The days are getting colder and there's something about fall that makes me really excited to study, read, and overall just stay cosy while I'm learning new things. As some of you may know, I've been recently started taking online classes after work. Sometimes it's quite hard to balance a full-time job as well as a TH-cam channel and then still gather enough focus to sit down in front of the computer at the end of the day and actually pay attention to a lecture... but you know, with the right mindset, and feeling grateful about actually having the opportunity to still be a student, everything is possible.

When you said to be grateful to be able to still learn hit me because I was thinking the same. When I am sitting at my desk, have a lot of work to do, projects, stress for exams. I stop to think I am happy and grateful to be healthy and at home learning. Not many people can say that. It helps push through all of what is going on. Soon things will get better and back to what we are all used to.

A while ago, I started to notice that sometimes, I find productivity content stressful. There's this pressure in a lot of videos, to be the absolute best you can be, perfect even. But I don't find that with your videos lately. Instead, you give off this down to earth and very human picture of productivity. This video was also so very cozy, so it was actually even calming. Calming productivity, fancy that! I think that you´ve really started to embody the mindset of putting "the love of learning", above success and achievements. Thank you for that you keep developing and inspiring others to do the same 🙏🏻💕
Same! :') I cannot choose between taking notes on paper or digitally. It's so satisfying to write notes on paper but digital notes are faster to type. Huhu
I think is better to take digitally in lectures (cause is faster) and then write the notes down in paper (or digital paper eg.remarkable) for better understanding. Then i would make them more organized through RemNote for example
Yeah I do this too now. Lecture note taking digitally and making a summary / organised notes on paper!
My ipad has definitely been the answer for this! Love writing notes, especially because most of my classes are math/programming, but have the convenience of digital exporting and portability.

I am also in the middle of physical and digital note taking. Right now I take notes by hand during lectures and afterwards I summarize it in notion, it takes a little extra time but I cannot get away from pen and paper. It feels like I am more focused when I'm holding a pen haha! Great video as always :)

Pen and papernotebooks are very useful for studying. It will encourage you to engage in in-depth mental reflection on the subject. You'll become a more focused individual. Additionally, paper notes are very beneficial for test review and make you feel less stressed.

Hey Mariana, I really appreciate the tea and Forest tips! I'll definitely try them. One thing I like doing is taking my class notes and turning them into questions the next day when I'm reviewing the class. Have you tried this?
05:42 about taking notes on paper. in 2001-2005 i worked at a company as programmer, then laptops were expensive, so i didnt have one. additionally i was commuting for 3 hours between home and work (1.5 hours in each direction).
so during commute i was writing program drafts, task lists on paper .
the result was many pages of written paper, my backpack was full of paper sheets.
so basically since then i avoid paper, because over time one tends to lose it and its heavy to carry around.
I really got motivated by your videos

Where did you get the notepad? I really love it.
I just can't focus on my online classes that I usually go to sleep after the first 2~3 hours lecture.
And I have no idea on organizing the notes that have no keywords/sentence (the course just request you to memorize all)

I really struggle with retaining information and sometimes what notes I should take. Like should I write down everything that is given in the lecture notes or not and definitions kill me.
Well, I am a slow writer and if I fall behind, I make sure to write the main topic w/o definition so that I will just look it up later

Oof, I had tons of those "friends" at school, what I have learned through the years is basically ignoring them and let them ask somebody else... You may have some enemies after that but it is a lot better than wasting your time giving answers to people... I hope you find this helpful!

Good..I think you always love use teacnology too much.Ok, But I think pen and paperwork/papernotebooks are highly effective for study.It will push you to think deeply with your mind about the topic. It will make you more focusable person . And paper notes are really really helpful for exam revise and it's feel you stress-free. (Proved by science)Whatever, all person are different from each other.So, Do what works best for you.Stay home, Stay safe.
