Excellent video! Will definitely be testing this soon. It got me thinking about how the SoT game engine generates game assets(treasure). Searched for about an hour, unfortunately there is almost no info online how the game works on the back-end. And while I do not know how asset generation works in SoT, we can stil speculate for fun. The treasure rewards received for completing a LotV are pretty unique in comparison to every other voyage and world event in SoT. Based off of your found glitch, we can speculate that there is a trigger in the game engine that creates and places a set amount of game assets upon voting for a LotV voyage but with an exception that it makes them invisible until another trigger makes them visible again, which would be destroying the main island fortress with cannonballs. Logically, you would think that canceling the voyage would trigger an asset deletion but that is clearly not happening. But there could be other ways that the treasure is generated. Upon voting up a LotV, instead of what I described in the above paragraph, the game might be creating a conditional system task. Something like "after fortress destruction sequence, create xyz game assets at a set coordinate on the map." Now upon canceling the voyage, the game engine is probably supposed to delete that little conditional task. But what the video glitch is implying is that the system is NOT doing that and instead stacking up a little pile of the spawn asset triggers. Then you complete the veil and they all run at the same time. Has anyone tested to see if the same thing also happens when voting/canceling voyages with similar completion rewards? For example, I wonder if you could stack up all the gold hoarder vaults on the server in a similar manner?
So this is actually all within the normal range of loot and your luck caused a placebo affect. A cool glitch that DOES do something though is at the very end if you grab the last veil stone and put it in the mask, wait for the pirate lord to start talking, then kill your character, the fort will despawn, and the loot will be floating in the air for easy harpooning.

@@archpolecat5218I think a good test would be to go to one of the areas where the veil spawns, keep cycling voyages while there, and then attempt to get a full cycle with an island that ends near where you did the original cycling. Sorta attempting to force the loot to spawn in one spot and then waiting for the RNG to get the right ending.
@@archpolecat5218what I do know for sure is that the intended range of ghost loot is anywhere from 3-5 pieces each without any manipulation and that this loot will still just spawn on top of itself as if it was duped even though it wasn’t. Still this is only 15 items accounted for and that’s a far cry from 40.
When other people are saying that it works without canceling voyages, I suspect that it could be any veil that was canceled by anyone in that same server since the server restart, so like if some other crew votes for it and cancels, and then you vote to do the veil and it’s the same stronghold location that the other crews initially was, then that’s why there is more loot as well. Cause also, veil voyages are a more like public world events that are just triggered by individual crews.
from experience this isnt actually true, ive been passively doing veils when i can be bothered to WITHOUT cancelling anything before hand and it has ALWAYS duplicated the ghost loot WITHOUT FAIL so you might wanna do a comparison but im 99.9% sure you can save the hassle of cancelling quests and just get right to doing the voyage! (feel free to call me out with a new video proving this if im wrong)
So you are right in some respect I just found that there was a notable amount more loot when doing the canceling could this have been my luck? maybe but it also could be because of my canceling!
Yeah, had it happened to me every time my crew and I did a veil fro the past months, but I've never actually looked into it, I was also skeptical about the fact that revoting would increase the loot spawning. After this video I tested it by going to one corner of the map (potentially decreasing the number of spawn points of the fortresses), voted and cancelled 60 times, did the veil and the loot was the same (if not less) as i get when doing it normally
I think the amount of loot that glitches and dupes is random. I did a LotV normally the other day and got about 15-25 extra ashes of the damned. I assume it depends on server performance and other things.
small nitpick: you don't have to stare at the loot while you're picking it up, you can move and look away, as long as you keep los. You could move the loot way faster
I did find a gold hoarder glitch map glitch on snake island. When you start up a captians vault between the west island on snake and the middle I found that all of the time a fragment spawns on the island. And every single time that I tried it the key was on snake island. I did this for about 30-45 mins and got 10 keys. If this helps anyone give me a like :)

I did it and it does work well, I just recommend voting down and canceling over 100 times. Btw it’s quicker to add it to your favorites than going to the company tab
So something really weird happened, I completed a veil after reloading the quest 40 times before doing the veil, and there was majorly chests of the damned. Not many skulls or ashes. It seemed normal to me, so then I reloaded the quest 100 TIMES in a new server and for some reason, there was 1 CHEST and 1 SKULL and the rest was ashes. But more ashes then usual. Then, on the same server, I reloaded the quest 5 times and got majorly skulls. Only a few chests and ashes. What?
that's so weird. there is a possibility that there is reasoning behind it but t is so hard to even speculate what could be causing this. thank you for letting me know, if you find anything else be sure to let me know as well!!!
Is this a bannable offense? Like, can Rare review the logs and see that I grinded 3 factions to level 100 in 4 hours? Someone lmk before I start testing.
I just was getting a little bit more the more I voted and canceled. I’m aware that it happens from a base but more exploring the ability to add to that from this method
My guess is why it does it is because in every vail there is usually one of the loot with a bunch more than the other ones(chests/skulls/ashes) So my guess s that every time you put it down its loading the one with more loot but every time you put it down its loading that bundle of loot
this has been a thing all season, anytime you complete a 'legend of the veil' voyage, that is the amount of loot you get everytime. voting and canceling the quest has nothing to do with it.
to farm gold hoarder rep faster you'd have to pick the crypt method (also from this guy's channel). me and my friend stacked like 20 of them and gained a good 17-20 levels with 1.1 mil gold, and it took like 3-4 hours.
what about the other stronghlods, can you just do the quest again after and go to a diffrent stronghold and get more loot too, also can you just rock up on where a stronghold would be and pick up the loot?
I am pretty sure you can't just go grab it where it should be but if you could somehow know you were getting another stronghold then I assume you could get the rest of the loot. I just don't know how to tell where the final stronghold will be right when you put the quest down!
For the first stage of the quest I’ve light all of the braziers but the next stage of the quest doesn’t happen. It just replays the start of the quest saying legend of the veil. Because I cancelled the quest like 50 times. What do I do?
No that’s what I mean I light all the braziers but the next part where u fight doesn’t happen. The only thing that pops up at the top of my screen is the stating banner (saying legend of the veil) over and over again
I tested this while trying to roll for Belle to get phantoms to see if they would count for the season pass challenge. (They didn't). The gold hoarder chests were dupped, but there were tons more skulls than anything else. I only rerolled 3 times. While on the way to turn in loot, my friend and I did a riddle message in a bottle on Smuggler's Bay, and we both dug up the chest at the same time, and it seemed to duplicate the chest. The second chest we couldn't pick up, but once we buried it and pulled it back out, we were able to take it. So one riddle gave us 6 crowns of hope. Is this a new exploit, or is it already known?
So I did it a few times resetting the mission hundreds of times to the point where there should be a noticeable difference. Thus far on average it's 90-100k no matter how many voyages you cancel. I think you didn't test this thoroughly enough or it got patched. Not trying to call you out. Just pointing out what I've found.

glitch i think is doing something that's not supposed to work, like this video, an exploit is using the game mechanics , like the ship manifests exploit

I think you said you where testing another veil thing, a tip you should give is on a sloop scatter shot insta kills the walls and might one shot the garrisons if you hit it with the whole shot 😂 usually takes me two.
@archpolecat5218 no idea, I did one yesterday and looking at the stash it looked meager to say the least but then it turned out there were atleast 4 chests in each pile. Am going to start counting them but it seems pretty similar amounts in total. The only difference is whether there is golden hour running or not.
I encountered it randomly. Didn't do anything sus, just a veil Some loot was duped on veil - well cool. After that, mermaid statues were dropping 2-3 gems for me instead of 1.
Completly false. The amount of loot is not connected to cancel the voyage. Its just bugged. They wanted to increase the loot for the veil mission and since then its bugged. U can cancel 500 times and the loot will always be the same-ish. Either you just wanted clicks and straight up lying or you just did not! test it and you thought you are on to something big.
I literally did test it I got result and I shared them expressing it's unreliability and explained that I don't fully understand it and even asked for help and clarification you're are making huge claims against me for no reason. I did test this four times. one normal, one with a few quests canceled, with with 10+ quests canceled, and one with 50+ quests canceled. The number each time getting a greater amount of loot, for the amount of times I canceled the voyages.
Someone just confirmed that over 100 times gave about 30 extra items on top of the regular loot which is pretty decent proof but i will try and test a huge number at some point

Why is there a different amount of loot spawning. Anywhere between 10-40 pieces of ghost loot per mission? Is that within the normal range?

it could be that or the quest just being bugged itself its so hard to tell because so many quests in this game are broken in one way or another!

for reference I was getting 4-8 extra items normally and 20-30 extra items when canceling a ton of quests

You do not have to cancel and revote, for some reason it spawns random extra amounts. Revoting doesn’t necessarily increase the amount you get.

Can they? Yes. they can ban you for whatever that want to. Will they? probably not

Do daily/weekly deeds for extra renown
World events should be your best bet. Especially skeleton forts, fof, and fotd because of all the skeletons you kill.
Just playing the game will level it up! Unless your on safer seas then it would be super slow. Should only tale max 2 weeks to get to 100

Some loot was duped on veil - well cool.
After that, mermaid statues were dropping 2-3 gems for me instead of 1.

Completly false. The amount of loot is not connected to cancel the voyage. Its just bugged. They wanted to increase the loot for the veil mission and since then its bugged. U can cancel 500 times and the loot will always be the same-ish. Either you just wanted clicks and straight up lying or you just did not! test it and you thought you are on to something big.
I literally did test it I got result and I shared them expressing it's unreliability and explained that I don't fully understand it and even asked for help and clarification you're are making huge claims against me for no reason. I did test this four times. one normal, one with a few quests canceled, with with 10+ quests canceled, and one with 50+ quests canceled. The number each time getting a greater amount of loot, for the amount of times I canceled the voyages.

Someone just confirmed that over 100 times gave about 30 extra items on top of the regular loot which is pretty decent proof but i will try and test a huge number at some point
