- The Finals is officially out, and I have been playing it so much, it's so fun! So for all you noobs out there that want to get better, here are 50 tips for The Finals! Enjoy!

My tip: when you are cashing out, find all the barrels around and put them near the cashout-station to get some more "explosive defence"

If you have a cashout on one of those floating boxes, stand on the neighboring box or a nearby rooftop and NOT on the box where the cashout is. Most players will suffer from tunnel vision and go straight for the cash, while you and your team can beam from a distance.
(Also remember to destroy all zip lines and jump pads so they can’t go up)
Another tip for launching the red canisters; You actually have a 3rd way of launching them!
If you *melee* it, it'll fly off with a shorter fuse time and explode immedeatly on contact with surface (unless hitting it at a really low angle). It might fly a little bit to the side though! So less accurate. Just make sure you don't have a mine or c4 attached to it already if you melee it, [catchphrase here].
Also, don't forget you dont necessarily need to bring a pyro grenade to deal with gas. Just grab one of the orange barrels from the map!
Attaching an APS turret to an object you're carrying around will make it a moveable shield against explosives.

Also throwing that mobile aps destroys all placeables on the way, like mines, rockets or nades, so you can use one to clear out cashout or mined teammate statue

1. if you hold tab in the character selection menu before the game starts, you can see what classes the other enemies are on the left side. 2. you can have multiple weapons in your reserve slots.

Tip 1, was that an old tip? U can see the other teams in the beginning of each game without pressning any buttons. It says their name and what kind of caracter they are.
Tip;
You can break the zip lines and ladders with 2 melee hits and not just by shooting them
It’s actually a lot faster anyways and if an enemy appears behind you, you actually have ammo to kill them
The way Light's dash works is by first redirecting the current player velocity to the way you're headed, and then temporarily adding onto it. In practice, this allows you to use a jump-pad and immediately after getting the momentum from it, dashing in your desired direction, going very fast. hope this was interesting.
Sorry, but it actually stops all momentum then pushes you in the direction you are imputing. So if you dash into a jump pad you go flying, but if you dash right after hitting the jump pad you just get a janky dash
@supersloth762 just from the way the gamemechanic looks from 3rd person, I can tell you that this is (probably) not the case. Besides, just from a programming standpoint, coding the mechanic to store your velocity, then stopping you, and then adding velocity on a per-tick basis, is just... stupid. Again, not saying you're wrong, but it does seem like you're right either.
@aDog420 Thats just something i’ve noticed with how the game works. When you hit the JP, then dash right after, you just end up dashing from slightly higher, and when i tried programming a dash for my game, i made it set your velocity, instead of adding on to it, giving the same effect. I suppose I could’ve reworded that since it doesn’t really stop you, just set your velocity to a lower amount, then raises it later.
When hitting an enemy with the tracking dart for the medium, it will give your whole team the position of the enemy. Also pair it with recon senses. It works fantastic in combination
What's the point if you already have recon, seems like a waste

The finals is such a refreshment to the gaming industry(fps) this game is made to be fun and is the only game I will still laugh after i have lost

Another tip: you can shoot the buttons for vridges and elavating platforms to activate them, this is nice when a team is camping a cashout on a elavating platform and you cant get close
macro needs to become a commentator on this game that would be amazing

Another tip: you can merge all the vaults available into the same cashout box. Even when its in progress. In turn, it will increase the cash pool by twice its value (most of the time). It's risky but whoever wins it is ensured a spot in the next round

i played the beta and it was pretty fun i just got the actual release and its so fun online multiplayer games needed this
I would totally love more content for this game! I've been really enjoying this game
You forgot one thing.. Please use USE the ping system.. Let your team know where enemies are, if you need help, which cashout station you're heading to (if you're the one holding the cash), etc. Most players don't know this exists because it's set to the awkward middle mouse button. I have thumb keys on my mouse so I set ping to one of them for easier access.

I’m glad you mentioned the ai thing because I’ve listened to ai voices a lot and I noticed the male announcer sounded just like the voice that AI does for everything for some reason.
They used a real voice actor for the announcer, they just have ai put his sentences together so that the team names get announced. I don’t like ai at all but noob was clearly just making a bandwagon joke for the vid

I love how you never feel like you were killed unfairly. At least for me personally. I always feel like I get outplayed, even when I don't think what they did should work, Im impressed they managed to do so. Such a fun game
Macro is actually the best. I haven’t heard anyone else mention some of the tips he did.

Aps turrets BLOCKS ROCKETS FROM THE BOTTOM
When using melee weapons and after confirmed hits you can quick melee immediately for bonus damage. Works super well for charged sword attacks or wracking a Light with a light sledge hammer hit.
Stalling the cashout box is one of the most underated and the highest tips i have. Letting the timer run down if you have placement is a better strat than letting another team take cashout halfway in progress along with you placement
Stabbing the enemy with the dagger from behind when you are the light class deals 320 damage I think and in combination with the invisibility this is easier to accomplish

if you slide out of an angled jump pad while sprinting you can keep your momentum and bunny hop towards the end of the slide, or just bunny hop immediately after landing, you can bunny hop a few times just losing momentum while doing so
While you're flying through the air you can hold W and A or W and D keys while holding shift and you will strafe through the air, it will make you fly a lot further if you do it right
Hell yeah, I wanna see more The Finals vids! I'm getting a ps5 soon and I want to know what I'm doing, because this is gonna be the first thing I download
Tip: While in and you have the sword equipped you can hold right click and it wont deactivate your invis until you release, so a good combo on enemies who arent moving that much is hold right click then swing normally for a better burst of damage.

Would love to see a 'for noobs' of all three classes
For lights: Run cloak + stun. It can be hard to deal with you, especially if your enemies are already engaged with someone else. Shotgun does excellent damage but MP5 can be useful for more range, shutting down enemy cloakers, or if your aim isn't that great. Keep in mind that being shot will deactivate your cloak, so automatic weapons will counter you. Dash can be more useful than cloak if you want to be more mobile than stealthy. You can dash with trophies to escape for revives.
Medium: All specializations have a niche but healing beam is most consistent. AK is great vs crowds because of large mag, the FCAR does more damage but needs to reload frequently and has aggressive recoil. Jump pads and defibs are a must. Stay at medium range because if anything gets close to you it'll probably kill you. Listen out for cloakers and heal your bois after defib. Mines and grenades are good at maintaining distance to enemies.
Heavy: Mesh shield for defense, slam for offense (it does 130 damage on hit!!!), goo for utility. Sledge is useful for player and building destruction. Shotgun and Lewis are the best close/medium range options. Use 10-round bursts on the Lewis at long range (recoil is straight up for the first 10 shots, so pull straight down, easy 250 damage). RPG is great by itself, C4 is great for nukes (they do insane damage). Dome shield for revives/captures. Barricade can sub for dome shield while you're waiting to collect VRs.
Overall just play what feels good and recover your teammates when applicable. Revives are everyone's job, not just the Medium's.

this is literally me. im in LOVE with the finals but i suck ass
#20 better tip is to melee them. its a 2 hit melee from any class to destroy ziplines. much faster than shooting
If your being chased with the cashbox and waiting for your team to respawn a good tip to buy time. If you throw the cash box off the map it will respawn all the way back where you originally got it forcing players to have to back track. Giving your team time to respond.
Tip: as heavy if you need to protect someone rezing or stealing the cash point you can use bubble and mesh shield to protect them better
Another tip: use the rpg as a secondary weapon (as heavy)

Great video but I think the ai announcer thing will be good in the long run. Maybe they’ll be able to do dynamic announcers or something cool like that which is the only thing I can think of for why they would choose ai in the first place
Keep making finals content and also, here’s a rip for the “nuke” strategy, play heavy over light as while they both have bombs with remote detonation the heavy can throw items further making for a even longer ranged nuke.
You forgot about the smoke ones which are very fragile, more rare, and make smoke. You can also use any fire device such as the thrower to burn hoo and gas. and if you throw it vertically, the goo canister will explode upwards/downwards and in a ball if blown up by shooting at it

All very good tips but there are some tips that lack information. For example the floating platforms hooks, yes you have to break 2 of them but they have to be next to eachother

Favorite tip for lights: the stun gun can interrupt an enemy from stealing a cashout. Super useful when it’s about to finish

Tip 52 kinda, you can use the dematiliazer idk if I spelled it right, you can use it if the cash out is in height and your under it and it will fall down then close it and it’s kinda a free cash out if you have a turret or a teamate

Tip: if you shoot a breakable object enough, it will break (takes a long time tho). Good tip for lights if you don't have c4.
The Finals reminded me of Mirror's Edge a lot and when I started to search I found out why :)
My tip: If you are tired of being destroyed by invisible lights, Run the recon senses ability on the medium class. It works through walls and sees everyone, invisible or not!
If you are doing this please communicate enemies' location to your team. It will make up for losing turret/healing beam.
Just listen at yourself. "Use wallhacks to beat invisibility". How about realising none of that garbage should be in an online shooters and just uninstall.

The announcers may be ai, but they hired VAs to train said AI, morally correct imo

My tip is please for the love of God. Stop using melee unless you're really good. I hate getting light teammates who try to knife people in the back and just end up dying. Good video Macro love to see em
You can place your jump pad next to the fixed jump pads in the game for jumping from area to the other. People will not under that it's your jump pad in front of the jump pad on the map and they will jump but not high and far enough to cross the cliff
My tip for heavy. You can use his barriers to mantle up to higher areas you wouldn't usually be able to as heavy
my tip since i've used a lot of mines in different games is, NEVER place the mines around the cashout at the start. no one feels rushed to steal it so they have a far greater chance at shooting it before they hit an enemy. but less time means more panic which means enemies will rush more. another reason for this is you can use the enemy gas mines against them if they place it down at the start. i destroyed their own gas mine set up from some range and got 2 free kills.
When a persons hiding in a goo box LIGHT IT up especially when there trying to get the cash box they'll have to get out of there making your box safe 👍
Don't forget you can do one or two bunny hops after a jump pad and slide to go a little further, you can use the heavy mesh shield on a zipline, and the light quick dash + sword combo is DEADLY ( havent played myself seen teammates just destroy with it ). FCAR has less bounciness when firing compared to AK for mediums, Throwing Knives are very powerful and underrated, the heavy's shotgun 4 shot minireload animation can be canceled by meleeing.

The video we all needed
What me and my friends did before qualifying for the final round of the tournament. At first we were gonna qualify with a full medium team with 2 medics and 1 turret, so instead what we did was help an all light team with cloaks qualify by literally throwing the vault into their cash out and teamwiping the all medium team. We didn't win that round but we won the tournament cause my friends were recon sense mediums so the invs lights couldn't do anything against us.
tip for the light user if you want to be literally a damage dealer in your team as a light class use a sword with a combination of dash ability, i swear god men you gonna love it but the downside of it, it takes a lot of practice to master it because you need pay attention how many dashes did you use because that will help you to rash forward to the enemy and to escape too even though it's hard to use it, its worth it, once you master it that's all
Tip: if you're running Light with cloak, keep your ears open for the sound that Mediums's Recon Ability makes, most people think only Sonar Grenade makes a sound but that's not true, if you hear that sound, they know where you are.

Tip 52# you can’t place a jump pad on glass but you can place it on the metal bars
Tip #52: use the light's stungun on enemies who are stealing a cashout/depositing to instantly cancel their steal (also works on people when they're rezing)
If your cashout is on top of the building then put c4 on it and when you see that enemy is stealing your cash and you're kinda far cant reach him or maybe cant stop him then use the c4 that you already got on cashout
By this the enemy may not die (depends on the direction and class either its heavy or light)
But this will destroy the floor and steal would stop and cashout would fall down
tip #38 hits hard
you should do a weapon overview of how best to use every weapon
My tip:
When you're trying to revive your teammate, you can pick up their statue and revive them somewhere safe. Also remember to right click when you're trying to drop it because if you left click you're gonna end up launching it.
