I have family that lives in Mendocino. My aunt owns a construction company in Fort Bragg. My “pop” grandfather was a commercial fish boat owner out of Noyo Harbor. They lived on the mountain overlooking the entrance to the Noyo Harbor back in the 1970s. And my Aunt was married to the boat owner of the Sea Wolf, Arnold, with his 2 kids back during the same time. I have been showing my wife these videos and planning to visit the Salmon Bake in July 2026. I was at the very first and want to share the experience with my wife. Thanks for your videos which is a call to visit around where I grew up when I was really young.
I'm glad I brought back good memories. My next video will be a drive about the boat yard with emphasis on the docked boats. The FV SeaWolf is still active in Fort Bragg although with no Salmon Fishery I don't know how active.
@ Keep up with the videos, my new friend! They bring up great memories for me from a toddler to age 13 as I visited quite often for whole Summers almost every other summer. I remember being on a horse in Mendocino when a woman ran out of her house screaming “Elvis is dead! Elvis is dead!” Those moments in time that are seared into memories.
