My primary introduction to Doctor Who was called A Book of Monsters and was primarily about all the work that goes into Who behind the scenes, I absolutely adore getting to see all the talent, skill and effort that goes into the modern series
I have enough Doctor Who books to fill an entire room, my favourites are: The 50th Anniversary Essential Guide, The TARDIS Handbook, The Vault and there's a big silver covered one I have that I can't remember the name of but it's basically a massive Dalek encyclopedia
Wow, there are a lot of shows that would have just built the catwalks and green screened the rest. This explains why it looked so stunning in the shot they used!
I love that the buttons and levels on the tardis are actually usable but that I mean they sound satisfying! From the clicks buttons, the lights turning on, spinning, symbols, ITS SO COOL
Amazing amount of work went into building this beautiful set! It has become my favorite, I think part of the reason is that it reflects so much light! Ten’s old Tardis was very dark, I thought, Eleven’s and Twelve’s improved on that somewhat, and can’t say I cared for Thirteen’s at all. Love this new Tardis, love to have Tennant back even for a short while, and can’t wait for Ncuti!
I’m so glad they recorded and posted this, it gives us a much better appreciation for this new Tardis and all the work and ingenuity that went into it. They actually mapped it out in VR first? Goodness, it helps you realize that what you see on screen is just the tip of the iceberg. Plus, I guess I just assumed that the scale of it was enhanced on screen with some movie magic, but they actually built a full-sized solid structure that is every bit as big as it appears on the screen. Wow!
David immediately going ham on the buttons just goes to show how much of the 10th/14th's character is David and vice versa. He's impossible to replace for his role in the doctor who universe!
Me too. I loved 12's bookcases and armchairs especially. This one seems a bit.. cold if I am honest. Are we going all circa-1970s sci-fi-y now because I am missing the Dark Fairy Tales of Moffat's era. I missed them with Chibnall's History And Sociology Lesson of The Week Jodie-Whittaker era. Please bring back Moff as a writer!!
Yeah, I’m extremely impressed by it but you are right that it doesn’t feel much like a space in which you would actually want to live. In terms of feeling homey, it is still a vast improvement over Jodie’s very dark organic looking Tardis. That one always felt like you were in the bowels of some giant beast. But it sounds like they are going to start adding some furniture as they go along, so we will see.
The paint job with the red stripe around the little recessed edge that you see when the Doctor and Donna are sitting against it at the end of the episode reminded me of Star Trek. Just the red stripe on the white paint evoked the Galileo shuttlecraft from TOS.
This design may replace the design first seen in The Snowmen as my favourite, It just looks more like a classic tardis with the round things and the clean white pallet
This design brings back the one thing that's been missing from TARDIS interiors recently - light. The TARDIS should feel like a safe haven. Somewhere you can run to where the monsters won't get you (except in rare exceptional circumstances!). I always loved the contrast between the chaos outside, and the calm serenity inside. Caves of Androzani is a prime example, when the Doctor is running through the exploding mud flats, and eventually makes it to the safety of the TARDIS.
I've been wtaching Doctor Who ever since I was a child as I'm sure most people here have, but this TARDIS has already got shouts of being my favourite so far!
even tho i like the clean look, i feel like its a bit empty, just like 13's tardis. i always felt like Capaldi' tardis was a great mix of a spaceship and a home, it actually felt like the doctor lives there with all his trinkets. i get that they are trying to make it look like the first doctor tardis but we have come a long way, we can have more stuff in the console room.
I think that's going to be up to 15. This feels like it could be a sort of blank slate for him or others to add their own style to - like 12 did after taking that one on from 11. (Very MINOR SPOILER, but a shot in the latest teaser shows Ncuti in it with at least some additions)

Ten’s old Tardis was very dark, I thought, Eleven’s and Twelve’s improved on that somewhat, and can’t say I cared for Thirteen’s at all. Love this new Tardis, love to have Tennant back even for a short while, and can’t wait for Ncuti!
You know what, guys? *This* is my favourite TARDIS interior.
Wow!
I still can’t get over how beautiful the new control room is.❤
David immediately going ham on the buttons just goes to show how much of the 10th/14th's character is David and vice versa. He's impossible to replace for his role in the doctor who universe!
While I love his version, I also liked Capaldi,
And watched 11 and 9 with interest.
I have faith they can do it again with 15 🤞
Wowza 🤘 incredible art and Brillant design. Love the 7th Doctor looking console.
I like this TARDIS lot, but I do miss the home friendly feeling TARDIS that was evident in the 11th and 12th Doctor’s era.
"where's david gonna run?" LMAO? I love it! Honestly this is such a dream job and to see how the tardis looks from my childhood to now is crazy! /pos
The paint job with the red stripe around the little recessed edge that you see when the Doctor and Donna are sitting against it at the end of the episode reminded me of Star Trek. Just the red stripe on the white paint evoked the Galileo shuttlecraft from TOS.
This design may replace the design first seen in The Snowmen as my favourite,
It just looks more like a classic tardis with the round things and the clean white pallet
Steffan Powell lingering in the background at the end for Unleashed
So the Tardis is canonically just a big stim toy. Incredible.
The Tokamak design is genius and fits the Tardis so well!
Such an amazing set 😍
I love the attention to detail
And the strong commitment to the future of the show 😊
I love how he casually just mentions that he presses so many buttons while filming that he broken all the buttons on the old tardis set.
David Tennant is such an adorable fan in this video and I’m living for it
Looks gorgeous 🤍
Love this TARDIS and that there are physical levers, and push buttons.
I love David’s mad grin while he twirls the fiddlable lever . Wish we had a full season with David again... :(.
Looks even bigger when you see it like this. So much great work.
Yes, that was my reaction too.
This new TARDIS control room is absolutely GORGEOUS!
I love how David is fanboying
