Just did this on my '11 GT Convertible.. video was a big help.. however my cluster only had 3 torx screws on the back and really only the one center one had to be removed to take off the front clear pods for access to the gauge face. Had a hell of a time getting the pointers realigned though. Even though I followed the instructions in the video, when I plugged the cluster up the speedo and tach were not pointed at zero and ended up having to do it open it back up while plugged in to the connector to try to get them lined up. Also if you jostle it to much getting it back in the dash the pointers seem to get off zero some how. Way better look than the old white face ones though.
Great vid man....really was just looking to cover my tpms light with tape on the cluster sheet because I have diffrent sets of wheels for my stang that I switch around and wanted to see how to take everything out instead of paying hundreds for sensors. Greatly appreciated
@@adrianrodriguez4292 just a used stock cluster. Had to get it cloned to my original cluster…or else it wouldn’t start. Finding somebody to clone it was the tricky part.
If i have the stock 2014 v6 base model You know how the lights are blue ish in the dash?? Do i need to change just the face plate so they can be white or also the bulbs?
Hey Kevin I am looking for a face plate for the 2011 svt cobra and my cluster has the 4 gages, i like the black face with the white outer ring like you had taken off yours, I wanted to convert the cluster to the newer trac apps cluster but they are very expensive and since my car has really low miles 2011 with 26,000 miles I cant find one . even the busted ones are still over $200. do you know where to get the face plate like your original but without the 2 gage in tach. I would consider to buy your old one but i would have to cut it which would look crappy, thanks for any info, I tryed to google gage face plates but i see them for 2005 to 2009 and they ae rather expensive for all they are, wish I could buy a used one like you have but for the Cobra svt. with center gage cluster, reasonable. the type of face plate shows up better with the my color options. my car has the white face which is rather bright thanks for any info. sincerely Ryan
Ryan Reynolds If I'm reading this correctly, you're looking for a black face with white lettering with only two gauges in the center? If you go on blackcat gauges website, they should have some like that listed under 2011-2012.
Thanks for responding Im looking for the gage face with the face plate like you removed to install my 2011 has the 6 gages and the white face . My cluster has the fuel ,temp ,oil and amp. I like the face plate you had removed it looks like the 2011 to 14 cobra svt face plate , buy your cluster has the trac apps mine is the 2011 which didnt come with it, I see on youtube they can be installed but the 2013-14 clusters are really expensive and have to be reprogrammed to work in my car due the the security. I even see broken clusters selling for over $200, I had seen one sell one for $100 I shoulda bought it but didnt have the money at the time, thanks for the info. tho have a great night Ryan
