I’ve been in Inverness for about 2 years now and I believe it has grown so incredibly much just in that small time. There are so many new chain restaurants on 44 now.
Almost everyone I know around Tampa bay go up there regularly. Especially in the summer. We tube the rainbow river at least once every summer. We go scalloping offshore from Crystal River. If you’ve never had lunch at The Freezer you’re missing out.
One thing of note...Apalachicola is best known for their Oysters !!! Apalachicola Bay is home to the best tasting oysters in the SE USA ! Unfortunately at the time this video was produced Apalachicola Bay oystering industry was still shut down due to state regulations. But Apalachicola will survive and thrive as it has for generations

West Pasco & east pasco county are two different worlds 😳 I’m from the Wesley chapel area and trust me it’s booming and wealthy 🤦🏻♂️ new port richey is the opposite
Tarpon Springs is my favorite place in Florida. Just bought property and a vacation mobile home in Silver Springs Florida. Right on the border of Ocala National Forest. I love Florida. Rainbow Springs state park and Silver Springs state park are two of the most beautiful parks in Florida. Don’t miss out ppl!!! I’ll be living in Florida full time real soon. Chicago sux!!!

Extremely impressed with your research and commentary! 🌀 Where do you generally stayed when you travel? 💲 Do you think you could make a video talking about hotels and motels? Have you ever stayed in a hostel?
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS maybe not but a hostel video would. Perhaps you could just give 2 minutes of commentary during a future video on how you like to save money or what your hotel motel preferences are.... Just an add-on, I mean not stand-alone video. Thank you for your consideration and excellent editing!!
I went to this area in 2020 when I was looking for a home to buy. It gave me Meth-any vibes. We Googled “nearest beach” which was Fort Island beach in Crystal River. Stale water, muddy and swampy… we passed. That’s a reason why it’s cheaper.

I had 10 acres in 95. Keaton beach. But came across tough times . Paid 20k. Wonder what it's worth now.? I don't like to see my neighbors. I'm stuck in concrete jungle. Broward/coward county. 😂
Anytime you think of retirement in Florida, you better consider healthcare facilities. Alot of bullshit healthcare here. Be where you have good doctors and hospitals or you'll find out real quick you're not in New York or major city anymore
Well, from what is discribed with this video is the the big bend over of Florida is the a--hole of Florida. It has been that since forever. You drive West till you smell it and drive a little more till you step in it. AMEN!
They need to clean up this part of the state. When most of the population lives in poverty and no one wants to work, you have a problem. When the developers start pushing in and building better infrastructure/homes, you will see change. I still think they should preserve some of it, but most of it is an undesirable crap hole.
@@Arginne That's what I mean. Start building better infrastructure/communities and then people will come and there will have to be jobs or some type of industry. People can't live like this forever. It takes a commitment from within though to want a change. Especially as other parts of the state become unaffordable for so many Floridians, this region of the state will become desirable for middle (and lower) income people if you push this crap out. The fact is, meth is a huge problem in the Big Bend region, particularly in the lower part of it. Besides, you have so many beautiful springs/natural preserves in this part of the state. It can become desirable but the people have to want change.

This guy judges these towns like if they aren't like most towns they must be bad but to those people living there those towns are just the way they want them not others passing through or they wouldn't stay in them.
Is anyone else wondering about the credentials behind all these judgements? The internet, maybe? Driving briefly through towns doesn’t make you an expert on living there. If someone is looking to relocate, I would do more research than watching a video. I have lived in Florida most of my life and every community has pros and cons. This video kind of hurts my heart. This man doesn’t know the families or circumstances in any of these communities personally I don’t believe, but comes across as very judgmental. Some of his facts could be true, I don’t know, but to me, this is an extremely negative video so no thumbs up in my case
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS The land it's parked on has value, and a mobile home is certainly easier to remove from a lot than a sticks and bricks. Do you have a study you can refer me to for the depreciation of families who reside in that type of housing?
So many errors in this video. But thanks, I’m sure you’ve made people change their minds. We don’t need any more people coming down.

Its more beautiful in the nite life, great culture, in the south of Florida 😅 north central ❤ has Karen, Ken, winter manatee days and bowling 🎳

What’s actually on the coast since there’s no beaches? Is it swamp land?
Rocky shore and marshy grasses. Very shallow water too. You gotta go out like a mile to be in ten feet of water

It's called the nature coast to to keep urban sprawl out. No more development is needed every thing isn't about money. Go back north
