These dolls are TOTAL replacements for Monster High dolls! They're soo articulated and we'll sculptured! Glad there's some new replacements for the newer Monster High dolls.. the new ones are so zombie-like.
My only problem with the wild hearts crew is that when you move the legs where the hips are so many times it cuts the plastic and makes a lot of markings. But they are great thou ^^'

Personally, I still like the kind of cartoony body type of the monster high dolls so they aren't a replacement for me :( They seem like great dolls for kids to play with though!
In the netherlands (where i live) you can still get the old mh dolls
if i remember correctly, mattel will be re-releasing glimmer so that she better matches her show design! (heavier set, etc) but the quality control seems to be a whole other problem- if anyone else has quality control, i suggest tweeting them! they responded well with the criticism of glimmer's doll!

omg someone put a madame alexander marvel doll in a thrift store those things are pretty expensive. Is saw the exact same doll Dollightfull found on amazon for 40$ and 90 for a brand new one.

Mine is stored away safe and sound. I bought her right before ToysRUs went out of business so she was around 30 dollars.
I bought that Spider Gwen doll and the Iron Man doll right before Toys R Us shut down. Got em for $10 each. They're really nice dolls, you definitely got a steal at the thrift store!

I don’t know why I’m getting emotional right now. There’s such a wide range of skin tones and body types now and we’ve come so far with dolls... And these seem like really good replacement for Monster High ones since they’re all actually really well articulated and have a lot of diversity! Maybe that’s what’s getting to me... Monster High was my childhood ;.; Even though I don’t customize dolls, I of course kept my favorites since I know they aren’t available anymore.
can't wait to see you make a buff, athletic custom with that she-ra doll! with a little blushing to highlight her musculature she'd be stunning, and so different from most other customs!!
I just like Monster Highs face molding. It’s easier to give them big anime eyes instead of being stuck giving them small realistic ones.

In the old cartoon I know the transformation basically made her a different person, but I don't know if that carried over to the new one...

She-Ra has a light skin tone while the holder of the sword may not. Like Mara for example. Her normal skin tone is Tan while her She-Ra form makes it pale

it’s because She-Ra’s skin glows [cause of her magic] and it makes it look paler, i guess this was Mattel’s way of trying to imitate it, kind of like what they did for the Barbie Twilight dolls :)

i think even barbie is getting a bit better with that, a friend of mine has a little sister with a bunch of newer ones and they had actual torsos and legs that weren't freakishly long like the old rubber legged ones from the 80s and 90s.

Another thing is the she-ra dolls all look like cosplayers. I know it is hard to copy the art style just they look silly.

I'm so impressed with the different body types on these dolls. When I was little all dolls had the same basic body shape and complexion. These are so so cool.

Im a beginner and I was sooo bumped when I eent to Walmart like 3 months ago and didn't find any MH dolls. I had no idea they were discontinued as well. I was even more bumped about the EAH dolls cuz without even having any interest or knowledge about doll customization, I had a MASSIVE crush with them the very moment I saw them i stores for the first time years ago and I never got the chance to buy them for myself [tbh I felt like I was too old for dolls and felt anxious about my fam going off on me for spendingmoney on them, now idgaf 😂].
Any how, I ended up picking up a Kenna Roswell from Wild Hearts Crew and I'm currently turning her into Daenerys Targaryen which is the one character that got me into this hobby and I'm so happy about the progress and the endless ideas and possibilities I have. And I'm even more happy that I found this community and a new hobby to invest myself into. *Stay Artsy* 안녕! 💖💖💖
I like that the She-Ra dolls have flat shoes! As a woman who refuses to wear heels, I appreciate it when dolls reflect that not all women want to willfully subject their feet to pain and damage.
I'm thinking you could decorate a doll with a broken arm or broken leg or something like that.

I'm surprised she found A Madame Alexander Spider Gwen in a thrift store they range like probably 50 and above not to sure but the dolls in that line are quite beautiful my favorite is the one inspired by Black Panther.

Fun fact chip bags aren’t filled with air. There actually filled with something to help keep the chips fresh. So that way they don’t go stale when you store them. Chips are also sold by weight not the size of the packaging. So in most cases you are getting your moneys worth. :)

I’m seeing a lot of comments complaining about how different 2018+ She-Ra is to the old show. Things like “why couldn’t they just remake it, like Voltron, with the same characters and all that?” So here I am trying to clean up an enjoyable show that apparently 40% of the community hates.
(Please keep your toxicity out of the replies section, honestly it’s not fun for anyone and you’re wasting so much time writing it)
If you watch further into the show instead of giving up on episode 1, you’ll find out that this new She-Ra series is basically a 100+ (or maybe 1000+ I can’t remember lol) years later sequel to the old one. They talk about how Adora isn’t the first She-Ra, and are constantly referring to the most recent She-Ra (excluding Adora) as “Mara” though that may not be the same She-Ra from the original show (I’m not sure what her name was)
Hope this helps un-ruin the show for you, it’s actually really enjoyable, just give it a chance.

If you want to straighten the elbow, heat it up with a hair dryer, straighten it out, and while still holding it straight, put the heated plastic into very cold water.
Heating up the plastic can also work for pulling suborn pegs or ball joints out or putting them back in or on

im so happy that they're finally putting different body types on dolls. I grew up with monster high and they don't even look like they have spines. I mean-- im 13 and may or may not still collect them but this next generation is so lucky.

There's some dolls called Snapstars at Walmart too. I picked one up on a whim to use for poses for drawing and was really pleased with the articulation in the joints. She also came with her own stand and green screen lol
