This game looks like a lot of fun, but the gameplay clip you made sure reminds me of what Long Shot (original) looks like when we play. I wish that race board was bigger.

Gosh dang, this looks awesome lol feels like real-time Camel Up (which I love cuz of the moments). All I needed to see was that 40 sec clip too 😅also generally like John D. Clair's games. Definitely gonna grab this!

I will be in the near future. Although I gave my thoughts on my Top 10 Gencon Games I already Played if that’s what you’re looking for. It was my #1!
I love Camel Up and when you reviewed Long Shot the Dice Game, I was skeptical that the latter would be more fun for me. After playing Long Shot, I was pleasantly surprised that I liked it better.
Now I’m having the same feelings with Ready Set Bet. It feels like I would prefer Long Shot the Dice Game over Ready Set Bet.
It sounds like you prefer Ready Set Bet, is that correct?
They are such different experiences even though they have the same theme. This is a party game where Long Shot is s light-medium euro room and write. Both are great, but very different. But I’d say this provides a more memorable experience than just about any game though.

Looks a VERY lively & fun experience. I would say, tho, that the race track looks way too small & fiddly - & I feel the betting chips should be transparent to make it clearer what they are betting on.
Looks fun, but think one or two things could have been designed better.
Race Track COULD be a little bigger, but nice that it doesn't make the box bigger or more expensive. As for the chips, once you've bet, you don't need to see what is under it anymore... if they were transparent, people would try to bet on top of other's bets.. I think it's good as it is, on that front.
Don't see the need for transparent chips either, but a bigger race board would be better so it's easier to see for all players.
How does it compare to the newer Long Shot? :)
Other than the horse racing theme, they feel completely different. Which is a good thing because they are both great and both have room in a collection!
How does it play at lower player counts? Is it as fun at 3 and 4 as it is at 7 or 8?
I think it does shine better with more players, but it still works fine with 3-4 players. You just have a little less tenseness off riding to the bets. Do you might have a like more time to think. Some might actually prefer that better than the utter chaos that is 7 or 8 where many bets get taken early, but that might end up helping you off that early horse doesn’t end up winning and you’re the only one that has tokens left!
Do you think this is better with the app or with a person running the horses?
I think it’s best if a person still calls the race, but is also being like s normal person (using app with sound effects only)
Any comment on player count ?
I think 3 or more it’s great. The more the merrier but still really good at 3
