    I currently do Roblox coding tutorials. I want to move towards general videos about Roblox and Roblox studio. My primary name used online is "Aviator" but of course there's a movie called "The Aviator" so I'm not sure what to name it.

    • @channelprofits
      @channelprofits  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would change the name to something relevant to what you do. When it comes to educational channels I believe it's better to stop people having to guess what you do at a glance. For example my channel was Gareth Lamb but I decided to change it to Channel Profits to match my site, so people will be more clear what the channel is about. So you could change it to something like "Roblox Boss" , "Mr Roblox" or "Roblox Tutorials".

    Hi Gareth - so glad I found your video! Somewhere along YT journey I lost myself in the algorithm and recently realised I wasn't producing videos that I'm proud of. My current niche is on culture but I am passionate about career, personal finance & money. The analytics says majority of my audience is between 18-44 of age so I feel like I could just rebrand. I'm dreading starting a new channel over again but I'm just not sure as it's just completely different niche. Any advice?

    • @channelprofits
      @channelprofits  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Poppy. Rebranding can be nearly as much work as starting again. I feel your pain as I’m going through a rebrand on this particular channel. Do you have many subscribers?

    • @channelprofits
      @channelprofits  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ok found your channel. Looks great! Couldn't you make a gradual transition to the new niche? I could see overlap here...Living and working abroad + culture could easily tie into career and personal finance. Personal opinion...I would rebrand and keep the channel, you have a great asset there. It tells a story of your journey and the natural next step is career and money. Good luck

    • @channelprofits
      @channelprofits  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Normally given that your channel is small I would have said start again as that's a very different niche. But, your new videos are getting more views than the old ones, so you can just push forward as you are. Rebrand the graphics so people know it's now about basketball and when you have more content hide the gaming videos. I would also try to post a video once a week.

    I have a Roblox-based channel, and with my Roblox content, I reached 650-700-ish subscribers! However, with the upload of a (now private) Taylor Swift video, I reached 7k. Is it worth rebranding if most of my audience expects Taylor Swift but that was just a one-off video?

    • @channelprofits

      Taylor swift has a huge fan base so they will want more. Question is do you want to make more?

    Hey thanks for posting. It was hard to find a newer video that was sort of relevant on this topic. If you have a moment to look at my general, let me know. If it makes sense for me too change gears that would be great. I was trying to make videos about making videos and doing independent film. However, my life has changed a lot away from that and the last few years and I'm hoping to move towards more of a self-improvement theme. This is a micro channel with very few followers so maybe it's easier to get noticed if I don't have the old algorithm hitting it.

    What should I do if I have a channel that’s making $1,000 a month. But am getting into another niche that’s more profitable. Should I make another channel or switch the original channels direction to the new niche. Does that work? Or am I better off starting a new channel and build it over time

    • @channelprofits
      @channelprofits  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you have a channel already making 1k then I would keep that going. Perhaps go semi faceless for the current channel and use the profits to outsource video production, with the odd video with your face to keep branding (so hybrid channel). Then start the new channel. Or sell the channel and start the new one.

    • @dudewecanfixitshorts

      @@channelprofits So I have “Dude we can fix it” a car fix it channel. Pulls $1k a month. 10k subs. Over 1.4 million views. We started with a iphone and go pros.
      Then we just recently bought 27 acres worth of land in the past year and have been developing a homestead. Filming in 4k 60fps. Drone shots. Go pro shots. Beautiful film style and edits. Started a new channel for that. But I was thinking about what would be better. Keep what we are doing with two channels. Or use the growth we have with dude we can fix it. Rebrand as homestead development and get in the algorithm faster with a channel that’s already monetized. Or just keep with dude we can fix it and grow the homestead channel from scratch.

    • @channelprofits
      @channelprofits  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Very different so I would start a second channel. You would prob lose many subscribers and engagement would tank as few people would be interested in the new content. Put links to the new channel on the old one and mention it is some of your videos for faster growth. It’s easier to grow channels these days and if TH-cam understands the new channel quickly then it would scale quicker than a rebrand job

    Hello! I have a TH-cam channel with a little over 2.2k subscribers as you can probably see since I’m commenting with it.
    I haven’t uploaded in 4 years and as I aged and have gotten more mature I really want to give TH-cam a second try. Only that this time I want to change the niche completely. I just to do gaming videos and content within the same category.
    I would like to start posting this summer and I want to start doing in real life TH-cam videos in the niche of Fitness and tough psychical and mental challenges. As well as some nature exploring and “adrenaline rush” style of videos.
    My least popular videos just to get No less than 100 views but no more than 500 views. And my most popular videos would get 1k to 100k+ views. As I did TH-cam I kinda got an idea of what videos brought in more views and wich ones flopped. I now have spent the last 2 weeks brainstorming TH-cam video ideas, researching the algorithm, spent time practicing my editing and thumbnails and I have a strategy on possibly reviving the channel that I have faith in and that i I’m pretty confident in even though the niche is completely different.
    But with all that said, i would really like to hear your non biased opinion on it. Do you think that i am in the wrong path? Or do you agree that I should try rebranding my TH-cam channel and try to gain back momentum on the channel.

    I'm at the 1.3k subs. I started talking about habits, productivity and job search tips because I'm a career coach. The self development videos didn't work. LinkedIn stuff explored so double down but it's boring crafting this content for an audience that comes and go, no community at all. I'm definitely pivoting but the question is: should I post some of the career advice stuff in a different channel? Just to have a presence for my business... I could reedit some videos and publish once in a while or it's just a waste of time?

    • @channelprofits
      @channelprofits  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, so you want to change direction from Linkedin to more mindset related content? Your channel is small, so don't worry too much, those who are interested in the new content will follow and those who aren't will leave. Try to find ways to make it interesting to subscribers if you want them to follow...But, focus on what is relevant to potential clients and what you are passionate in creating. It'll take time for the switch to take effect and if you are bored then you won't do the work. You will probably still need search traffic to gain new more interested subscribers.

      @@ArtemioSilva TH-cam doesn't like copied content so you couldn't upload videos to one channel from another. Is the new content (mindset etc) completely different to the business content and do you need the business content for work? If so then you probably want to create a new channel for the new ideas. Do a couple videos per month (or outsource) for the old channel to keep it growing while focusing energy on the new project.
