix it, no good. Refunded. I'm thinking it's ubisoft connect issue. Refunded - goodbye ubisoft.

You do need to put things in perspective. The Crew 2 was on Steam since release, The Crew Motorfest was NOT. TCM only came to Steam on April 2024, that's like 9 months after release, so those stats don't mean much. Most people on PC have the game on Ubisoft or Epic (where it was available from start) // Example : July 2024 : That month, about 125k people played the Summit (going by Summit leaderboard, all platforms combined), about 285k players did something in the game that month (Main Stage leaderboard, all platforms combined). So yeah, not sure why you looking at Steam numbers, as said, they don't mean much.
I am not sure if Steam counts players that logged in via Ubisoft.. I mean there is a way to connect Steam and Ubisoft, maybe then it recognises those players, but I haven't done this because I don't need it.
Also I'm sure most of the current player base are those who preordered the game and those who bought the game on launch from the Ubisoft website and Ubisoft app. Steam's player base is only valuable for the players playing via the Steam client app

for me personally im not keen on always being on an up to date pc. i mainly play assetto corsa and emulation. i havent found a game to warrant buying a ps5 for me. hence why i still hop on crew 2 from time to time. im sure there are other people in the same boat as me. motorfest looks fun but its not a £300 pound game for me. unbound is the same and gt7 looks and plays great on ps4.
About Crew Motorfest. Most players players own it on Ubisoft connect so even if you add it to steam its treated has a non steam product so it doesnt count to that stats.... Those are the players that bought the game through Steam
since TCM launched, I've logged on once a week to TC2 and hit plat in the summit every week. Last few weeks I've had to actually try and go and get better times to ensure I get plat. TC2 has blown up, even on xbox

I love the huge map but i hate the way car drive, feels floaty. I still enjoy driving in the middle of nowhere at night in this game.
