Even though he Flipped I got to give it up for this guys driving skills. The first time he avoided the flip with that last second driver steer and almost avoided it again the second time
F for safety and a big F for not lowering his pressure on the tires you can see his fronts bouncing and yeah after the rollover him trusting his life to the winch rope wow just wow and then the rig flops and is in neutral and rolls away failure!!
Well built cage. That's what its for. Having fun. But you look a little heavy in the rear. Everything looks strapped in really good. I will not attempt this in my TJ.
I’m looking to get into this type of off roading. I only have experience with logging trails, mud, dirt, etc. very little purely rock crawling. I’ve seen lots of videos of jeeps and other rigs completing this obstacle. Can someone specifically tell me what went wrong? Improper line? Throttle control? It looks like the vehicle has the proper equipment. From my extremely novice prospective maybe over inflated tires? Just trying to learn.
Well In my opinion he just did not have the patience to find the correct line If that doesn’t work every once in a while you have to admit defeat This guy just couldn’t admit that as well as being to heavy on the throttle
@@risiusexploits5447 I've seen many a rig do exactly what you did with the same results. And, like you, I thought they had it made, but turned slightly left toward the top right where it lost traction. Back down it goes, flopping over. Keeping the rig pointed straight up will result in coming straight back down if it loses traction with a much better chance of keeping it upright. The longer wheelbase is your friend on this obstacle, too.
@@1969darr so you post your comment to a comment but it is not only unrelated to that comment but it is factually incorrect. Do you really think that warming up the tires would not help them gain traction on slick rock? Do you really think there's that much difference between concrete and that rock?
I would say never brake on such an incline, and yet that goes against what you naturally wanna do. Need way more time practicing rock climbing before hitting something like this, that's for sure.
Lucky you didn't blow that motor. Skills are about 2-10. Who allowed you in that hottub? Usually you have to prove your skills and work up to that level for EJSafari. It's actually a well run event. Maybe he was a walk on...roll over.
If you're driving a UTV in Moab Utah The you TV speed limit is 15 The UTV speed limit is 15 mph on pavement On pavement So if you hit 30 mph you are a reckless driver and a criminal
I knew people who were going down to MOAB and I was going to go, but found out it is not dog friendly. So a dog turd will destroy the environment and make it into a wasteland, but rubber being burned on to rocks and when people do flip and spill out all the fluids, or hit a rock or something and just make an oil trail, that’s all perfectly fine for the environment. Lol makes no sense, at least to me.
Wow, there are some truly STUPID responses to this video. As far as the attempt to climb, the only real issue is exceeding the traction threshold of his tires. Simply put, the rig is TOO HEAVY to climb that angle, with those tires. I'll not get into some of the later issues with winching... This specific piece of terrain is very steep and when you exceed the traction threshold, the rig will take the path of least resistance, and that means falling/diving towards the drivers side as you climb. The best line is to hug the right side, as tight as you can, without climbing the "lip". To this comment: "I always went down the steep side and came out the other side when I was learning, Less expensive that way." Bullshit! Show me the video. Anyone who actually goes in there, takes video... You're more likely to roll ass over teakettle from that direction... To this comment: "Too bad about your bronco! The new ones like yours look really sick!" It's not a Bronco... To this comment: "Spend tens of thousands customizing a rig like that, when a stock SxS would walk right out of there... Go figure?" Want to bet? I would really like to be there to watch your attempt. I'll be in Moab the first week of May, 2022, and I'll even bring my winch... To this comment: "you spin the tyres till they are hot and rubber coat the rock, then instead of crawling it with super sticky, you back out?" Yes, because it's a very steep climb and a little momentum helps you get over the hump. If you just gas it from the "tyre warming position" you fail, every time... To this comment: "Ha. spent $100 g. Can't go where stock vintage Jeeps play" I say the same as the SxS post, show me. I'll be there, actually doing it. I have done this climb many times, here's an example: th-cam.com/video/Be18CBAxB0Q/w-d-xo.html
thanks for the comment. yeah I don't pay these other comments any attention at all. they do make me laugh. I know the grabbing of the GFs brand new hoodie really wasn't a smart idea but it fell right in a puddle of ATF. she had it made the day before in town. no one died or lost any arms so all is good and its gained me a lot of hate comments so that's a plus haha. the $100k comment is one of my favorites.
3:13 that clothes probable more important than his life.
There’s always that guy who tries to substitute wheel speed for driving skills. Congratulations on being that guy.
Whoever recorded this did a great job. Usually they move the camera away when something like this happens. Glad he was safe!
was my son. 12 years old at the time. thanks
@@risiusexploits5447 Awesome!! He's got talent.
Good thing the winch line didn't disconnect or break when he jumped under to grab the sweatpants.
Seriously. What was he thinking?
@@DovieRuthAuthor He wasn't !
I was thinking the same thing... It's not worth the risk
Too much trust in that winch line!
I always went down the steep side and came out the other side when I was learning, Less expensive that way.
I am really impressed the protection that his cage setup gave the body.
I don't see a scratch on the actual paint.
More so for standing in the line of fire to a snapping cabel !
At least you tried, I’m too chicken sh1t. Lol
Nothing like standing right in the way of the winch, it's a good way to lose your life.
Scott, nice meeting you & some of your traveling crew earlier today, in Moab, Utah!
nice meeting you. stay tuned for some of what I got from the week
Even though he Flipped I got to give it up for this guys driving skills. The first time he avoided the flip with that last second driver steer and almost avoided it again the second time
Nice Rig and thank you for the cool video!!
Hell of a try just need a little more horse power. The best part is that you can keep going on the trail and continue having fun. Again great try
Thank god he saved the clothes!
When falling down, nice to see all the others run to look if he is safe and not hurt….
F- for safety in this video, why would you stand down in the hole next to it?
F for safety and a big F for not lowering his pressure on the tires you can see his fronts bouncing and yeah after the rollover him trusting his life to the winch rope wow just wow and then the rig flops and is in neutral and rolls away failure!!
I like how almost no one quits filming and leaves their phones on filming:::: just wow
Thanks for posting, had fun watching and good job with keeping arms inside :)
Damn!! You were almost there!!
yes i thought I was about to make it. closest I've ever been so far.
Awesome driving!
Reminds me of the egg that rolled off the kitchen counter this morning
isn't that spot like a mile as the crow flys from down town Moab?
You don't hold the break when u going to flip.u let the vehicle roll back so u can distribute the weight
So many unsafe things... i dont even know where to start

thanks. yes the cage has held up well. It does have a lot of gear in the back that adds weight but its mostly a self sufficient rig.
I am man. I must break something.
"Craaapp"...that was cute.
good training run for the green truck
Experienced driver and that rig will walk right up
Maybe.. But experience takes practice.
@@toosense well said
let some air out of the tires geeze

Impressionante.
Would dropping tyre pressure help a little??
Seen guys conquer the tub wet in two wheel drive.

Hold my beer, and let me send it ....!!!....Bro.....SMH.....
Let peg it and start hopping!
It's actually easy to recover from this, just grab a winch line and get to pulling.
Maybe a little less weight in the back??
I wonder what's your GVW
its over 5k but I haven't scaled it since I made changes. last I scaled it was just under 5k but with the changes I know its heavier.
@@risiusexploits5447 than you✌😎
Looked like it started to roll back down and hit the brakes. When the rear tires locked, the front went over. Scary!
you spin the tyres till they are hot and rubber coat the rock, then instead of crawling it with super sticky, you back out?
read that line like so many others
I would let some air out of those tires first of all
So close!!! 😔
yeah it felt like I was goin to make it. maybe next time.

Its not a Bronco. Its a Jeep.
Why would you say that? Lol
Waaaaaaw
LOL! If you're out to destroy your gear the rocks don't mind.
I want that vehicle out of there...
Was this filmed with a go pro? It doesn’t look as steep.
Doing burnouts and heating up the rubber doesn't help. This ain't drag racing on a concrete flat.
