Still after all these years Xiaomi makes the Redmi Note impressive. It is a budget device which I cannot fault on the short comings. But the competition from Realmi and the rest will help them improve.
Right now its awesome since custom roms got proper development. Without laggy mess called MIUI its great for the money. Also gcam apps already exist for the phone, improves photo quality drastically.

I have been using the Redmi Note 11 for 2 months (since August 2022). I gave my previous Redmi Note 8 phone - which I had been using since 2019 - to my father after his POCO M3 phone failed exactly 1 year after purchase (I think the POCO motherboard failed). My Redmi Note 11 usage experience is very bad as compared to my delightful Redmi Note 8 experience. 1. Wallpaper on both home and lock screen gets reset back to factory defaults randomly when browsing with Chrome Browser, Google News, Facebook, listening to MP3 on Musicolet. Very frustrating as I need to reset the wallpaper maybe once a day or once every two days. 2. On the Redmi Note 8, I can set the Camera app watermark setting to show the date using my country region's date format (dd-mm-yyyy). On Redmi Note 11, the Camera app will ignore my country region's setting, and always use American date format (mm-dd-yyyy) - which is really exasperating. In the end, I was forced to use a 3rd party camera app to allow me to watermark my photos with my preferred date format. 3. Fingerprint sensor is VERY BAD in Redmi Note 11. Can no longer use the fingerprint sensor to easily unlock the phone. The fingerprint sensor on my Redmi Note 8 was excellent. After my experience with POCO M3 and this Redmi Note 11, I think I will have to consider another budget phone brand in future instead of Xiaomi. I think Xiaomi growth in recent years has culminated in quality issues.
@@zerenityzerene4410 For your info, I forgot to list another 4th problem that I discovered when I migrated to my Redmi Note 11. In my old Redmi Note 8, I set up Google Clock's alarm to wake me up by running a Google Assistant task "Play the News". However, Google Clock's alarm function does not work in Redmi Note 11. At the trigger time, the phone will display a message "Alarms are blocked in virtual reality". In fact, even if I configured my alarm to just play an alarm and not the Google Assistant task, the phone will still trigger the same error message, so the alarm will never be sounded. In the end, I gave up and use the built-in Xiaomi Clock alarm. However, the Xiaomi Clock app cannot execute Assistant tasks, and so I lost the capability to wake up to the news. I have verified that only my Redmi Note 11 has this problem with Google Clock's alarms. I have friends with budget phones from Oppo, Huawei, Samsung, and their phones were able to run the Assistant task in the Google Clock alarm to "Play the News"
@Pranav Sharma My gripe is that things/apps that worked fine in Redmi Note 8 behave differently in Redmi Note 11. I have checked with friends with new budget phones from Oppo, Samsung that their new budget phones don't have this odd behaviour with the Google Clock app. Only Redmi Note 11 has this "Alarms are blocked in virtual reality" problem. Problem doesn't exist in Redmi Note 8. I was using finger print authentication on my Redmi Note 8 for 4 years (2019 to 2022). Since acquiring the Redmi Note 11, I cannot reliably use finger print authentication 90% of the time, and must always fallback on PIN authentication. This means a poor end user experience with the new phone. The 3rd party camera app runs slower than the native Redmi Note 11 Camera app. But at least it timestamps my new photos in the same yyyy-mm-dd format that old photos I took with my Redmi Note 8, Redmi Note 4 and Redmi Note 1. I just don't understand why the yyyy-mm-dd date format cannot be specified starting with Redmi Note 11. I agree this are "first world" gripes. But I am usually annoyed when manufacturers remove/eliminate stable features that have been available, reliable, and used extensively by me for years. My Redmi Note 11 experience has signalled me to evaluate budget phones from alternative brands for my next phone. My delightful experience with the Redmi Note series of phones since my Redmi Note 1 has truly ended with Redmi Note 11, a phone I did not (and could not) recommend to any of my friends or acquaintances.

bought a Redmi Note 11 phone 8 months ago. When I bought it, I didn't know that the phone has a virtual proximity sensor, not a sensor as a hardware device. It is precisely because of this sensor that I have a problem with the brightness level of the screen, which even the authorized service technician did not solve because my phone is under warranty. Namely what happens: The brightness level is set manually because I don't want it to be automatic. After each end of the phone conversation, the brightness is not the same, i.e. minimized. I noticed one constant for reporting this problem. Namely, if the phone is set to sleep after 30 seconds, if the conversation lasts up to 30 seconds, then the level I set remains the same, and after 30 seconds of talk, the brightness level decreases. The same happens if it is set to 1 minute, 2 minutes, etc. Please help if you have had such a case in practice. I update regularly. My latest version is MIUI 13(13.0.13) Regards,
