Gareth I enjoyed you live last night, you had me in stitches, it’s truly amazing how a group of people who have never met can come together via the internet and have a great time! Thank you 🙏 Your bacon looks yummy!
I always like to fold a single slice of buttered bread from left to right, with my bacon, sausages or spam on , that way it holds the food in place much better than cutting the slices in half.
Good morning Gareth bacon 🥓 looks delicious I had tea and toast… it’s snowed here in Barnsley though night bitterly cold biting wind… have a great Saturday
That's it Garath !! Just what the doctor ordered Your Sarnie is just how I like it 👌 and of course a nice cuppa Loved last night Thanks felt part of a growing support team 👍 Lyndax
Hi Gareth. I was hoping my air fryer would arrive today but nothing yet. Its great how you're demonstrating stuff with yours which will encourage us to be more creative with ours. Nice bacon sandwich you made there. I like a fried egg on it too. Cheers.
I love a fried egg too, but I have to have a soft yolk, which needs something like a crusty roll, oven bottom muffin, baguette or ciabatta, you put the egg on top of everything then turn the whole thing upside down, squeeze the sandwich and break the yolk, the yolk completely soaks into the bread…it’s delicious 😋
Your bacon looks delicious. I've just gotten an air fryer and I've done alsorts in it. Even a cooked chicken. I've done a fry up, chips, fish fingers, chicken coupons and for my tea tonight I did a bacon sandwich with HP sauce on. I bought a puremate 5.5l one because I wanted a white one. I'm very impressed with them, I even talked my friend into getting one
I tend to do a small English knowadays. Egg, bacon and black pudding (occasionally cherry tomatoes). Another two things I've changed (and prefer) is no sauce...and egg not runny. I put a lid on frying pan and get the yoke just slightly white on top. I prefer the flavours this way. HP and tomato sauce can and do overpower the flavours. All done in frying pan, with a little bit of vegetable oil.
Fer does gareth that looks absolutely amazing I could just fire that in right now and you are quite correct bacon has to be crispy not that anemic sloppy stuff crispy all the way and once again that is a proper builders brew 👍👍🍞🍞🥓🥓🍅🍅
It's a good investment , I've had mine for 2 years , not the same brand as Gareth's but it's still brilliant 👌. I'm still learning from others the different things you are able to cook . Mine has a spit roast rotisserie function for whole chickens and joints of meat 🍖, I've never tasted such moist and tender meat with crispy skin or crackling Online recipes are endless. Good luck!
Mine is a Ninja but I should have got bigger one for family cooking. They are great. You can check food without having to restart timer, Great for cheese sambos. Greetings from Dublin. Your bacon sandwich looked yummy.

Those part baked bread rolls you buy in the supermarket come out really well and quickly in the air fryer. Would work great with that crispy bacon. But with brown sauce ,tomato sauce or ketchup if we’re being posh is for chips.
The part baked baguettes are too big for the Foodi. ☹️ but the rolls will definitely fit. I think I’d best order a freezer full, I love them with bacon and egg!
My first thing I cooked in airyer I got a corsori it was baconso quick easy and the bacon was crisp ill have to get one of those airfryer books lovefran xxx
Always use the air fryer, The oven only seems to be used for roast meats or stuff like lasagne these days! Tried a steak in it a few weeks ago, Came out rather well!
I have a airfryer aswell, I am the same as you, use it mostly every day, haven't tried bacon yet, will do now I have seen your video. Amazing video love watching them. 😁👍👏👏
Gareth, Try Coop Streaky bacon 4 mins in the Microwave 900 Watts. Place it between 2 sheets of kitchen towel. Comes lovely and crispy. Happy New year. See you later. Thanks
I like my bacon done in the microwave. Two sheets of kitchen roll on a plate, 3 slices of smoked back bacon, one more sheet of kitchen roll over it, stick it in the microwave (800w) for 3-4mins, depending on how well done I want it to be. Sometimes I'll melt some Red Leicester cheese on it. As for the brown sauce vs red sauce, I like a bit o' both!
Ooooh!... That looks delicious mate... 👍 I must admit Gareth, i do love a good Bacon Butty my friend... I also like cooking Gammon Steaks in the Air Fryer as well... If you've got any small ramekins, you can crack an Egg into each one after a a quick spray of cooking oil too... Eggs and Bacon in a morning... 🥓🥚 It doesn't get much better than that Gareth... Cheers mate. 🍺
I find I'm using my Tefal ait fryer a lot more than the conventional oven nowadays, I live on my own and it's great for one person for a variety of things, much quicker too. Favourite thing atm is Aldi frozen marinated chicken wings/pieces that come in a bag. They come out lovely and crispy on the outside and moist inside. I've got the same alarm on my phone too, I actually went to turn it off whilst watching this video, lol. Take care of you and yours mate!
One thing i dont need/use is the foil in the base as the pot is easily cleaned or some bread in the base to soak up the oil. Great machine to have and use and parts are dishwasher safe. Beware of black legs of fryer can break easily when removing them one at a time. Another tip slide the legs under the solid part of basket to hide from stuff dripping down from the basket. Another tip if you get lingering smells a cut up lemon and water and do the pc function test for a zesty clean. Waiting for more great videos to make life simple.
Hi mate, enjoyed this one, I do enjoy your straightforwardness and honesty, the opinions of regular chap! you make good use of the air fryer, after some months of using it do you still think its good? Thanks again.
Hi I found this tutorial really helpful, I use butchers bacon so it’s fairly thick and fatty, so I cooked it for the first time with tin foil under the rack and also a peace of bread so when the fat dripped it would catch it and not spit, it cooked perfectly and the bread was nice and crispy, so I used for my sandwich and it was really great! Well worth a try😊
Looked delicious definitely thinking about getting one of those air fryers they are so versatile.Ive got a slow cooker had it for years use it all the time but cant do all the things the air fryer can.Great video as always and congratulations on your continued increasing subs you will be up to 20k in no time and you definitely resonate with people so keep up the good work its very appreciated 😀👍
@Sharon Turner Definitely get one, you won't regret it. Just two pieces of unsolicited advice.. Purchase the best you can afford and don't do what the Americans seem to do that is, high temperatures and short cooking time. Low and slow wins the day. 👍
We've had a Ninja Foodi for a couple of years and an ordinary air fryer before that. I use it for virtually every meal for something but for some reason, I've never thought of doing bacon in it. I've still been frying that in a frying pan. It's coming up for breakfast time now. I may try that today.
The Foodi is brilliant for air frying! I love bacon, and sausages, cooked in it. I use it for almost everything, rice is one of my favourites, especially brown rice, it comes out perfectly cooked! It’s frightening to start with but, once you’ve mastered it, the sky’s the limit 😀
We've got one but I actually use my halogen oven which I think cooks even quicker. Beats using a conventional oven and you don't need to pre-heat. You can't beat a toasted crispy bacon sandwich and a cup of tea!

I'm seriously thinking about getting an air fryer, got to be more economical than conventional oven. I've watching your beer review channel for a while now, never knew you had a food channel too but have subbed now. 👍
You always get a thumbs-up from me Gareth! 👍😂 I don't do my bacon in an Air Fryer, because I haven't got one! My Mother has an Air Fryer, but she doesn't use it any more, on account of her being dead! She had a minor heart attack, and died before my eyes in hospital at the height of the pandemic last February. She never regained consciousness. I hadn't seen her for almost a year, due to COVID. Life can be cruel, so make the most of it while you can! You never know what's around the corner!
@@paulinemcallister9855 I beg your pardon? Are you suggesting I should have STOLEN my dead Mother's Air Fryer from the family home? ... Your comment seems in very poor taste, and an insult to my late Mother!
Yep use air fryer on my Ninja XL Grill. Hardly use the oven now. You must try cheese toasty’s using the air fryer option, can’t beat them done that way, just prepare as you would…butter bread on the outside.
I do mine at 165 for 10 mins, turned it over and finished it for 3 mins. Gammon is nice in there too. If you put cheese in the bacon butty, butter the outside slices and put it back in the fryer you have a nice cheese toasty. I have a Tower with a spit, spit roasted chicken in an airfryer 45mins lovely. I squirted it with oil a few times and had enough fat to make gravy.
Marvellous 👍 did a roast chicken then Mac and Cheese in the Ninja - was perfect and so easy and not a million pots to wash afterwards 😃 live chat was a good laugh 😆
Sooo jealous right now, normaly I have Sundays & Weds of work. But i'm in tomoz so no bacon in toast for me. Brown sauce is my preference. I cant wait for my next day of now after watching this lol
I just have to have the crusts on the same side! I fry my bacon in a small pan with a teaspoon of sunflower oil. Also 3 rashers, but unsmoked streaky bacon from Tesco. I'm not keen on smoked bacon. I also toast the bread, which looks very similar to the bread you're using. I buy various kinds of bread, mainly oat & barley or super seeded from Tesco, and also Lidl does nice sliced bread, the 50/50 kind. And I, too, put tomato sauce in the sandwich.
Like the way you had a quick take two on “In between half way” from the recipe book. Were you thinking does it means quarter of the way through? Sarni looked good. It would be great to see you do a taste test on Ketchup Heinz versus supermarket brands. Get the wife to dole it out so you can do a blind test.
I got one last year but haven't used it much as the cookbooks I've seen are all American and measured in cups. However, you've put a new light on it Gareth and I'll give it another go. Thanks.
Hi Gareth. Your eyes aren't looking so sharp this morning's video. Result of bending the elbow.. Mate.. You know I have a ninja foodi, but using it for Bacon I don't. It's the frying pan for me... I like my bacon Moist, no longer than 1 1/2 minutes a side and with thick cut sauteed onions and a slice of cheddar cheese Having said that, what I will do is remove the rind from the bacon with as little fat as possible and Air Fry that on the hottest setting. It comes out looking like Pork Crackling Squirls. So crispy. Toast has to be facing Top to Top. I'm funny about that 🤔 Another great air frying demonstration today Gareth. Cheers mate, all the best now. 👍🤤🇦🇺
I have done bacon in the air fryer which is the best bacon that I have cooked. As I like it crispy the fryer does a good job. I have done a cooked breakfast in the it I put the black pudding on the bottom of the rack then place the bacon and sausage on top so the juices go in the black pudding and for good measure I put a slice of bread under the rack. This was just wonderful.
I now use my air fryer more than the oven as you are only heating up a small oven instead of the big one. Also very versatile and It’s so cost effective and so easy to keep clean.

Marvellous 👍 did a roast chicken then Mac and Cheese in the Ninja - was perfect and so easy and not a million pots to wash afterwards 😃 live chat was a good laugh 😆
Cheers Sam, yes they are great aren't they
If you have a smart meter you should be able see which is using the most power the airfriy or the big oven
Yes got one.
Do you ever fry bacon?
Sooo jealous right now, normaly I have Sundays & Weds of work.
But i'm in tomoz so no bacon in toast for me.
Brown sauce is my preference. I cant wait for my next day of now after watching this lol
can you tell me what air fryer you hav please? i have a cheap one and would love to upgrade it as mine dont have as many functions as yours
Sure Ninja foodi max
What was the name of the book you used please? Looks delicious!! I’m definitely going to try this x
Robert Jones, air fryer cook book. Cheers Traci x
Another great video. Can you tell me what model number your ninja is. Or the litre size. Want to buy the same..
Foodie max. 7.5 litre capacity 👍👍
Cheers
This is a fantastic brilliant food review channel on TH-cam and your video is amazing too and please do Currys in air fryer
Cheers Donna, good idea
Air fryers are best invention ever, my oven has only been used twice in 2 years and that was for Xmas turkey lol great video m8 👍
Haha yes I have to agree Gaz
Looks lovely Gareth hope you have a lovely day 😊👌
Cheers, you too Debbie 👍😋😋
cool .
Do mine in a decent none stick pan on the hob in a tiny bit of water works great but not as crispy
Cheers
Like the way you had a quick take two on “In between half way” from the recipe book. Were you thinking does it means quarter of the way through? Sarni looked good. It would be great to see you do a taste test on Ketchup Heinz versus supermarket brands. Get the wife to dole it out so you can do a blind test.
I agree with the crusts Gareth top and tail everytime cheers
Yes👍👍
That crispy, brown fat looked heavenly. I'd remove that to slowly enjoy after with the tea.
Never tried a toast sandwich, looks good.
cheers pal, yes I love them, thanks 😊
was it smoked or unsmoked bacon? It looks delicious whatever it is.
unsmoked ,lovely and crispy for 10 minutes
Perfect bacon. Well now Gareth is the air fryer easy to clean and does it have a charcoal filter?
Yes very easy to clean.
I got one last year but haven't used it much as the cookbooks I've seen are all American and measured in cups. However, you've put a new light on it Gareth and I'll give it another go. Thanks.
Thank you 👌😋👍
I'm funny about that 🤔
Another great air frying demonstration today Gareth. Cheers mate, all the best now. 👍🤤🇦🇺
Haha cheers John, yes a tad tipsy last night lol 😉👍👍
I have done bacon in the air fryer which is the best bacon that I have cooked. As I like it crispy the fryer does a good job. I have done a cooked breakfast in the it I put the black pudding on the bottom of the rack then place the bacon and sausage on top so the juices go in the black pudding and for good measure I put a slice of bread under the rack. This was just wonderful.
Cheers, yes I'm doing Sausages in it tomorrow 😋😋😋
I now use my air fryer more than the oven as you are only heating up a small oven instead of the big one. Also very versatile and It’s so cost effective and so easy to keep clean.
