Absolute disaster. Looks like a 1k graft transplant given how many grafts failed. But also the doctor shouldn't have been so aggressive given he's a nw6
I think reviews matter more than finding a board certified doctor. I had a failed transplant 8 years ago with dr James DeYarman who upon my search was one of the few best in California. It was a smaller 1200 graft procedure with about less than half growing in and some growing in different directions. They also killed some of my native hairs because they never grew back in some areas. I was on finasteride at the time to either prevent shock loss or make sure those hairs come back but didn’t. I had a few follow ups with the dr but when things didn’t improve they just never called me back to see how things were going. The last thing the dr ever said was “oh wow, you’re hair actually looks worse”. I fixed it later on somewhere else at half the cost. Do research before you choose any dr.
Thank you for mentioning the doctor, had similar situation but a botched nose job in San Francisco California. Got it fixed in Mexico by a fraction of the price in the USA was $5000 us and in Mexico for $800 by the way the Mexican doctor was far more professional than the American doctor
don't be fooled man, hair transplants are a meme, it's rare to see cases where they turned out good, most are thin and weird, this is common, it's a primitive technique, and basic math, you really think 2,500 to 5 thousand follicles are able to fill such an area:? even the blade being millimetric cannot make a perfect spacing, and if the person has to cover 2 temples, 2500 follicles is not enough for that, apart from that the donor area 90% of the time is devastated, and people who have transplants can only do it a one hairstyle, the hair all to one side
@Jfy Agreed 100%! Hair transplants are designed to give the illusion of density, the illusion of a full head of hair. Seems like lots of people are going in for a transplant expecting to come out with a full head of hair and their baldness cured. Thats not the case at all. In my opinion, transplants are simply not worth it. Sure, your hair might look incredible 1-year post-op, when all the new hairs have grown in, and drugs like minoxidil and finasteride are working perfectly. This is usually when dr's take lots of photos of their clients, advertizing them as "success stories." But this is extremely misleading because it is a temporary situation. Eventually, roughly 5 years down the road, you will develop a tolerance to minoxidil and finasteride and they will stop working. Then, your MPB will continue to progress. You will end up with a very strange and unnatural looking head of hair, that classic "botched" transplant look. Then you're back to square one... but now you are thousands of dollars poorer, have no donor hairs left for further transplants, and have scars all over your head. And youre STILL BALD! Anyone out there thinking of getting a transplant, save yourself time, stress, and money and just shave the damn thing off. Trust me, you will look 10 years younger and much more handsome and masculine with a shaved head. Every balding man looks better with a shaved head.
