I didn't expect to watch the whole video but your voice was so pleasant and you made the project look easy that I made it to the end. Thank you young lady for the video.
You have a very gentle, teaching style and a calm voice. Your little dog is so cute and obviously felt totally relaxed in your presence. Your long cardi looked great on you. Some of the people in the comments seem new, so it might be nice to add some helpful diagrams or pattern instructions to help them. Even if you just draw on paper and add it in as a screen shot. I have some experience beyond beginner and it was difficult to follow the part around the neck and I think I would have to do this myself to completely figure it out.
@@Ghfranshatub I didn’t finish it 😭. Couldn’t figure out how to do the sleeves. But I recently learned how to do a shrug so now Ik how to do sleeves. So I think I’m going to go back and finish this one!!!
I am going to attempt this cardigan for my 8 year old. Will def make some adjustments. But this cardigan tutorial did not give me anxiety lol. Project number 2 this week! Thank you🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽

I just completed this cardigan for my future daughter-n-law and can't wait to see her reaction. I'm just a beginner and you made this very simple for me Thank you so much
Excellent cardigan tutorial! How you make the decreases on the wrist and then crochet the rib directly on the sleeve is so clever. It's less bulky than sewing a strip of rib on later.❤
Love this pattern so much and your voice! I’m making it now and starting off with a foundation half double crochet because I hate crocheting back into the chain! Will update when I finish, potentially with pics because I’m adding some color changes to fit my personality 🤘🏻
I finished!! I followed your guide and it's a bit small for some reason but maybe it's because of my stitches? I dunno I'm still kinda new but i love it! I'm gonna add pockets and wear it cause where I am it's still warm!!
I love everything about your video. It's so calming and exactly what I needed. Love your pattern and checking out your other videos. Please don't change. I can't handle the ones that talk about their entire life before they ever get to the crochet pattern and are really hyped up. Your voice is so calming. Thank you!
When you said at the beginning that you were going to cut it in half, I nearly didn't watch until I realised that you meant you were going to half the number of stitches. Great pattern. I love how the cardigan drapes.
Omg I am so grateful for you. I have been trying to figure out how to make a cardigan for my daughter and you have made it so easy to figure out. Do you have a hoodie to go with the cardigan? My daughter wants a hoodie cardigan. I appreciate you so so much
I’m still pretty new to crocheting and I’m so happy I found a cardigan tutorial that was just one color. I started this halfway through another project. I’m positive this will turn out well and I can finish it before the weather starts cooling down. I will update later! Thank you!
Its two panels though, and suoer easy pattern, so thank you for sharing. I got loss at the neck instructions though 😮🤷🏾♀️😭 You can also crochet the pieces together with slip stitch instead of sewing together.
I bought a long cardigan years ago and it quickly became my favorite, but it needs replaced. I knit and I crochet but I've always been too intimidated to try a sweater. Your one panel cardigan has me thinking that is about to change. :) No complicated measurements, no complicated pattern, I can easily make it big enough to fit my thick body......who can ask for more????
You are soooo awesome for making this tutorial, seriously thank you💗💗💗💗💗 going to make this for my momma as a gift, gonna do a thinner fluffy yarn for a winter warm cardigan🥰
Hello, this is BEAUTIFUL! Thank you for putting this video into the world. Question- How many yards would you recommend for a size large or extra large? Thank you for your time to make this video :)
Oh this is such a great tutorial!! Now that you know your stitch count could you do it all in one panel and work from sleeve to sleeve? Doing that chain extension thing where the sleeve meets the body? Either the front or back panel would be one row shorter but you'd never know once you stitch the sides together
I'm confused at 7:45 So after I connect to the neck I have 130 I did 220 so do I need to chain 90 after the neck and work back around to make 25 rows for the other front/back panel?
At 7:45, you should have crocheted back and forth for half of your stitches as many times as you need to cover the back of your neck. If you started with 220 stitches, you should have crocheted at least 2 rows (I needed 8 rows) of 110 stitches. Once the shorter segment is wide enough to cover the back of your neck with the longer segment covering half of your stomach/back, chain another 110 stitches. Hdc in the back loop of your 110 chain, then back across the 110 stitches you crocheted for your neck. This will give you a U shaped piece of fabric. Continue to crochet your hdc rows until you have the same number of rows on either side of your neck hole (I did 27 total rows on either side, not including the 8 rows I did for the neck). I’m not the original creator, but I hope this helps you. Happy crocheting!
I love this idea but could you take measurements so If I want to make the exact size you made i could have an idea how it would fit on me and either keep the same size or make it larger or smaller.
Nice job explaining the one panel way and how to do the cuffs. Any reason why you didnt do the sleeves in the round so you have less sewing? Will it not work if you are doing it this way?
Hello:) you change the measurements of the cardi to make any size, in order to change the length of the body you can add more starting chains, to change the width you would crochet more half double crochet rows, also using old clothes that fit nicely as measurements helps too, let me know if you have any more questions 😊
Are you chaining one, before turning your work or no? I'm a beginner here and don't wanna make mistake. loll Love cardigans, and I'm excited to see how this turns out, tysm for this tutorial!
Oh.. never mind.. I just saw that YES.. you do chain one before turning your work. lmao *face palm* Again.. tysm for your tutorial. Your voice really is calming and I absolutely appreciate.
acrually i missed this too! i am a newbie at this too and i am excited as this looks like a great way to move from blankets into fall clothes confidently - good luck too!
Lovely cardigan! It’s there a reason why you yarn under at the beginning of each stitch? If it’s a design feature let us know (next time) because otherwise this changes the stitch size and complicates how others can make the same gauge as you. I usually follow written patterns but my daughter wanted to try this so we are going to each make one for ourselves, can’t wait to start!
I think she hold the yarn as in knitting, I don't think it would make any difference to the stitch size, it's just the preference of the person as to how they hold their yarn, ( I believe).
@@AspenBennett-j6o hi thank you for that information. I have never seen this way of crocheting before. I don't think I would be able to change my method 😜.

do you have to yarn over like you do for this cardigan? or can you do it the normal way? would it affect the way the cardigan will look?
