I don't care what anyone says, Volkswagen are beautifully built cars. They are the only manufacture to improve their build quality over the ears while other are cutting corners. Even the mk5 and mk6 golf are proving themselves with 150,000 miles and no problems being reported by several owners. Lovely car man, and an excellent video :)
There will be never car as good as MK iV. I owned one, and had none to minor probs. Good old golf.

Was slow as fuck, but i loved that driving experience
Not much power steering, no ESP or other electronic helpers

Nice! I had a Jetta Mk IV 2006 with an AXR and I put 270000km without problems. I sold it and bought a new one in 2013 with the same engine. Very reliable and economic.

I own a Golf Mk4 1.9. TDI 150HP, which has drove 384 000 km.
Wanted to sell it few months ago, but after watching few videos and considering diesel consumption, I understood it is impossible to get better car nowadays. However, the removal of rust will take some money, but when I repaint it, I imagine it will look as good as new. :)
You need to get a double din radio-navigator, they're great, and it makes the car looks much better.
I have a low-mileage 130PS model (2005), right-hand drive, six-speed manual. The bodywork isn't good (dented) but with less than 80,000 miles on the clock, I think we're going to have a lot of years together. Great car.

Hast du, um diese Laufleistung zu erreichen große Reparaturen durchgeführt ? Zum Beispiel Turbolader oder Einspritzelemente? Das sind ja so die Schwächen des Motors aber meiner hat im Moment 270.000 runter und alles ab werk.

I took my drivers license on a Volkswagen Golf mk4 1.9 TDI. It had over 550.000 km on it and it was still feeling good to drive. And the owner of it said that he was still reaching 200 km/h no problems on the highway. Reliable af I might say. I can't wait to buy one but the hatchback version. What do you think about the 1.6 16v enginge?

Should I get this as my first car boys? It has around 300k on the clock, broken bumper but fixable and its missing a muffler. Is it worth the little money? Or should I save up a little more and buy something newer such as a n old camry.
I would great cars I've got the same one in the vid, apart from new brakes all round and steering rack in the first year (careless previous owner) really can't fault it... would i have another if it packed up, bloody right!

Guys I got a golf 4 tdi.. having problems with limp mode. I know it's not the turbo. but everytime I take the car over 120km/h it goes into limp mode.. only when I switch the car off and then on the boost is back
egr valve maybe?

Which golf mk4 powered by TDI hasn't over 300 000km yet xD ? Its imposssible :D I have mk4 2001 and he has almost 300 000, very nice car with good performance :)
