Nice work Alec. I like all your “upgrades”. Though I would consider using as much 12v items I could especially with one battery (assuming minimal amp hrs) and only 40w panel. Also, factoring the loss of battery power running the inverter. All things you’ve probably already considered. 👍
I have considered these points but the few items we use are minimal. My batteries are very large (from my bulldozer) so i'm not worried. It's to be alone and not connected which the grandkids don't get. A
Hi Alec I wouldn't want any issues with the inspectors! That regulation about attached structures means your deck is a lawn structure not a building extension, I recall building a deck and the regulation said not larger than 100 sq ft so I made a two level deck to get around that. I like the electric hookup my only question is can it handle the large loads like your kettle or toaster oven for very long? 1000 watts draws 10 amps at 120 volt which would draw 100 amps from the 12 volt battery (approx numbers) ps I don't see any scuba decorations. Take care Owen m
Hi Owen. The batteries are very big so we have not hand any usage issues, even overnight. The wood stove takes care of heating (subject of the last video coming soon). Diana decorated it so no scuba, just a nice place to relax and watch the wildlife go by. Did you like the bears checking it out? A

Alec have you made the cabin into an Airbnb? My wife and I want to come and stay!!!
Too much hassle so I'm keeping it just for family and us.
