Government and municipalities should run sponsored buses and tours. That's what other countries do. Every municipality gets a budget to give opportunities to the disadvantaged. Like swimming lessons. Days out. Problem is this budget comes from taxes on the working. Too many are not working. It's easy to scapegoat the middle and upper classes but actually they are contributing according to income. It is up to Government to create jobs and to do that it must be trustworthy enough to for businesses to invest and in so doing create jobs. The ANC is not that unfortunately.
Yes it's unfortunate that income disparity is getting worse and worse. The sad thing is that the people believe that ANC actually care about them when the reality is all they care about is their vote once every 4 years and then are forgotten about. As long as the top dogs in ANC keep stealing billions, the country will never recover and even CPT will become like JHB.

About the food cost here in Cape Town, it honestly depends on where you maybe shop and foods you tend to eat. Thanks for sharing Steven! I remember reading about Capetown SA when I was in high school. It was a few years after SA free election and President Nelson Mandela was in power. I was super shocked to learn how Dutch segregated native Africans in the land. I’m forever grateful for being the strange “nerd” girl because National Geography and Ebony/Jet magazines among many others kept me abreast of the world.
My man, you captured this story very well, and as a proud South African, I wish you all the best in your future endeavors. You are a great storyteller. Wode Maya can learn a lot from you.
Some Africans and unnecessary comparism. Wode Maya will not learn anything. Both are portraying Africa from different views. Steven is doing real estate, lifestyle and living videos. Wode Maya is only showing the positive side of Africa. Learn the difference.
@@nanabujukwame4908 he's saying this because Wode Maya portrayed SAns in a negative way which left a bad taste in a lot of SAn months. But I think it's time to let it go seeing that this was three years ago.
Please note, house prices in Cape Town is ridiculously high !!! Compared to Johannesburg, because it’s coastal. Fuel in Johannesburg is 10 cents more expensive because it’s inland, which will make your shopping more expensive than Cape Town. As for crime, just my opinion, I have never experienced crime in Johannesburg as the crime in Johannesburg is more high profile I think, in Cape Town there’s more petty crime compared to Johannesburg. However, Cape Town does have a gang problem and it depends where you live in Cape Town
Calm down😂 The safety issues are in the lower socioeconomic environments where you probably have no reason to go unless you’re looking for trouble😂 Look at the city, the people are friendly and enjoying their best lives. Bad areas are in most cities all over the world. I never felt unsafe in Cape Town or Pretoria. It was an amazing vacation (and I did a safari at Balulue Game Reserve outside Kruger National Park). I can’t wait to return for many more visits. ❤️💫🌍
Great job bro! I love the vid and most of what was covered I'd say is accurate with the exception of the crime rate. Crime and specifically violent crime is extremely high in Cape Town. For tourists within the CBD and perhaps the outskirts of the CBD or tourist hotspots, yeah, there you'll find lots of security and police patrol, even civilian clothed undercover cops. Ask yourself why there is so much security? Once you come to the Cape Flats you'll understand. Our people live in abject poverty with a government that once stood for the people, now are the very criminals that the people need to be protected from. Widespread government corruption with little to no accountability. Just take a look at our electricity crises which was completely avoidable as they knew about it even back then when Mandela and the ANC took over. I agree with the lady who spoke about how foreigners make a living for themselves, coming over with so little and now are living better than the locals because we, as the locals have been so conditioned to believe that we can't or to accept that there are no opportunities. Anyways, I believe that we can and will turn this nation around and back to godly principles and that justice would prevail. I love my country; I love my city. I had and still have the opportunity to leave the country and make a better life for myself and my family like so many others have done. If we all do that then who will stay and stand up for this nation, for the vulnerable? Nah, I think I'll choose to stay and try and do my bit to make a difference.
Another tourist murdered in Feb, they have the guys who were in possession of his belongings, still no body. So Sad. Cape Town has become a very very sad place. Its all just window dressing at this point, Cape Town is to small and poor to accommodate all the immigration as well

South Africa is the most beautiful country I have ever seen. I just visited and found it to be so so so beautiful. However, the severe economic disparity was very vary scary and sad. South Africa has the best of everything but the socio economic situation and the continued segregation seems dangerous. You can see the segregation when you go to nice restaurants and coffee places. You only see Whyte people in these nice places. Blak people mostly seem to eat at fast food places. It is also weird to see that people of different races don't socialize or even talk much to each other. I left SA feeling very angry about how the colonizers destroyed this beautiful place.
Lol you said the colonisers destroyed this beautiful country/place ???? The Whites were guilty of Apartheid in the past, but today it’s the ANC African government that’s guilty of f….cking the country up - the ANC does not run the city of CT and that’s the reason why CT is the most organised and safest city in SA . Facts 💯
@@jacksonogwindi1653 Well it was set up by the colonizers for the indigenous people to destroy themselves. The people there have been suffering too much trauma for hundreds of years, It does a huge damage. I am not sure if this damage can be completely healed. I understand the psychological damage done by the colonists because I am a descendant of slaves from Jamaica and I lived for most of my life in the USA. As long as the colonizers are alive and in power the trauma continues. We, the descendants of 5lavery, in the Americans are suffering from PTSD and so are the indigenous South Africans.
The Western cape is the place to be in SA, personally I'm a bushveld kinda guy so I'd love it to live in Limpopo if it was economically more stable and socially stable but it's falling apart and I don't think that it'd work for an accountant to live there in somewhere like flippen Lepalale
I want to visit. But that DIVISION is scary 😱 For me because I’m African American I live Los Angeles California in the USA And we deal with extreme racism here (EVERYWHERE in America) If you drive in the wrong area you will see IMMEDIATELY And I think for most of us as African Americans see the continent of ours as A refuge from oppression in our current country so to see that somewhere else is discouraging …. Because up until now I’m like I just have to get over my fear of flying
We share a similar history but blacks are the majority and government here. There's a lot of upward mobility here but 1994 ( first democratic elections here) was not long ago so we've still got our challenges and, each province tells a different story and offers a different experience.
Nigerians like you have the tendency of looking down upon other Africans, unfortunately South Africa is proving that Nigeria and its people are just proud for nothing.. SOUTH AFRICA is the Giant of Africa, 😂

Fantastic content, educational, beautifully shot and edited! Way to go Steven, thank you for sharing this, it is a kicking off point for our own travels there later this month. So excited to film in the area, it seems like there is so much to cover 🙂
Good luck 💪
Thanks for sharing Steven! I remember reading about Capetown SA when I was in high school. It was a few years after SA free election and President Nelson Mandela was in power. I was super shocked to learn how Dutch segregated native Africans in the land. I’m forever grateful for being the strange “nerd” girl because National Geography and Ebony/Jet magazines among many others kept me abreast of the world.
Hello
So reading 'National Geographic' was considered 'nerdy'?
Love Cape Town hope to visit there one day
Cape Town is painfully expensive and unaffordable, especially for locals. Only tourists and expats find it to be affordable.
True that
Maybe its because you don't have money its not cheap but its affordable...
@@reantai7101 lol okay.
My favourite city in South Africa. Along with Durban.

I was in Capetown for 10 days. I enjoyed every bit of it. I am considering moving over permanently.
@Nana Buju Kwame you have issues with South Africans, I see... drink milk and sleep. Your Wode Maya produces trash sensational content.

Beautiful tour of Cape Town and nice showing where the rich people and poor people live. I like the view of the mountain and the sea.

South Africa is beautiful, and you did good with this video, it was clear and well done. Now I’m moving better for my student exchange to Cape Town. 🔥
Let me know you go there..
the production quality ❤🚀🔥
No one is denying its beauty but I need to feel absolutely safe at all times
Calm down😂 The safety issues are in the lower socioeconomic environments where you probably have no reason to go unless you’re looking for trouble😂 Look at the city, the people are friendly and enjoying their best lives. Bad areas are in most cities all over the world. I never felt unsafe in Cape Town or Pretoria. It was an amazing vacation (and I did a safari at Balulue Game Reserve outside Kruger National Park). I can’t wait to return for many more visits. ❤️💫🌍
Any plans to visit Malawi? Simple country, but amazing people and some beautiful places as well

Great content brother , cape town is beautiful with such amazing view .
Congratulations on a 5 star video presentation and representation 👏
Cape Town is most expensive city in South Africa
Overrated with little opportunities
100 rand for breakfast it way expensive but it always about what you want to eat , I live in Cape Town for 12 year then move back to my home country
Cape Town my hometown 🇿🇦❤️
Cape Town and South Africa is amazing
Its all just window dressing at this point, Cape Town is to small and poor to accommodate all the immigration as well
You did a great job filming the beauty of Cape Town.
Omo, Mr Steven you're 🔥🔥🔥. Your contents are absolutely beautiful. Keep it up man 🙌👍✌️
I love South Africa.. I spent 9years there.
Most developed country in Africa is not a joke south Africa👏👏👏👏👏
@INFONAIJA 247 nobody ask you to explain anything 😏
@INFONAIJA 247 fun fact almost every country in Africa was colonised!..it isnt our problem that u guys run ur countries down to the ground after ! And now u HV pathetic comments to say like this one!
Nope if you want real history come here in South Africa we will give you one the European History. And those cities where build by Black South Africans they enslaved us work without pay.
If I may ask you who build Europe it is still Black People again.

The quality of the video!! I'm impressed.
It was interesting to hear people’s perspectives, I didn’t know Cape Town had poverty. I never really heard anyone speak of it
Oh well, same here until
I visited
Ignorance, every place has poverty even Dubai
@@StevenNdukwu you have to speak about, don't make other people who hasn't been there think it's easy to make it in cape town
You serious?!!!! Even New York has lots of poverty.
LA is really bad. People can be employed but still homeless
This city is absolutely amazing!
Did you visit Cape town or Johannesburg?
Lol you said the colonisers destroyed this beautiful country/place ???? The Whites were guilty of Apartheid in the past, but today it’s the ANC African government that’s guilty of f….cking the country up - the ANC does not run the city of CT and that’s the reason why CT is the most organised and safest city in SA . Facts 💯
I live there too but I think it's the colonizers but the people there themselves destroying each other now.
@@Tebstechpodcast
I visited both places.
@@jacksonogwindi1653
Well it was set up by the colonizers for the indigenous people to destroy themselves.
But that DIVISION is scary 😱
For me because I’m African American I live Los Angeles California in the USA
And we deal with extreme racism here (EVERYWHERE in America)
If you drive in the wrong area you will see IMMEDIATELY
And I think for most of us as African Americans see the continent of ours as A refuge from oppression in our current country so to see that somewhere else is discouraging …. Because up until now I’m like I just have to get over my fear of flying
Wow
We share a similar history but blacks are the majority and government here. There's a lot of upward mobility here but 1994 ( first democratic elections here) was not long ago so we've still got our challenges and, each province tells a different story and offers a different experience.
There are so many more countries in West, East and central Africa, if you don't want to visit SA.
@@mola3845 I understand that
I meant in oppression in general SA was just a example
Honestly depends which city u want to live in, because Cape Town is one of the only places in SA with extreme racism
Wow, Capetown is now on my list to relocate to.
And someone comes tell me I should immigrate to Nigeria 🤣😅,
SA is everything 🔥🤞💯
Why always nigeria? There's other African countries out there always mention nigeria get a life 🙄
Nigerians like you have the tendency of looking down upon other Africans, unfortunately South Africa is proving that Nigeria and its people are just proud for nothing.. SOUTH AFRICA is the Giant of Africa, 😂

Yes, there are power blackouts which is called loadshedding. There is a schedule when the power cuts happen. So you will be prepared.
