I just started using MFP again. I used to be able to scan barcodes without being a Premium member, but it looks like they've changed that option. It will only scan with Premium.
Darn, that's a bummer! There are a few other macro tracking apps out there that may offer the barcode option for free, I'm just the most familiar with MFP.
I am disabled and I am in a wheelchair, I do go to physical therapy and I do exercise as much as I can. I guess I’m gonna turn MyFitnessPal back on. I had it for years, but I haven’t used it for years. Thank you.
Hi Lacey. Let’s say I want to eat a 50g serving of basmati rice. Is that uncooked 50g? Or cooked? I suppose the serving size would be uncooked right? So to make meal prep easy, we can cook 200grams and just divide by 4 to get that 50g serving right?
I just downloaded the My Fitness Pal app and started to explore its features. I found that I got overwhelmed quickly. I feel like I should just focus on tracking what I’m eating and portion’s. Also, when I’m searching foods, what does the green check mark shield mean?
It means that it's been verified by My Fitness Pal, although I still recommend double checking them to make sure they match the nutrition label to the food you are searching for.
I❤Lacey~ ANOTHER well explain video on how to understand the 'calorie tracking process'... BTW, perfect blend of background audio to your vocal dialog! Soooo many people get this wrong while editing their content.
Thanks much! When you say we should get a professional to help track are needs and daily fitness levels, what is this 'Professional' called? Is it a dietitian or some other medical professional? Sadly I don't trust the trainers at my gym.. Not sure why but I feel better walking into an official office and running numbers and such vs answering a few questions asked by a trainer at my gym. I don't think their advice would cater specifically towards 'my' needs. Thanks!
My goals are to maintain my weight (120-125lbs). MFP suggests eating 1700 calories per day, but I am struggling getting passed 1200-1400 without eating crappy foods. I'm trying intermittent fasting and I like it so far, currently doing 12/12 and slowly pushing my first meal back. Any suggestions about quick snacks that contain more protein and fat to get more calories?

Cronometer (sp) doesn't make you pay extra for bar code scanning.
