  • Another of the superb classic dirt bikes from the comprehensive Rob Hughes classic colletion. This is an extremely rare 1993 ADB Avenger 560 and is the only one of its kind in the UK.

I have never heard of this bike but strangly enough can give some aditional info:
AMP produced full Suspenion Mountain Bikes and Leitner introduced the "Horst-Link" to MTB rear-Supension, a link in the chainstays just before the rear axle to minimze chain/ Supension interference.
The Rotax 560 was tested by a german Motorcycle Magazine in 1983 with 49 HP at the clutch (1st Gen Husky 501 was 47 HP, 1st Gen TT600 40HP), it was used by KTM (and Puch?) until KTM eveloped their own LC4 in 1987.
However, Bike looks smazing but covering an air-cooled off-road Engine with Plastic seems a little bit sketchy 😁

Man, love the integration of the tank into the side panels. Never seen a gas filler on the side of a tank on a motocross bike, cool beans !!!

I see a MXA decal on it. I wonder if they got their mittens on it, back in the day? 🇨🇦

WOW what a trail of failed builders....Very cool bike though ...I would rather see the bikes details versus plastic panels

There might be an engineering reason for it. Basically the front of all that plastic forms a gigantic air scoop. Could be to cool the engine without the expense of water cooling.

@@kyleklintok7730 Or it holds the heat. I wonder who welded up the frames? Not C&J (85-92) looking at the welds.
