@ agree to disagree. Kraven has always been one of my favorite characters from Marvel so I’m biased to begin with. My point was that the movie has already failed bc people didn’t like the Venom trilogy (and rightly Morbius and Madame Web). I’m not ashamed to say I enjoyed Venom and Let There Be Carnage, they did indeed drop the ball with the other movies. Most people didn’t like the Venom movies because they didn’t have Spider-Man not bc of anything else and that’s what I’m arguing. “It doesn’t have Spider-Man… I don’t like it” They don’t him. I don’t care what anyone says. Tell me a storyline besides Kraven’s Last Hunt that NEEDS Spider-Man? Now do i agree that he should be a PETA John Wick? We don’t know if he is. I hope they play it yo as him respecting the animals before killing. Hunters don’t like poachers. I’m just looking forward to some good kills. I don’t need it to connect to an overarching universe and I will agree that Marvel even early 2000s Marvel is at fault for everything having to connect. Put it like this, if Kraven was it’s on solo film (as it should be), no one would be complaining. TLDR: because I like Kraven and fan complaints do play a part in film’s having presumptions. It should be its own solo movie, though.
I'm not sure how TH-cam works, but my hope is that they cut the part with the wolves so they could upload it for a wider audience, but they still show up in the theatrical version.
the shot at the end when it's revealed Kraven killed the prisoner during the bathroom break makes the scene intro'ing him make a lot more sense, and reveals his "Hunter" moniker is well-worn. Also, the scene where he jump-scares a guard... that's called a sneak attack, and the guard would have shot him if he saw him immediately in the room. Idk, I feel like these takes were so nit-picky just so you could shoe-horn what YOU think the first 8, yes 8, minutes of the film should have been. Weird video is all. I really hope they go full Squirrel Girl by the end where he's taking his revenge way too far. Jumping out of trees to attack dudes fishing in a pond..
Its kinda late at this point, but I think the Spider-Man villain movies couldve worked if they showed a Spider-Man story from the villains POV. The villain is the protagonist & we just see Spidey show up in the fight scenes to stop them & is this kind of unstoppable obstacle thats getting in the way of the villain & taunts/harasses them which pisses them off & causes them to escalate the situation. Make the movies kind of a tragedy where the protagonists lose & have the same Spidey throughout them. Even build to a Sinister Six? Theres a way to make the Villian Movie work without turning them all into Anti-Heroes
They released the first eight minutes of now you see me when it was released which I thought was pretty good because it really got you captured into what the movie was about
We might also know Kraven from "Spider-man: Turn Off The Dark" in which he is a man wearing a big distorted man-head over his own head. Maybe he skinned another hunter?
but you didn't have a problem with Kraven from the latest spider-man game? What animal powers did he have that kept you entertained? Also, @8:18 based on the zoom in I took it as a movie metaphor being "he is the wolf". But maybe I'm giving this thing too much credit
I feel like they cut some scenes from Kraven The Hunter. I sure hope they are included in the Blu-ray or DVD. However, I don't mind it than watching the MCU films.
I didn't watch the first 8 minutes but I'm still interested in seeing this film.Unlike previous Sony films what I read about Kraven is he's like Black cat a character that doesn't really need Spiderman.
Def a weird thing for Sony to do, like I would expect something like this when the movie hits digital or streaming. Also, will they do this for MCU!Spider-Man 4?
I really hope the rights are returned to Marvel studios, But i really hope this movie is atleast enjoyable like the john wick movies, which is a huge ask due to the recent fucked up track record of sony(except venom).
i like what the filmmakers are doing with this film, they're making a grounded gritty film about a character that does have a crazy fantastical ability. i think that the film not being "dumb" enough is a good thing because it makes the story have more merit. people wanted dumb funny films is what is hurting Sony cause they clearly aren't good at that so going for a much different approach I'll feel can work, even if it isn't the greatest of films i think people can come back to appreciate the story and tone of this film. hopefully it does well
I'm gonna disagree about him not having obvious superpowers. I felt like that might be the case at the start, but he shows at *least* two instances of superhuman strength (lifting the men and the weight bar at the same time and ripping back the steel bars enclosing the roof area during his escape). He also makes a huge jump across buildings that is a little beyond the realm of believability for a regular human, as well as countless instances of superhuman agility. I agree, though, that if Sony decided to tone down the comic book nature of this then they made a mistake. I'm hoping that this was just edited for brevity's sake.
They didn’t learn from spectacular spiderman when kraven had powers. Now he don’t turn into a lion in the movie but the point is kraven is so skilled he don’t need powers.
Did anyone else see the terrible Henry Cavill style mouth replacement Arron Taylor Johnson got when he was meant to speak russian into the camera? In one scene he's barely moving his lips and the voice is clearly ADR by a Russian speaker , but in another he's speaking himself but it's all CGI or deep fake.
9:23 Umm people made fun of that power in the first trailer. Saying that’s not comic accurate. So I don’t blame them for removing it. It’s always the fans complaints that make those changes. So you’re welcome.
You know, if it were announced that Nando, and/or the Weekly Planet guys, and/or the Red Letter Media crew, had been hired by Marvel or DC simply to PLOT 5 years' worth of superhero movies, I'd be delighted beyond words. They're all pretty humble and self-deprecating, but they're far more skilled at it than 90% of the people who actually DO plot these movies, even when they're working off the cuff (maybe not Nando in this video, but James and Mason at TWP, for instance, improve plots all the time with two or three minutes of impromptu banter). I just don't understand how the actual companies haven't mastered what I'd argue is the *easiest* part of filmmaking ... all you need is a pen, a sense of timing, and a fertile imagination.
The guard never said, "where's Kraven?" He said, "where's prisoner 864?", or whatever his number was. The whole point was that Kraven was not prisoner 864. We see prisoner 864's corpse in the snow later in the scene. The worst part of that eight minutes, to me, was the plane. How did he have a plane just sitting there waiting? How did he know he was going to be out at that time? Did he expect the plane to just sit there for three days? I could have believed it if it had been just a small plane stashed in the woods or something. Not a huge cargo plane with a pilot and running engines just waiting patiently.
Some of the action in the trailers looked so decent I was starting to worry Sony accidentally made a good SPUMM movie, glad they released this chunk to address those concerns.

"but also, he kicked that puppy"
Thats awesome hahahahha
I love this video. Your other videos look really good.
Given the delays to the release of this movie…I’m amazed it’s not gone immediately to streaming
I can’t help but notice the ungodly amount of cuts there are in the first 8min
Strength of the bear... Eyes of the hawk.
They probably should've just made a Bravestar movie.
Love the use of the word: Adorable.😂😂
"I'm cool with wolves."
- Kraven The Hunter
The DCEU Aquaman-ification of Kraven
If Alex Honnold can’t do it than it’s a superpower.
Both the dark knight and the dark knight rises released the opening action sequence in theaters and online before the films came out
You talking about this has made me think that a Vixen movie might work… Animal Man might have if that wasn’t basically Ace Ventura…
but you didn't have a problem with Kraven from the latest spider-man game? What animal powers did he have that kept you entertained?
Also, @8:18 based on the zoom in I took it as a movie metaphor being "he is the wolf". But maybe I'm giving this thing too much credit
I feel like they cut some scenes from Kraven The Hunter. I sure hope they are included in the Blu-ray or DVD. However, I don't mind it than watching the MCU films.
It's not called SPUMC anymore it's the Sonys Spider-Man universe
It forever going to be SPUMC. Idc what sony says.
who cares what name it is
Can't wait for him to make a team with Morbius, Vulture and Madame Web to fight Knull
The big delay reason was the writing and acting strikes.
I feel like that gun thing Happens with any maincharacter getting shot at Everyone becomes storm troopers
It had Blade 2 CGI movements.
I didn't watch the first 8 minutes but I'm still interested in seeing this film.Unlike previous Sony films what I read about Kraven is he's like Black cat a character that doesn't really need Spiderman.
Not enough Morbius or Tom Hardy Venom
Kraven Moorehead
Just FYI that "prison boss gangster leader" is called a Shotcaller
That's dsilly, he should have been called Stabbedcaller
You could say you were..kraven for more.
Christopher Nolan's Batman The Dark Knight released the first ~5minutes or so of that movie before it hit theaters.
I think it was a good fun first 8 min and as a scene in general, it was fun and already better than I expected lol.
Ima go watch it
I hope squirrel girl gives him a pep talk
*The problem for me is that they give Kraven superpowers*
This honestly looked more Deathstroke than Kraven ...
Def a weird thing for Sony to do, like I would expect something like this when the movie hits digital or streaming. Also, will they do this for MCU!Spider-Man 4?
Hearing this made me think they should have did mysterio movie instead of letting Marvel use that villain if they want a ground-based villain now.
WHERE CAN I GET THAT WALLPAPER
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 also released a look at the first 8 mins of the film, so this is not unprecedented for Sony.
I really hope the rights are returned to Marvel studios, But i really hope this movie is atleast enjoyable like the john wick movies, which is a huge ask due to the recent fucked up track record of sony(except venom).
Tldr: it's missing "good"
i like what the filmmakers are doing with this film, they're making a grounded gritty film about a character that does have a crazy fantastical ability. i think that the film not being "dumb" enough is a good thing because it makes the story have more merit. people wanted dumb funny films is what is hurting Sony cause they clearly aren't good at that so going for a much different approach I'll feel can work, even if it isn't the greatest of films i think people can come back to appreciate the story and tone of this film. hopefully it does well
I'm gonna disagree about him not having obvious superpowers.
I need to see Kraven vs RFK Jr
Somehow Kraven is the more moral person in that room
He's kill him
Oh hell yeah.
They didn’t learn from spectacular spiderman when kraven had powers. Now he don’t turn into a lion in the movie but the point is kraven is so skilled he don’t need powers.
so i take it the first eight minutes didn’t exactly leave you cravin the hunter
Still time time to make this Kickass 3
it's Kraven time
Some of the action in the trailers looked so decent I was starting to worry Sony accidentally made a good SPUMM movie, glad they released this chunk to address those concerns.
I just watched Game of Thrones for the first time and I haven’t rewatched John Wick in a while so I got a jump scared at 12:30 when I remembered that Reek killed John Wicks dog😭
Whatchu think of it?
@ I loved it. I binged it all in just a little over two weeks, I really wish I had taken my time with it though instead of watching it all at once.
@@Sheen04 damn 2 weeks for the whole show is some work right there, who's ya favourite character? (Mine's Jamie)
@ I loved Jamie toward the end he really redeemed himself but my favourite character throughout was Tyrion
They showed the first 15(?) minutes of Spiderverse months before it came out, it was the ‘end credit scene’ for Venom, and it’s one of the best animated films this past decade. Not to say I have any faith at all in Kraven, but the act of posting it is not itself bad, but what they showed was bad
