Mildred’s eyes……they kill me. Despite the kind of hell she has been through….she still allows us humans to have access to her beautiful soul. She is such a fighter and I hope she spends the rest of her life at the Asher House so she can only know LOVE 🙏🏻.

We can't be all that horrible, cuz folks like Lee, like all the people adopting animals, young and old, who are making a difference every day.
We can show kindness to someone we don't know today, support a pal whose adopted a pet by volunteering to bff- sit while they take weekend a trip. We can do better so easily by choosing to.
I however, fully support day drinking with buddies :)

Until animal abusers are arrested, prosecuted, and handed stiff sentences , they won’t stop. Thank you Lee Asher for a look back at Mildred and her wonderful transformation.

I hope the former owners are being monitored in case they acquire more animals. There are laws in place, biggest problem is they aren't enforced. Photos and video evidence is helpful.

I know it's not nice to play favorites but Mildred was from the start...she has come from the brink of dying from starvation to being healthy, happy and loved...I always watch for her when you post your walks...thank you Lee for being her savior...much love from 🇨🇦

I choke up every time I watch the part where the door opens and she looks out at Lee, it just made my heart hurt seeing her in such poor shape. I'm so happy she's doing well after all the terrible things she's endured in the past. Can tell she loves Lee so much, glad she gets to spend the rest of her life in a place of comfort and peace!

Mildred seems calm, happy and well-fed these days! One year to near perfect health isn't bad for an older dog! My 14-year-old rescued Aussie took 3 years to get emotionally and physically healthy. Asher House CBD oil helped a lot! Hugs to all! WOOF! 🐶💓

YES! I said this when you first posted Millie's rescue; that I am experiencing a lot of complications with my disease (lupus) and that Millie inspired me to keep going. Sometimes I forget how your rescues look when they come to you since the changes are gradual. Seeing Mildred so skinny and then seeing her so lovely and healthy brings tears to my eyes- tears of sadness at how she was neglected so badly but then tears of joy and gratitude for what she and you have accomplished this past year. We took in a medium poodle named Bean. He was left in his apt for weeks without food as the owner was a drug addict. Finally it was reported there was a dog in the apt and was saved. He was inches from death. We took care of him and he’s been with us now 4 years and is completely loved 24/7.

I love all of your dogs. But, Mildred captured my heart and is one of my very favorite rescues. She is so loyal to you you can tell that she's very appreciative of your tender loving care. She knows she has been saved. Her disposition is so sweet. I'm so happy she is healing and doing well. Thank you for all that you and your staff do! :-)

She reminds me of our rescued mastiff Dami, he was well under weight when we rescued him, I was told he wasn't keen on men either. But 6 months down the line, he reached his perfect weight, and was always at my side, thank you for rescuing Mildred, and thanks to anyone who rescues these beautiful dogs
