Not all wells have a pitiless adapter that is just for deep wells or people that don't know any better😊
Is genius!
Thank you very much for making this video, it clarified my ideas, very well explained, greetings and blessings
You’re very welcome! I’m glad it helped.
I thought this was norm McDonald for way too long into this video
A great man was Norm. I get that a lot for some reason. My wife says I sometimes sound like a nut. A
🕶👍
Thanks for watching. A
If you have a well with a pit less adaptor. You have a pit less adaptor. My well head is below the surface. It has a cap and 90deg. angle pipes through the cap. Older systems have jet pumps above the ground surface.
When I built this well, I made sure the adapter was at a depth my son (not me), could reach to pull it out. Working great for 20+ years. A
LOL i have to take batteries out and keep them inside in the winter -45f Nice dozer no ROPS is it from texas?I have never ran a dozer without rops?
Mine dozer is outside (no room in the garage for it), year round from +35C to -20C (you can convert it). Starts first time with the solar trickle charger. A
Dont forget to spin the cotter key under the clutch bell housing with a stick Rain water will full the clutch housing if you dont. My money saving tip for any 450 guys
Good idea for another video. A
Looks like the scope put the hammer on ya Alec.
That's my first scope bite in 40 years. See my previous video for the story. A
Great Video Alec ,,,270 very good Caliber .....
There’s a reason that caliber is popular. I took a lot of game with this rifle. A
Pretty BORING but inSIGHTful video 😂 yes sir, boring sights are a bullet and time saver. Thanks for sharing sir. Oh, and that forehead is looking better 😊
I'll try to be more entertaining in future videos but you're right, it's important to get this right.
@ 😄😄👌
Just keeping everything juiced... I actually have one of these on my old truck. I don't drive it so much anymore, but a dead battery is always a hassle.
Try 2 dead batteries for this beast. It's great to have at the ranch. A
The first one I ran. Looks awesome
It's still in good shape, keep it covered but outside. Always starts first turn summer or winter (with the solar charger). A
My 2 girls stay in moms barn. My 520 is used enough my b this weekend im planning to do some wrenching on and gonna charge it before hopefully trying to start her if wrenching is succesful. Both tractors have alternator conversions. I did my 520 like 4 years ago and she hadnt seen a charger since. Even boosted a stubborn bobcat i was using since my trk was hooked to a trl😊
Wish i could put mine inside but the really expensive toys go there. Used the dozer in the spring and started first time. These are a real money saver for me. A
Thanks. I’ve gotten some great tips from you.
I'm glad you found it helpful.
What oil do you run in the pump jack? I just restored one and plan to use it.
You may have to search around for it but try to find a straight SAE10 or SAE15, non-detergent motor oil. Good luck.
I feel your pain!....I had to buy same tool for a total different manufacturer ATV. Like you said if you can get to it with a tiny screwdriver it burns your hand and that tool really helps!
I have a drawer full of specialized tools for stuff like this that I only use once a year! Problem is when something breaks, it's the ONLY tool to fix it. A
@AlecPeirceAtTheRanch yep! Got to have them!
Alec, I want to be like you when I grow up. At 50 years old, getting our property optimized to save our backs is constantly on our minds. I am doing this project this year. Any code issues to be aware of? Just want it to be safe. Thanks.
The zero clearance firebox is standard and easy. Remember to insulate and tape the outside cold air duct. Other than that, no codes I have to worry about as the house was inspected with the fireplace when built. The cold air feed and new firebox was the only addition. A
@ Thank you so much! I need to start making videos. Have thought about it for years. Keep it up!
All this time I thought my wrenches were garbage. It turns out my technique was the garbage. Thanks for sharing!
It's amazing how a little tweak can make such a difference!
Thank you! We too had a quote from the pumper, and I too am handy around the house. I also began the research, came to the same conclusion as you, and I'll be making these same repairs this week. I appreciate that you shared this, along with your sketches, to reassure me that I can do this. 🙂👍
You are very welcome, it's good to know the sketches helped.
Drive it in barrel further work better
It goes far enough for kids fun. Don't want to over-load the barrel and burst it. A
Sir, great video! If I had to guess you should have been a teacher, great explanation. Thought about this very situation many times, never considered taking cold air from outside for the fire box, but definitely going to follow this guidance for my fireplace as the fireplace and chimney are actually on an exterior wall. Thanks for sharing!
I learn as much as I teach, especially when someone like you gives me positive feedback. Lots for you to learn and laugh at in my videos. A
😎👍👍
Thanks. A
Rainbow muscles didnt pull nothin 😂😂😂
Oh he did! That's why I needed him. A
@@AlecPeirceAtTheRanch funny you defended his help but not the rest! 🤣
Sorry about the scope bite. I bet you’re Right about the butt not being seated against your shoulder. Nice looking Ruger? You have there. Scars= stories. That’s for sure. My last one was an exploding cut-off disc on a 4” grinder. Left a mark. Thanks for sharing sir
Thanks for sharing your own ops mistake. Could have lost an eye. A
I wish you were my neighbor!
My neighbours are great friends and give me ideas for more videos. Welcome to move to Ontario, Canada but watch my winter videos first! A
Don’t forget the drink
Maybe I should add a 'soft drink' holder to the wheelbarrow. A
why did I never know about his channel... great video.
Thank you. Lots more to look over and laugh at. A
You look so proud when the hose is on. It is quite an amazing little contraption though. Something so cool about steam technology.
I've always loved steam, it's a very interesting technology. I also have a steam workshop which I may show soon. A
Ok where do i get it?
Check them out at www.wilesco.de, D305 Steam Fire Engine. Hope you find something fun. A
That's awsome 😮
Lots of fun. Sometimes even the grandkids get to play with it! A
@AlecPeirceAtTheRanch entertains all generations 😁 have fun with that 😁 Can this be bought anywere ?
I’ve got one of those Lincoln welders, it is a beast!
They really are. Mine is upgraded with a few nice features before it was repainted. Search my playlist for arc welder. A
"What do you think of that? " is honestly an insult! Of course I think that is cool af! 🔥🔥I'd get one for both of my nephews & one for me but I'm sure they are well above my paygrade
Check them out at www.wilesco.de, D305 Steam Fire Engine. Maybe find something you like. A
Nice! And to think if you’d made your own adapter it wouldn’t be that bright, easy to find, green color! No fires were started? 😮
None. Had a bucket of water and hose standing by. A
Awesome❤
I thinks so too. Fun for kids of any age. A
I had a steam machine with the boiler and the wheel, but this is by far the coolest version I’ve seen of this toy.
I love steam engine toys, but this one is really something special! I have another steam item to show in a few weeks. My steam workshop! A
I want one...
Visit www.wilesco.de for all their steam toys. I have lots. A
Pretty cool
They are lots of fun and maybe for little kids too. A
Toys for big, more “seasoned” boys 😂👍
I like the idea of 'seasoned' vs old and creaky. A
@ or cantankerous, decrepit or ancient 😂
Where did you get that tool
Amazon, search for 'pilot screw too' and lots of options will show up. A
Does the bolt need to stay in the new square hole until the metal cools completely to keep the hole from shrinking? If it does need to stay until cool, did you put a washer and nut on tightly to keep it from being forced out as the metal was cooling?
The hole might shrink a bit but not enough to be a problem. The carriage bolt has tapered edges so it will fit in easily. If the hole has shrunk slightly, the carriage bolt will pull itself in anyway. Alec
@@AlecPeirceAtTheRanch Thank you!
Great idea. I am going to do the exact same thing!
Glad you found it useful.
I highly doubt that many "Country Folks" have fireplaces for enjoyment only. City kin, perhaps. Nevertheless, This is a very interesting setup. Do you disassemble annually for sweeping the creosote?, Just finished sweeping 2 of three stove pipes on the farm, and, unless you go down from above, it looks a little tricky to avoid a chimney fire. We had one, and it is scary unless prepared. Also, you cannot have an active fire unattended in any US State, unless it is a propane or natural gas fireplace with an auto shut off installed. Still, I like the ingenuity and hope you and your family are nice and warm this winter.
I do annual flue pipe cleaning, watch my vides on this. It's cleaned right into the firebox. Nothing is taken apart unless it's broken. There are also videos on replacing fire bricks and doing a smoke check. A
🤟🏽
Thanks. A
@ No problem 🔥Strong Work 🔥
@ No problem 😉
Say my name
Will do buddy. A
Ryan looks like a peeled Space Marine.
Hi is a strong lad. A
Cool son and even cooler dad. This is the type of info not being taught to the younger generation. Thanks for the video!
Thanks, it's a dying art! A
Remember Ryan, these moments don’t last forever. Pops has a library of stories and knowledge. Good on you though.
Hope he keeps on learning like me. A
Can you invent one of these for m Alec? But for ice cream and potato chips? lol
Hmm, with a beer dispenser too? A
@@AlecPeirceAtTheRanch Nope! Neoprene only stretches so far! That's why I need the bars to keep me away from the chips and ice cream!😛🤣
I'll buy Diana a fancy chicken if you'll maje a short of you using a hula hoop in a 3 mil shorty. One of those old skool yellow one like you sold me 23 year ago!
Did you see my chicken tractor's? There are 2 from the very beginning to watch. A
@@AlecPeirceAtTheRanch Yup! Nice. Now back to you and hula hoops!🤣
