INGREDIENTS 1/2 cup yellow dal 1/2 cup red dal 5 cups water 1 tsp salt 1/4 tsp tumeric powder 3 tbsp vegetable oil 1 tsp cumin seeds 1 tsp crushed ginger 2 chopped green chillies 1/2 chopped onion 1/2 tsp salt 1 large finely chopped tomato 1/2 tsp red chilli powder 1 tsp garam masala Fresh coriander for garnishing Thought this would help as I was having trouble finding ingredients. I like there to be an ingredients list so I can prepare beforehand.
The dals I've eaten have been thicker in texture. This looks more like a soup. I'm sure it's tasty. And using a pressure cooker is a good time saving idea.
hello guru your voice the way you explain is awesome and please do not make it fast ......its becoz you love cooking that you explain so much and I love that part .....if you choose to b slow listentjng to others you will get lost in the crowd ...all your recipes are yummy and j have tried many of them so please b your self and continue your passion it reaches our heart....god bless you
Thanks! One of my favorite foods. I can buy it here in Thailand but the cost is very high at restaurants. I don't have a pressure cooker but that won't stop me!
hahah, i was just their! just for a couple of months if even. Small town no less. Hope your faring well over there. That new gov, and King are intolerable. be safe!
I loved the tone of your voice :) . Relaxing, it felt like if I were in a yoga class :). I love indian food but never cooked it myself. I will try your recipe! Thanks!
Really love your videos but the measurements seem off. I made this Dahl with your instructions and it had only spice taste. I should have omitted one of the spice ingredients. Plus 6 cups is way too much water for one cup Dahl.
Skip and Shylo Khan thanks Shylo, i'm glad you enjoyed it, but it's 5 cups of water and the cups you used were the same size that you used for the dal ? and spice was only green chili's if you wish to add less spicy chili's please remove the seeds from the green chili's if your a mild spicy eater :)
Looks spicy and delicious but for garlic and green chilli...possible all the nutrients are overcooked and destroyed..would have preferred adding garlic and other veggies later.

I don’t have a pressure cooker. How long would I need to cook the lentils on the stove please
Soaking the lentils for an hour before cooking will reduce cooking time.
Thnks i tried it and it was very 😋 tasty
how long do you cook it in the pressure cooker?
Looks spicy and delicious but for garlic and green chilli...possible all the nutrients are overcooked and destroyed..would have preferred adding garlic and other veggies later.
