Diamond Truck Performance I just done my same truck yesterday I went 4-5 clicks and I started truck up was idling fine until I hit pedal! And it went to 1,600 rpm’s so I turned down one click and it’s at 1k rpm’s so I’m hoping one more click off will fix it but will be at around 2 clicks 😬 did you have to adjust idle 10mm nut any??
Ok yea I turned down 1 click and git it to 1k but don’t want to touch idle screw yet because it idles great when you first start it cold then after running it goes to about 1100 rpm’s so I figured one more click back
@@diamondtruckperformance493 thanks for the input. I was wondering about that. I’ve had people tell me not to run the stock valve springs more than 3,500 rpm to avoid valves smacking a piston.
Yeah there is a possibility of valve float, I’ve wanted to put new valve springs but wanted to wait to do head studs, but we had the 4ks installed in several trucks with stock valve springs but I guess we have been lucky
If anyone hasn't did spring upgrades you will love the upgrade easy to do also
Helpful video thank you.
Thanks for the video, very informative.
Has to be the best video iv seen for doing this as to doing so with the AFC still on the truck great job
I was upgrading governor spring and i strip the cap to access them do you know where i could find a new one?
No idea honestly

Yes I had to do a little adjustment on the idle screw and it’s been fine
12:26 I explain that I had to go down 2 clicks on mine so it’s on three clicks as of finished product.

I would try one more click and just make sure it doesn’t cause clearance issues
I have the same 1/2” ratchet. Haven’t been able to kill it whatsoever
so did The stock valve train live at 4K?
Yes the truck is still going haven’t change anything except I advanced the timing

@@diamondtruckperformance493 I havent advanced the timing yet on mine.. How do you do that and how much?
@@diamondtruckperformance493 where did you advance it to? I've heard 16 to 18 degrees
Yep that looks a lot like Bonham, Tx
It is NOT 4K it's 1080p only disappointed...
Bruh the springs are 4k not the video
