      @@juanfxblender Hey! Currently, GeoTracker for Blender is available as a beta. With this add-on, you can also track head movements. However, it doesn't support tracking of facial expressions or emotions. For these specific purposes, there's a separate plugin called FaceTracker, which is currently only available for Nuke.

    Also one thing you can do so the colors match better is go to Output Preferences > Output > Color Management and then select override and then set the view value to Standard instead of Filmic. It will make your colors more accurate and true to what they should look like.

    This looks very interesting. Why do all the tracking tutorials show such easy shots though? In my years as a matchmover, I don't think I have ever gotten a shot that clean haha. Something like that realistically would just be autotracked. It will be interesting to see how well this holds up under more challenging shots and if it is actually better then blender's stock tracking. I could potentially see this falling apart under extreme motion blur or occlusion. Going to have to give it a go and find out. Very nice to see blender tracking getting some love and attention regardless.

    I'm very interested in Geo tracker for blender and After Effects but I'm also pondering getting synth eyes. Cost wise it's an interesting comparison for roughly 2 years of Geo tracker annual subscription I could buy Syntheyes outright. Synth eyes seems to have a deeper richer feature set but GeoTracker works directly within AE and Blender. My question is how would this kind of camera tracking in Geo traker hold up in a production environment with more troublesome shots. Could GeoTracker be relied on as a camera tracker for all situations or would there be times its geometry based approach would fail where Syntheyes could potentially get the shot. I have to say the subscription model for GeoTracker is off putting. The ability to buy outright would make it more attractive in this comparison for me.

    Hi, we love what you guys doing here! We also have concern and question about some footage coming from GOPRO 11 shoot on top of FPV drone where we got issue to track the camera because of it wild angle view distorted + some blur because of the setting + ReelSteady already apply when we receive the footage, so we was looking if you have any documentation or reference tutorial for this type of camera please ?

    • @keentools
      @keentools  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! Our tracking system is optimized for undistorted (linearized) footage. When there's significant distortion, especially with post-stabilization tools like ReelSteady, it can impact the accuracy. For the wide-angle distortion, there are third-party software solutions that might help. Not sure about the exact software for your case, but it's definitely something worth exploring.

    How to define that the statue. shadow may a cause a problem ?

    • @keentools
      @keentools  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey! In our tracking process, we're matching geometry with the image. Since our geometry is a flat surface without any tree or statue, elements like these can cause issues because they move differently (parallax). So, we mask parts covered by trees (and a statue) to ensure smooth tracking.
      Similarly, if you were to track, say, a microphone in someone's hand like in our demo video, it would be advisable to mask out the microphone's handle where it's held. This is because the model doesn't contain geometry of a clenched fist, and thus the parallax could compromise the tracking accuracy.

      Hey! Apologies for the late response. If you're looking to track an actor with tracking marks on a green screen, it's essential to know that GeoTracker is not the best tool for deformable objects like a full actor. GeoTracker is suited for rigid geometries.

    • @keentools
      @keentools  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey! Please make sure that the analysis range for the start and end frames contains images in the footage. You can check this by scrolling through the footage in pin mode from the start frame right up to the end frame. It's possible that the frame range for analysis is more extensive, either at the beginning or the end. If everything looks okay, then you should re-analyse. In short, this error means that there are no calculated frames from the analysis file in the selected tracking range, suggesting some frames might be missing.

    I'm playing around with the new beta, and my results for camera tracking this way aren't super smooth. Do you have any tips to get a more accurate solve? Can we track multiple stationary objects at once?

    • @keentools
      @keentools  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You'll need to create a new GeoTracker for each separate object. The smoothness of the track depends on many things. Most important are accuracy of 3D model (right proportions), right focal length (you can use estimate focal length option), the shot being not too shaky or blurry. You can also try the Smoothing options in the Smoothing tab: check which axis is most rough and try different values 0-1. You'll need to refine each time after you change smoothing values.
