Believe it or not, but Molly was actually so much closer to Sully at the end than they thought. She should have ended with 99 instead of 85. I caught 2 things while watching. During the third race at around the 35 minute mark, Laurie rolled 10 twice in a row but didn't do the 3 extra spaces, which should have put it tied for 3rd thus giving Molly 12 extra dollars. And then in the last round, Molly misunderstood her card as getting 1 extra dollar for winning red bets when it was actually increasing the red bet multiplier by 1, which would have given her 3 extra dollars instead. So Sully would still have won, but by only 1 dollar.
In the last race the number 7 was rolled twice in a row near the end and they didn’t move Michael the extra 3 spaces either. It would have made a clear 3rd place winner instead of a tie that would have skewed the final results also. Not sure if it would have changed who won or not. I also think there was a couple more times they forgot to move a replete roll the extra 3 spaces, but don’t want to rewatch to double check.
I like to imagine that before every race, Sully went to the stables and personally talked with each horse and placed his bets based on what the horses told him...while Molly-Rose just showed up to horse racing with a giant mug of beer and drunkenly placing bets while spilling beer in a 20 meter radius around her and screaming like Big Tom from the pub down the corner when his football team scores a goal
Definitely did not expect to derive so much entertainment from a game that just involves repeatedly throwing dice. Laurie's sportscasting energy is awesome
Lorna and Molly-Rose have been such great additions to the cast recently. Molly-Rose adds such great chaotic energy to the episodes she's in and makes for a great duo with Sullivan.
Every time Molly-Rose and Sullivan won bets in the final round the little look they have at each other every time was hilarious lol. Like they’re miming “oh yeah? Beat that!” XD
The rush from anticipation, the wait, the direction the game swings (especially when it sways back and forth), and being sold on the idea of a MAJOR cash prize if you bet right. The last bit is the hook in hore racing.... you can read up stats and the history of the horse and make an "educated" guess on the winner. Horse racing brings out the wild side of some people.
Hey I doubt anyone at NRB will see this, but I have to say something. I adore your content, and have loved watching episodes in the past, but I can no longer watch any of your videos. My hearing has gotten to the point where I cant distinguish voices easily, especially when they are so similar. And TH-cams autogenerated captions are absolutely terrible. Please consider adding subtitles to your videos, or at least give a transcript of the episode, so that the hard of hearing may enjoy your content as well
This is not the sort of game I would ever own, but after watching this I'd love to play this at a convention. This was the most absolute absurd chaos, and I'm HERE FOR IT. Probably more than just about any other game I've seen on this channel, I'd love to have it make a second appearance. Kudus to a hilariously fun time!
This is taking me back to my childhood where we had a game called 'and they're off'. It was like this but instead of dice rolls it was card draws. You could also adjust the odds of each horse based on various factors. Lots of fun, especially for the commentator
For anyone who is curious, you can protect the chips in coin capsules. 28mm for a tighter fit but they barely fit. 30mm are slightly looser but feel closer to the size of actual poker chips. Cool timing by the way as I recently ordered this game and am looking forward to getting it to the Game Nights at my local geek shop.
37:30 I think Molly Rose just became everyone’s spirit animal after this 😂 Love being the announcer for this game, with the right group it’s always an amazing time!
This game is just brilliant at parties. I love all your playthroughs NRB, and this one is really fun too. The only tip would be to actually place the Place and Show arrows to the right of the Place and Show bet boxes on the board to indicate only those bets pay off, instead of placing it on the right most part of the board. That makes it a lot clearer and avoids any confusion.
One thing you should change is to put the second place and third place winning arrow right beside the column so it's easier to follow. Don't put it all the way where the first place column is.
So, that was a thrilling episode. I thoroughly loved watching it. I was figuratively at the edge of my seat watching in anticipation for each round's results. Laurie's announcements were great too.
Oh an absolute banger. Molly's primal "YEEEEES" is exactly the moment I want to have with my group. Time to buy this game! Edit: rewatched that moment, and I can absolutely hear the ducking audio - it was so primal! 😂
this was fantastic fun. there was a guy on tiktok who ran races while we were on lockdown. it was good fun to see then, and even better to see with a bunch of cool people making bets on it.

Excellent work tracking that down
good catch mr. FBI agent

Repeat not replete.
After his rousing succes as the gambler in Cosmic encounter, Jon Gracey sets out this episode to prove himself the worst gambler in history
The best gamblers have no idea which side they are betting on
It's his character arc xD
I had forgotten about that. His time as the gambler was pretty hilarious.
he was also the gambler character in Blood on the Clocktower once
This is the perfect game for the cool and collected Jon Gracey...
We all knew Sully has a thing for Horses...
It was so nice of John to demonstrate for us the reason why you shouldn't gamble. Great game guys!
Definitely did not expect to derive so much entertainment from a game that just involves repeatedly throwing dice. Laurie's sportscasting energy is awesome
Sully's look at the camera when Molly-Rose was so happy thinking 52 was in first was brilliant.
I'll be honest. As a Michael, the entire group yelling about Michael had my heart racing on impulse 😂
Same here! It was cathartic to watch as a fellow Michael 😅
Ditto
Molly-Rose's reaction to Mike winning at 37:30 is an all-time great NRB moment.
Oooff Laurie's got some skill for commentary!! Gotta have a backup job in this economy 😄
The Primal SCREAM from Molly Rose at the end of the 3rd race was absolutely wild.
Lorna and Molly-Rose have been such great additions to the cast recently. Molly-Rose adds such great chaotic energy to the episodes she's in and makes for a great duo with Sullivan.
I've been really enjoying them as well! They've been brilliant additions
As a fellow Michael, that comeback by Michael was awe-inspiring
Official petition for a single Teri takeover episode where Teri is the host and chooses her game. Teri must reign supreme!
you mean Teughrey?
A whole hour of Guess the Card!
There is a boardgame called Perfect Wave
hot bucket cold bucket!
@@iDongu Teri is the reigning champion but it's Brooke's game so she'd need to come back for it.
Get Laurie a glass of water after that, he did great on the track commentary!
It’s been a while since we’ve seen Jon unravel this rapidly in a game 😂
Every time Molly-Rose and Sullivan won bets in the final round the little look they have at each other every time was hilarious lol. Like they’re miming “oh yeah? Beat that!” XD
Whenever I play a game like this, even when winning, I think, “Why the _hell_ do people gamble in real life?! That was so stressful!”
The rush from anticipation, the wait, the direction the game swings (especially when it sways back and forth), and being sold on the idea of a MAJOR cash prize if you bet right. @@aos-archive Ah, that could explain things. I don’t have a wild side. 😄
I like this crazy game, Laurie is an excellent sportscaster and banker.

I wish TH-cam still had community captions... such a great feature that they took out for basically no reason
100% agree
@@NZsaltz YT removed it because some community captions were being used to berate commercials and corporate productions where comments were shut off.
@@sintanan469 Definitely not a good enough reason

Applaus to Rosie's gun impression! She's still my fave.
Molly-Rose and Lorna in the same episode? I don't think I'll be able to physically handle that much laughter
I see Molly Rose is participating in the Jonathan Sims naming tradition
This is SO SPECIFIC 🤣
TMP better have even more Michaels
@@dean1673Well apparently Jon is Gerard Keay, so there is a overlap
@@SylviaH. all the English nerds are in one pool and seem to mingle way too close to eachother. Oh no! My special interests! Their interacting!!!

A fantastic advert for the game. Everything a great casual party game should be. Mostly mindless, full of laughs and chaos, and so much fun.
Love Jon's nails, they steal the show every time the top down cam is used.
That 'pineapple flavor' exotic finish joke was an amusing dirty joke that deserves recognition.
This episode might be the most intense episode of Board Game Club ever.
an entire horse episode and not 1 single joke about sullivan being attracted to horses
That would explain why he won. They adore him too.
@@adaelion3772yeah he is personally motivating the horses
Good to see Lorna and Molly-Rose back, two very welcome additions to the gang.
Watching the cast's faces during the whole sequence from 35:30 - 36:00 is absolutely amazing
This is not the sort of game I would ever own, but after watching this I'd love to play this at a convention. This was the most absolute absurd chaos, and I'm HERE FOR IT. John crying in the intro LMAO
Ready, bready, BET
We NEED a Pitch Car sequel!
Definitely an experience watching this and being named Michael.
Agreed
As a Michael, I applauded for the comeback story (and also slightly concerned about Jon's threats)
This game needs a House Rules ASAP 😂
Horse rules!
This is taking me back to my childhood where we had a game called 'and they're off'. It was like this but instead of dice rolls it was card draws. You could also adjust the odds of each horse based on various factors. Lots of fun, especially for the commentator
This game was so hype. Made me want to start throwing bets down on the table!
The energy in this episode was off the charts.

When Laurie said he was glad they're robbing each other and not the bank... I immediately thought Western Legends "Why you with me Wild Bill?!"
Shoutout to Laurie for stepping up after [REDACTED]’s departure
The redacted joke is getting old and annoying.
@@GeniusLad32 And he wasn't redacted anyway. All his videos are still up; he just doesn't work there anymore.
I normally prefer hidden role games, but this was super fun. I'd watch this every day.
Love the addition of Molly-Rose and Lorna! They add a new dimension (and new chaos) to NRB! 😜🤣👍🏻🤙🏻
Happy new year to you all, folks!
First round... good old John is back, guys... ;-)
man i would love to see a version of this game with a mechanical box that rolls and moves the horses automaticly
This feels like an advert for the ups and downs of gambling 😂
Most chaotic one so far to my memory. This was so much fun to watch!
37:30 I think Molly Rose just became everyone’s spirit animal after this 😂
Love being the announcer for this game, with the right group it’s always an amazing time!
Michael, Michael, and Mike are all in a line!
I just bought Herd Mentality today after seeing it on sale and remembering how fun it looked watching them play it!
ITS THE BEST TIME OF THE WEEK!!! ITS BOARD GAME CLUB!!!
2024 is starting out so amazingly. I get to watch Molly-Rose. She is becoming one of my favorite on the channel 🌹
That's Numberwang!
Laurie: "Jon you do owe me $3 but don't have any."
Jon: "How bout you take three of these?" [Flips off Laurie]
Sully: "You've only got two."
😂
Everyone's nail polish is STUNNING in this episode
This game was a blast to watch it would be awesome if you could do a second one of this.
36:16 is an amazing swath of expressions and experiences of gambling
Of course Sully plays a game containing so many HORSES!! He must be thrilled. 😍😏
Happy New Year, everyone!
"Sexy" horses
This was a bizarrely hype video.
Being a Michael... this was a strange experience.
Damn Laurie really worked on this one
"Is your name not Bruce then? That's bound to cause a little confusion. Mind if we call you Bruce just to keep it clear?"
This now has to be one of my favorite episodes! Love the content..keep it up!
i love how that r responded to Rosie when she said come on number 8. 10:11
EVERY commercial for this for me was my Canadian wellness stuff about healthy gambling LMAFO
This was SO exciting!
Excited to see how Sully handles this game, given his love of horses
I would love another episode of this. It is way more exhilarating than it should be.
this game is probably amazing online
tjhe horses move automaticly
and the players can place the tokens faster. and you can do dome spezial effects

Aside from Communopoly this is my fave game for this bunch to play
46:54 Jon wants to split all the money and redistribute it evenly? Welcome to the party Jon.
This is fun for old throwback
Play atmosphere they are 5 in total
If you remember this game
What a show, michael!
Wow that game looks super fun
Great performance by Laurie!
Laurie forgot to charge Jon that 3 he owed to the bank and also 2 from last bet, so Jon's actual score should have been 5 lower :)
Kick a man while he's down why dontcha? I love it!
Anyone who bet on Micheal was kidding themselves, Michael was clearly the better bet!
Well done by Laurie, the tension was real.
Ohh no Sully and horses again 😰
This was so much fun!
John resurrecting his “Gambler” character from Cosmic Odyssey
