Taking online classes is a whole new reality. On one hand, you're able to manage everything better because you own your time now - your meal and bathroom breaks happen whenever you want, you don't have to commute or wear uncomfortable clothes for class, and you will never forget that textbook or notebook at home because, well, you're at home now.
The bad news is that managing your own time, despite its perks, also has a huge downside - you're now prey to your own faults and poor time management choices. Because of this, this semester, which could be one of the best of your life, may quickly turn into a nightmare.

I think the biggest problem I have with this whole online class thing, is knowing when to take a break. Unlike a lot of these study tubers. I don't have room for more than one desk (or more than one room to call my own for that matter) and for a lot of my assignments I use TH-cam as an educational resource. So ill be scrolling through youtube wanting to find something to watch while I eat my dinner and find a cool video that explains a topic really well for one of my assignments and then instead of actually taking a proper break im now working and eating. Then I get burnt out (as I am currently) and I don't want to do anything. And my burn out is almost like depression where I have no will power whatsoever. And my school work is the kind of stuff id be doing anyway if that makes sense. I'm a 3D animation major. And id be doing a lot of the art stuff anyway, which means there is absolutely no divide between anything.
One thing you can do is you can have multiple accounts. I'm not suggesting you go and make a new Google account, but you can actually have multiple TH-cam accounts/channels under one Google account. This allows you to have separate kinds of accounts which will have different recommendations based on what you watch. So if you have a study account it will be filled with study related content and your personal one will just be filled with things you enjoy on the home page.
I feel you about the desk, but perhaps you have access to your living room? Watching TV on the couch? If you really only have the desk then there isn't much you can do about that. Good luck!

Don't eat at your desk. Take a real break. Go for a walk if you can. When I worked in a production company I would use the lunch break to take a walk to the park and eat there. We had a 9-5 sched but nobody really followed that because it was more like we have a deadline to follow so it's come early and leave late. This is the nature of this career, some people thrive in this, some don't.

2. space disengagement- self control (a chrome extension which block certain websites), pomofocus (study timer)
3. get a headstart with tracking (set and track your time and tasks)
4. build a community (like on discord)

@@V.S.745 A lot of them get a lot of sponsorships and show off products (which is normal) but then also show off a lot of expensive stationery that they may say helps them to take notes better, and overall financially studytube tends to be a toxic environment.

Honestly, that was nearly my entire undergraduate experience. Because I loved the subject and I love learning on my own, I did a lot of my own research and started looking into graduate school/future career options that fit my research interests and my personal values. When you know you have a future purpose, it makes slogging through the crappy classes a bit easier imo :)
As a teacher, I’d recommend that you respectfully talk to your teacher about options to differentiate the class to challenge you more. (Make sure that you can show the material is actually too easy)
One of the best things you can do is try to relate what your learning to real life. I'm not sure what subject you are studying but you can usually take topics and try to find real-life applications that either you've experienced hands-on or seen in a movie or something. This can make the information more interesting and engaging

My uni deos on-campus teaching and I hope that it won’t change, although the predictions don’t tell this but I had online classes for the spring semester and I didn’t like it at all. I prefer commuting, dressing up and study in a more inspirational environment just don’t give us online teaching 🤞

Hi! So I'm a bit unsure of how to tackle #2. I live in a small apartment with SO and although I do have a separate room to study alone (he works/studies at the dinning table) there's nowhere else I could go with my computer. However, I actually have 2 separate operating systems on my PC. I use linux the most* for work related stuff but my video games only run on windows. I end up almost never using windows on a daily basis, BUT I thought that maybe I should migrate *all* my distractions to windows, as a way to avoid distracting myself while working (I also use an extension to block social media on working hours). I am afraid that this doesn't really solves the problem, and I'm open to suggestions!

Tenho o de 11’! O meu noivo tem o de 12’ e acho grande de mais para quem o quer ter dentro da mala e torná-lo um instrumento de trabalho mais portátil. O de 12’ é sem dúvida espetacular mas sinto que já não cabe dentro da típica mala de mão e que é mais “pesadão” quando está isolado nas mãos, sem ter um stand de secretaria.

I'm also taking online classes, but the downside is this term won't be graded and that depresses me a lot ;_; I also don't feel that urge to try my best in this semester anymore ._.
Grades aren't everything. What's truly important is how you learn and how you create your academic path. Everything you learn and memorise will be useful to you somewhere down the road, and can at least be shared with others. Think about school as a place to acquire experience and knowledge instead of the institutional way to achieve good grades 👌
