    Thank you for delicious dal recipe and all the other recipes

  • @durrezbakes
    @durrezbakes 6 ปีที่แล้ว +32

    INGREDIENTS
    1/2 cup yellow dal
    1/2 cup red dal
    5 cups water
    1 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp tumeric powder
    3 tbsp vegetable oil
    1 tsp cumin seeds
    1 tsp crushed ginger
    2 chopped green chillies
    1/2 chopped onion
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 large finely chopped tomato
    1/2 tsp red chilli powder
    1 tsp garam masala
    Fresh coriander for garnishing
    Thought this would help as I was having trouble finding ingredients. I like there to be an ingredients list so I can prepare beforehand.

    The dals I've eaten have been thicker in texture. This looks more like a soup. I'm sure it's tasty. And using a pressure cooker is a good time saving idea.

      Yes, heeng can be added to the oil. Remember- heeng has a very sharp taste, so add just a pinch!

    Really love your videos but the measurements seem off. I made this Dahl with your instructions and it had only spice taste. I should have omitted one of the spice ingredients. Plus 6 cups is way too much water for one cup Dahl.

    • @GurusCooking
      @GurusCooking  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Skip and Shylo Khan thanks Shylo, i'm glad you enjoyed it, but it's 5 cups of water and the cups you used were the same size that you used for the dal ? and spice was only green chili's if you wish to add less spicy chili's please remove the seeds from the green chili's if your a mild spicy eater :)
