Please! My pre-teen years, if I had a bored moment I would pop this in. And don't get me started on summer break. Come Fly With Me, Michael Jordan's Playground, NBA Superstars 1 & 2. Even later on with Air Time and Above & Beyond. I was a junkie for that stuff. Throw in some NFL Rocks also 😛
these youngsters will never know how great Michael Jordan was because they weren't around to see him play and the fact that the league was real and a lot tougher and it took more to get a whistle compared to today's game where if you look at another player it's a foul
I remember when I was watching this clip on my VCR to death, I ruined my tape due to excessive slow motion all MJ sequence long. Those are memories we never forget. Also I believe this is the best MJ short video
Just found this marvelous gem today, and WOW!😍This is simply fantastic, really enjoyed the highlights and the showmanship of the greatest basketball player of all time, Michael Jeffrey Jordan, not to mention the spectacular singing of Patti LaBelle and the lyrical rapping of Big Daddy Kane. Phenomenal vid. 💯👍🔥
Takes me back to the 90's..still have this on VHS.. With Barkley, Hardaway&Mullin... Must get a videorecorder.. So much more bosses I can't name... Love the vid by the way! 😊
miner, penny, hill, carter, now kobe and lebron, all of these kids wanted to play like jordan, obviously, they want to be the best and most spectacular player, and I guess this story will be the same with the future players coming into the nba, we will see more jordan's players, but I'd like to see players having the style of magic, thomas or barkley, that would bring more fun to the fans, but that would be harder to see than the next michael jordan, cause everybody wants to play like him
Dude you said it... NBA ´S rules let bad players be regular, regular players be good... and good players be superstars. What an NBA... Just check NBA ALL STAR GAMES, the same... Theres´s no one like Mike. When Michael got the ball, something amazing happened in BASKETBALL, not only NBA.
@blackadam06...Zones were illegal in the NBA back then (when Jordan was playing), not to mention that the zones that they're talking about in the newspaper quotes, were not the same zones that they currently played in college. A lot of teams used to "cheat" by double and triple-teaming Jordan off the ball, but the illegal defense rule prevented teams from triple teaming Jordan beyond the free throw stripe when he didn't have the ball. Thank goodness for this rule!
When there's something in the air And the earth is shaking Something inside me knows One heart went falling A premonition in my bones I can sense it, there it goes Something about two lovers that changes the world I can detect it Seem to reflect it and I say I feel it in my heart, well Feels like another one It gets me in my soul now It feels like another one When I look into your eyes There's a reaction And I don't need to know what makes it happen I know I've been in love before But love's a magic open door And every time somebody reaches in my heart I can detect it I got to reflect it, I say I feel it in my heart, yeah Feels like another one It gets me in my soul now It feels like another one I'm lost in the sauce by a force that I can't pause When I come across the open doors that were yours It's uncontrollable whenever I'm holding you With a love that I feel as good as gold with you So may I address you with a little bit of tenderness and Togetherness it takes to form a relationship You know the day that these feelings began I said then It feels like another one A premonition in my bones I can sense it, there it goes Something about two lovers that changes the world I can detect it Got to reflect it I feel it in my heart, well Feels like another one It gets me in my soul now It feels like another one When you feel the reaction of physical attraction And deep in your mind it's pure satisfaction From the need of true companionship And once you feel it inside your soul Oh man you get captivated, elevated, rejuvenated Fascinated, so many feelings it's hard for me to state Cause no one can really defy The power of love taking over and over Comfort one another, lover to lover No matter how you avoid it It's still gonna uncover When you can't detect it or reflect it Don't try to neglect it You gotta respect it
My PE teacher Mr. Wolf let me borrow this for a weekend and i wore that tape out lol. The night before I gave it back my Dad put both the VHS players together and made me a copy 😂😂😂
Now that I FEEL and I respect.. When I see these young kids running their mouths talking about Kobe Bryant is the best ever. Complete lunacy. Kobe would have been a GOOD player in that era not a great one. Their are no more great defenders in the league BUT in that era you had men.. no superstars who could score and handcuff you too. It brings tears to my eyes to see how watered down this league has become. High School players wouldnt dare come out for they knew their skill level was not on par.
And lastly, another noticeable effect of the rules change, is the DECREASE in ball movement. Teams are running MORE high screen-n-roll, which leads to MORE "1-on-1" play now, than there EVER WAS in MJ's era. One way of PROVING this is to simply look at the stark DECREASE in "team" assists per game. This facet of team play dramatically DROPPED, and is SIGNIFICANTLY LOWER than it was during the mid 80's thru the 90's & that's a FACT!
@Air23Davis well, Shaq was dominating with his body, all that mass. Just push everyone out of the way and dunk it. Olajuwon was dominating only couple of seasons. MJ was doing day in day out. Also those kids thinking that todays stars are better than stars from 20 years ago, well, just watch a full game of 1992 Eastern Conference Semifinals between Bulls and Knicks, or couple of years before that between bulls and pistons. Not a highlight reel, but full games ;) You'll see the real defence.
There were no zones in MJ's era huh? Oh really? "Last season, Jordan had to [overcome] the harassment of [zone traps] and [double & triple teaming] to win the scoring title by averaging 37.1 points a game" -- NY Times, Nov 4, 1987 "Perhaps the biggest confusion of all was the tougher [illegal-defense] rule to [combat zone defenses.]" -- Rod Thorn; former VP of Operations; "The Sports of Times 1994: Combating hand-checks the world over" I thought zones weren't played back then? LOL!!
If anyone is foolish enough to compare today’s best players with yesteryears legends is just foolish. It is a completely different game each generation. Best players should not be judged against players of different eras for some obvious and for some not so obvious reasons. Maybe players should just be judged against their peers in that time era they played in because of all of the different circumstance players play in? But with that being said, the “league” never saw anyone like Michael Jordan, he was and will always be the absolute best.
"[Zones] were also used [frequently] before they were [legalized] as well. One example, the 80s Celtics were known [users] of it & always got away with it. These are the same Celtics Jordan destroyed from an individual standpoint." -- NY Times, Feb 29, 2009 Versions of "zone 'D" have LONG been in the NBA B4 it was "legalized in '05. Besides, today's version isn't even a REAL zone because the def 3-sec rule PREVENTS it from being one LOL!! MJ faced more of a zone than today's set up..
Period? Oh Please Never say that The Greatest Player of all times 4 Ever Kobe & LBJ they are just shadow's like the other's. They just have to re-birth to be like Mike
everyone says lebron is better than jordan which is wrong because lebron is talented but michael jordan had to face hall of fame talent in their prime like isiah and magic larry bird charles barkley the mountain was much more higher for jordan than it was for lebron
nobody ever plays like him. Maybe they cant just reach his limit of ending. But how sad it is Jordan will never be the bst ever. I know there is always someone better and yes almost nobody saw him but i go for the goat. Maybe whem Jordan saw him he's was better too but we never know. Earl is my man. The story about him hmmm i understan it. Basketball is great but it's not live....... Not negative too you but i think some more than magic jordan and others. Sorry i got coment on you.............
If I have to hear one more Kobe VS Jordan debate, I'm gonna throw up! Get over it and appreciate both of thier games!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PS - Shut up
@chitown2251972 Oh really? "Our teams are [zoning now]. Rule or [no rule] (illegal defense). We're not allowed to use the word `zone' but [it's a zone]" -- Dick Motta: "A Twilight Zone: "The NBA has this rule about illegal defense"; Associated Press, 1996. U kids today really need to go educate yourself in a MAJOR way..SMH
Jajaja... check out the from the minute 1:12 to 1:17... can Kobe, Lebron, T-Mac and others do that? NOOOO... Ánd that´s only part of the skills he had on the court. When he got the ball something amazing happened not in NBA... in basketball. Kobe is good but he´s not even close to legends like Larry Bird and Magic. Don´t pretend to compare Kobe with the one who is beyond to them.
What!!! The fact you are letting know about double-teamed is a joke. Michael used to be covered the same way, because man to man was completely unstopable. Kobe is good but never like Mike. In the same era Kobe would be good but he won´t be like Mike. JORDAN is too far from him, from them... This guy took over the league. NBA HISTORY LEADER IN POINtS PER GAME state this opinion. ZONE DEFENSE is easier, it gives you a better shoot position, if you are not a good shooter, that´s another story.
Dad got this with his subscription to sports illustrated, used to watch this over and over anyone else ball out in living room watching this? 🔥
Shit you know i did and that’s my word..!!!! Used to have all 3 of the jawns..!!!!
Please! My pre-teen years, if I had a bored moment I would pop this in.

@@YungEmmakulata lol glad I wasn’t the only one! Pretty sure it’s the reason we got a lifetime ban on playing basketball in the house too.
I tried to ball out on the court like that... then realized I'm more like a poor man's version of a mix of John Stockton and Mark Price. 🤣🤣🤣
@@KeoTheCupcake 🏆🏆Stockton and Price balled out tho lol
The man! Anyone who doubts this man as the greatest to play the game is just crazy!
Bring back memories of my years playing street basketball in Africa
GOAT, clearly
NBA Superstars 2 is the best out of all the 3!
these youngsters will never know how great Michael Jordan was because they weren't around to see him play and the fact that the league was real and a lot tougher and it took more to get a whistle compared to today's game where if you look at another player it's a foul
Mike have went on to actually compliment alot of new era players now basically admitting they're more talented than the players in his era
Brings me back. Thanks for sharing - I wore this VHS tape out. JAMMMMMMMM! Whoooo-OOOO JAMMMM!
FAYMprod me too! I’ve been searching for this video for years now. 😃
3:02 and there will never be another Michael Jordan.
Everyone wants to be like Mike, but NO-ONE can!!
Thank you for always the great memories!!!

Ain’t gonna lie when I was younger I used to get Clifton Powell confused with Big Daddy Kane and vise versus..!!! That’s some funny shit..!!!!
big daddy kane making an appearance love it
And everyone is in awe.
I love that dunk at 0:49 and 2:56!
The Penny jumpstop hammer and the one hand windmill that only Dr. J and maybe Kawhi Lenard can do.

feel like another one.... FEEL LIKE ANOTHER ONE!!!!
When there's something in the air
And the earth is shaking
Something inside me knows
One heart went falling
A premonition in my bones
I can sense it, there it goes
Something about two lovers that changes the world
I can detect it
Seem to reflect it and I say
I feel it in my heart, well
Feels like another one
It gets me in my soul now
It feels like another one
When I look into your eyes
There's a reaction
And I don't need to know what makes it happen
I know I've been in love before
But love's a magic open door
And every time somebody reaches in my heart
I can detect it
I got to reflect it, I say
I feel it in my heart, yeah
Feels like another one
It gets me in my soul now
It feels like another one
I'm lost in the sauce by a force that I can't pause
When I come across the open doors that were yours
It's uncontrollable whenever I'm holding you
With a love that I feel as good as gold with you
So may I address you with a little bit of tenderness and
Togetherness it takes to form a relationship
You know the day that these feelings began I said then
It feels like another one
A premonition in my bones
I can sense it, there it goes
Something about two lovers that changes the world
I can detect it
Got to reflect it
I feel it in my heart, well
Feels like another one
It gets me in my soul now
It feels like another one
When you feel the reaction of physical attraction
And deep in your mind it's pure satisfaction
From the need of true companionship
And once you feel it inside your soul
Oh man you get captivated, elevated, rejuvenated
Fascinated, so many feelings it's hard for me to state
Cause no one can really defy
The power of love taking over and over
Comfort one another, lover to lover
No matter how you avoid it
It's still gonna uncover
When you can't detect it or reflect it
Don't try to neglect it
You gotta respect it

Kobe has style but, he really needs more basketbal skills to become Jordan´s shadow.
MJ vs Kobe and Lebron MJ would still win cause Kobe would join MJ's team and it would be a 2 vs 1 and Lebron would lose lol
