Very fascinating. As a U.S. citizen, the entire post 9/11 era and the horrendous treatment of fellow human beings by our government is a shameful, infuriating stage in our history. The dirt and blood on our hands will be judged very harshly, in a very hot light, by history. Mr. Begg, I am truly sorry you experienced what you did. I am embarrassed by the actions of our nation in their disregard for your humanity and that of others - Mohomedou Ould Slahi, Safiq Rasool, and Ruhal Ahmed, to name a few. I, like you, fear that Donald Trump, in his absolute ignorance, extreme narcissism, and utter disdain for those not pasty white and rich will result in further hardships for many, many more Muslims, Hindus, Mexicans, Africans, etc.... For the life of me, I can't understand why those who installed and carried out torture don't/can't connect the inevitable blowback - U.S. military personnel and citizens being tortured in kind. The Bush Administration established a terrifying precedent, ignoring decency and the Geneva Conventions the "Brumsfeld, Cheney and Yoo way".

A brother who I've known from his teens. Moazzam is one of the most knowledgeable, intelligent and caring person. He is ALWAYS trying to help people who are suffering and I'm absolutely shocked that a British born citizen can be kidnapped along with his family with him on trumped up charges because he is an humanitarian and helps people all over the world!!! Even after many years in Torture camps like Bagram air base and Guantanamo bay and I have to take my hat off to him because he is still hounded by many governments of the world because he dares to stand up to their tyrannical dictatorships where 100s of people disappear or held without charges. Moazzam has set up an organisation called CAGE which pays for lawyers and also has many human rights organisations and people who try and make sure that people get justice no matter where they may be in the world. I have to once again applaud the man and urge the public to support CAGE because tomorrow it could be one of us dragged into a blacked out vehicle and no one knows where you are!!! They have taken many of our rights and freedoms away under the "guise" of terrorism and when you define the word Terrorism in my opinion many of our western "advanced "countries are guilty of it CLEAR CUT Was the killing of Saddam Hussain morally right?? Was bombing the hell out of Baghdad and Iraq and killing millions of people NOT an act of Terrorism??? We are ALL being enslaved slowly and people are fooling themselves if they think things are getting better. Next time you go on a PEACE- NO WAR march don't be surprised if you get arrested for doing a peaceful March-- then you will be glad that Groups like CAGE exist and we MUST support it as much as we can. God bless you brother Moazzam and keep up the hard work.👍💯💚

Prophet Mohammad ( pbuh) is prophet of peace. He preached what Almighty Allah revealed to him.
He preached that there is no God except Almighty Allah and worship Him alone without making any one His partner.
He very clearly told the people that he is a man like others but Allah selected him and made him His last prophet for all humanity not for the Arab only.
His duty was to convey the message of Almighty Allah to His slaves ( the people). Now it is up to them to accept his messages or reject it.
They are given freedom to accept Islam or reject it. But they must choose the right path of Almighty Allah otherwise they will accountable for their wrong choice.
The people of Mecca not only refused to accept his messages but they teased him and made it very difficult to live in Mecca therefore he and his followers migrated to Medina.
His calling for Islam was peaceful and based on peaceful dialogs.
In fact he was for peace in the world.
Almighty Allah bless all of us and guide us to the right path which leads to the Al-- Jannah ( the paradise).

    ISLAM IS FOR ALL
    Almighty Allah says:
و ما ارسلناک إلا رحمة للعالمين
We sent thee not,but as a mercy for the worlds.(for all creatures).
There is no question now of race or nation of a " chosen people" or the seed of Abraham or the " seed of David"; of Jew or Gentile, Arab or non--Arab, European or African, White or Coloured etc.
To all men and creatures other than men who have any spiritual responsibility the principles universally apply.
LO ! RELIGION WITH ALLAH IS ISLAM
إن الدين عند الله الإسلام و من يبتغ غير الإسلام دينا فلن يقبل منه o
Islam is دين الله (Way of Life given by Allah). How mankind should live in this world. It is not made by Muslim. It has it's root in Qur'an and authentic حدیث (sayings of Prophet) Therefore Islamic laws are better than any other law of the world.
Problem of Europe is that it does not understand this very important fact. They think that theirs law is better than Islamic law.
    Almighty Allah says :
The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Mighty, the Wise.
Lo! We have revealed the Book unto them (Mohammad) with truth; so worship Allah, making the Deen pure for Him (only).
Surely pure Deen is for Allah only
    (Qur'an,39:1-3)
Kindly make your mind clear that the the mankind is created by Almighty Allah -- the Master Creator.
We have to study and research the Holy Qur'an sincerely. It is in broader interests of humankind.
Follow Islam to make your life better in this world and in the life of Hereafter.
O Allah show us the right path of Islam.
" The path of those whom Thou hast favoured; Not (the path) of those who earn Thine anger nor of those who go stray".

They themselves adhere to a different belief, why would you think of them to be Muslim, if they don't do it themselves ?
      This is like asking:
Why do you call Buddhists non-Muslims, what is your criteria and please don't quote Wikipedia ?
Only because you never heard of their religion, doesn't make them automatically Muslim.
Or because the speaker accidentally or unknowingly called them Muslim, doesn't make it so. Unless he was talking about people who converted to Islam from the Yazidi community.

Even a deaf pigeon can properly figure out what Mr M. Begg is saying at any giving time, meanwhile he's talking English with genuine British accent.
Unlike many of nowadays British public figures that often exaggerate their supposedly English language British accent; ending up having to repeat themselfs in public.
In spite that 99% of the nowadays British people unknows the real history of the composition of their national flag; it doesn't justify any attempt against required civilized posture, to call it a country with approved flag and constitution.

I don't think any sensible Muslim would want Sharia in a country where Muslims are a minority. I've seen some of the Muslim clerics even ridiculing this idea as absurd. Of course can't say about the crazy extremists of Wahhabism.
But even if someone supports something like that, that doesn't justify a punishment like what Begg got. One may well be against or in favour of capital punishment, when proven guilty, but here things are totally going inquisition style

    • @ahmedakhan1
      @ahmedakhan1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Response to Roxee57 In the Quran there is no capital punishment for apostasy, homosexuality, blasphemy and adultery. There is no prohibition on music and no segregation of sexes or even any requirement for women to cover their heads.Stoning is not a Quranic punishment. The problem is that many versions of Shariah laws are based on interpretation of medeival Islamic scholars or hadiths whose authenticity is in almost all cases doubtful. In fact the Quran mandates capital punishment in only two cases, murder and terrorism. In the case of murder it is possible to escape capital punishment if the victim's family forgives! In the case of illicit sexual relations the punishment is 100 lashes for the offending parties. However, the evidential requirement is very high as there must be four witnesses to the actual act! Compassion is the guiding principle of the Quran and Allah's most mentioned quality is mercy!
