Omg it's Bill and Lisa this the best surprise. I love their videos but this is my first of Dan V World, but having these two is the perfect first video. Subscribed
Wow! Great tacos! For the record, the taco with the pink onions in the sampler was Conchinita Pibil. It’s a Yucatán based pork taco. My Irish roommate makes those for us. He was enthralled by them on his trips there for diving. We can’t bury the pig in a pit so he uses an I stand Pot to cook the pork. I make the pickled onions and OMG they are crazy good. Enjoying this series! Need more L.A. is never ending for great tacos. Kogi!
@@DanVsWorld yes! It reminds me of a place in downtown adjacent on the east side of the freeway near USC. A little restaurant in a sort of indoor food court called Chichen Itza. The specialize in Conchinita Pibil and Pollo Pibil, the chicken version. They are amazing, first time I had the dish was there. More than just tacos, plates and other dishes too. I haven’t been since lock down, I hope they’re still going. Keep up the great work! Where’s Leia missing her smiling face and critiques.
Do you strategically drop these videos at lunch time... when I'm eating my crappy food and then you're showing off your awesome food? Inquiring minds want to know... Seriously though, ALL of those tacos looked amazing... it would be so hard for me to choose. Great video.
Some years ago I remember there was a taco truck that would park in an open parking lot at night near downtown LA and they would bring out a large grill and make carne asada tacos. The best I ever had! Everyone would come out to get their tacos!!
As an Angeleno who is Mexican. No. Respectfully. The highly rated/frequented spots are not always the best or the most authentic. A lot of taco spots in LA are highly rated because they are in a gentrified area. Some of them are good, don't get me wrong, but they are frequented by patrons who don't know good tacos. Said patrons do leave good reviews which gets the buzz up but don't be misled. You have to be selective when reading reviews.
@@zapotec818 El Momo is Over rated! I live a few blocks away, and tbh, there's plenty of better carnitas around. Then again, the taste is to the taster. King Torta in Hillside(between Lincoln Park and El Sereno on Valley Blvd) has much tastier carnitas imo than El Momo. As for street tacos, I like La Guera on Olympic and Orme across from Ramirez Liquor in Boyle Heights. At nearly 57 years old and growing up near the Tijuana border in the 70s & 80s, I pretty much ate at all the(then) great taco places in Tijuana. I'd suggest to viewers, you're going to have to make a trek to every place that grabs your attention and come to your own conclusion. Everyone has their preferences, but if you see a lot of immigrants that don't speak English patronizing the taco vendor, chances are it's legit...
@@05gtdriver King Torta has better carnitas then El Momo. I agree there are other great places other than el Momo but saying King Torta is better just kind of off especially since that place has gone downhill since it started.
So, I lived in LA for 12 years, moved away for work. But when I visit, tbh, I just get me some King Taco. It's always good, inexpensive, and pretty much better than anything I'll get outside of living in a border city. I know LA has lots of better places but just like In N Out or Zankou, King Taco is one of those spots I have to hit anytime I'm in town.
From someone who has been to various mexico states and had tacos from different states. Best tacos here in LA are Angels tijuana- various locations-pastor asada Guadalupe carniceria- carnitas- East LA I think El taurino-Barbacoa-Various locations- get the meat half pound not in tacos do they give you the entire meat pieces not chopped up Yahualica- Cabeza- Canoga park- where the best about 13 years ago you could ever have here in LA area but now they are still very delicious just not the same but definitely try trust me. Guisados- various Guisados meats- various locations- more traditional guisados
Great video and you went to some of my fave spots. You should try Flaming taco and Ave 26 tacos, and if you like goat birria there is this amazing spot called birria jalisco that I've been going to since I was a kid and its fire.
OMG everything looks so yummy 😋 I went ahead and fixed me some carnitas tacos after viewing this video. Thank you for taking us along this taco adventure in LA. I am so happy I subscribed to your channel after seeing you with SinCityFamily, continue blessings♥️♥️♥️
Oh how I miss My CaliLife 💯 just a foodie lover from California now living in Las Vegas NV. Yes Grand Central market is the best spot for Mexican and Chinese food 😉
Some good choices, Dan, but next time you're in the Atwater Village area try Tacos Villa Corona at 3185 Glendale Blvd. Anthony Bourdain named it his favorite taco shop in L.A. After seeing it on his show, and since it's only about a 20 minute drive from where I live, I went to check it out. The tacos and burritos are very good.
Anna Maria's sure does loads their tacos but it isn't what it used to be. The citrus they use turns the Asada meat to mush after it sits for a while. Go with the carnitas or desebrada tacos or gorditas!
The best tacos are in South Central ! Believe it or not! In every corner you'll be find a taco stand and cheaper! Couse there is competition to be the best tacos! Avalon & Slauson Los Poblanos!
if you went to grand central market you should have tried carnitas la michoacana. it is hands down the best taco spot in that shopping center. lol really messed that one up :(
Guisados is bomb. Ana Maria not the best for tacos as the tortilla is not what it use to be. Ana Maria gorditas and burritos are good. I need to try Leo’s as they looked good.
Great video brother :) The Meat for the Tacos at the Grand Central Market are really good, unfortunately their Tortillas are bought packaged and microwaved so they break or get super soggy. Just wish they would at least warm their tortillas enough on the flat grill... specially the ones at the Carnitas at Grand Central Market, the pork is amazing but the tortilla kills it. I'm going to try Guisos, the the variety of tacos sounds amazing. Remember, a great taco has to have a great tortilla and a great Salsa, even if it's a plain Bean taco but those two things will bring anything to Life.
"unfortunately their Tortillas are bought packaged and microwaved so they break or get super soggy." In other words only acceptable to the gentrifying community.
Carne asada, pastor, or Birria tacos ?
All of them!! 😋
I prefer migas al pastor but tacos ain't bad
Would've said carne asada or al pastor BEFORE I discovered the quesobirria tacos. Now it's always birria tacos with the consomme dip.😁🌮
I love birria anything lol but carne asada is a go to choice
Carne asada

Carnitas was my go-to taco, but birria is now my favorite. All of those tacos looked delicious. Thanks for the tour.
Love birria 🔥🌮 thanks for watching Alan

Shoot me the recommendations
Agreed 👍
bro, how you going to make that statement with no recommendations representing the authentic vendors. Like El Momo in Boyle Heights.

It’s pretty cool for a variety of food 🙌🏼
Happy Friday DVW😊
Happy Friday Christine 🔥🙌🏼
Damn Bro you eat more Mexican food than I do 🤤🔥 🌮 You know the real deal man 🍻
Real deal Holyfield
In Mexico when beef is grilled in coal or wood its asada ( grilled ) if not its bistec
🥩
I tried Guisados once in the WeHo area. It was yummy.
The sampler plate is pretty good to get a taste of everything 🌮
I love this tacos place
So good !
What a great video! Slamming'!
Thanks Kevin! 🙌🏼
Food looks great! Dan, you gotta work on your taco tilt.
Thanks Beth
That's a huge taco! One will make a meal for $5.
Yup a Jumbotron taco indeed
Sonora town tacos probably the best tacos I’ve had in LA
You should check out my part 1 top 5 tacos tour, I cover Sonora town it was pretty good
It's kinda hard to get Taco recommendations from an Asian..but I think he does a pretty decent job..
Bro you forgot the soup for Teddy's red tacos missing out
Consomme yum
teddys is fire
Bomb tacos
Yummmm
Wow they really gentrified downtown LA. Wow..
been wanting to try Leo's, Al Pastor tacos on Glendale blvd in the day, but can we park in that business lot 😅 ?anyone know
There’s limited parking in the gas station lot and around the neighborhood my advice is come early
@@DanVsWorld Thanks for the reply 👍
Nice taco, but I would’ve made 2 or 3 tacos out of it so it doesn’t fall apart. Carne asada looks nice and tender!
Haha yup next time
Go to food truck "Gracias Señor" in Palisades. Best tacos in LA by far.
Thanks for the rec!
you gotta also give angel's tijuana tacos a shot one day
Thanks for the rec!

Best way to judge a taco spot is by the flavor of their Buche and Lengua tacos 🌮

How’s the surrounding area as far as parking ? I remember that being a very bad area.
They actually have a parking structure at the grand central market now
@@DanVsWorld thanks for the info I’m gonna go check it out👍

Yum

oh shit!!! they renamed it to the last spot you went too. nevermind my dude you hit it on the head lol
Lol
Another Teddy's Red Tacos is in Whittier (forgot exactly the address).
the best tacos are the trucks and street stalls imo, from a local.
LA💪🏾
City of angels 😇
I think my Mexican wife makes the best carne asada tacos. She uses quality ingredients and toppings.
The best tacos are found in Mexico and Turkey.
Gotta try those tacos haha sounds good
lol as a LA native you starting this at grand central i feel like they lied to you
😂
Also Leo's Tacos is mediocre.
Two pastor taocs pls and 4 birria tacos
nice flavor and fresh meat is all you say..... do you even know what your tasting as when the meat was bought?
A soon as you see a white tortilla you know those tacos won’t be good!!!
You should mention that guisado means “stew”!
This is true
you should try ave 26 tacos
I actually have a stand alone video going there last year it’s pretty good
CHOCOLATE!!!!!!!!!! Wait no… TACOS!!!!!!!!!!!
Lol
We wanted to sub but we don't see any information addresses
Etc
Very frustrating
Taqueria La Naranja
If you would only have known orozcos off of Soto street
you said a hot summer day in January?

Los de chicharrón y carnitas!!!!
🥩
sonoratown!
the tacos in this market are decent but definitely not even in the top 10 of tacos in LA .. they do satisfy but those tortillas suck and fall apart
If it’s not goat, it’s not birria; it’s barbacoa.
I love with lil bits of fat pop in my mouth! My favorite is pastor
Big facts, pop lock and drop it
Get some East LA street tacos
I’ve done individual videos there in the past, and have some on my part 1 video
