Big waves for us on the east coast would be 10-feet. I live 4 miles from the Atlantic and absolutely love the ocean. It is both beautiful and terrifying. Wave videos are some of my favorite videos, so this one is right up my alley. I did live in Washington State for 3-years in the 80s, so I have seen the Pacific as well. This is a great video. Thanks for posting, Gee Bee.

Thanks, the ocean is awesome, even when it's scary. It can go from calm and flat to massive. Glad you enjoyed it!

Waves can travel thousands of miles before breaking on a shoreline, island, or reef. Those waves have traveled right across the Pacific and could have originated some 5100 miles away off the coast of Japan and even further the Philippines at circa 7000 miles.

    Wow! Knarly waves!,
What kind of mushrooms were those at the end?
